I am just repeating what I have said before here, so I'm not going to go on at length about it, but I have never considered what Colby or Ian did to be mistakes.I believe the two choices were similar. In both cases, they traded in a great shot at a million dollars for something else.
I know it was within the context of the game, a game where the ultimate goal is to win a million dollars. Thus, I understand people considering it a mistake.
But I would never say friendship or integrity or whatever else it is that you are choosing over the million dollars is a mistake if you feel confident in the decision that you made.
In short, if Colby and Ian still feel like they made the right decision, then it wasn't a mistake.
