side note: what's so weird about him recognizing the "hooker" as a known porn star? that's perfectly within the realm of reality TV... pretend for a minute this is a real competition in a real reality show (I know, I know, but work with me here!) ...they would use the term "hooker" loosely, of course, but it's possible that they would also do some semi-celeb stunt casting to make it fun. sort of like how they have C-level celebs show up on these things occasionally just to make it a little interesting. (heck, or think about sheryl crow in the bb2 yard, what was that for?)the only "difference" with The Lap Of Luxury is that they show Matt saying "hey, you're tawny" instead of editing it out like they would on another show. it's a wink to the audience, Matt got it too, that's ok. (if anything, it's funny that it reveals that he knows his porn stars so well!) this is all still believeable in the LofL universe. I don't think there's any "tipoff" there.
now, if it was, say, Anderson Cooper naked, and Matt exclaimed "now wait a minute, you're the Mole guy! what are you doing here?" --well, we'd have a problem.
other side note: yes, Matt was sort of over-participating by encouraging Kip to not let go... WELCOME TO REALITY TV, where the producers probably said to him "it will help a lot if you pick sides at the end and be vocal about it; we need to build drama when it comes down to two!" --and that ends up not on the final program. hey, it's a reality fake-out in a show about a reality-fake out, on a reality tv show. now if that doesn't make your head spin, nothing will.
