I think that, by rule, it had to be unanimous. The men won immunity so each one had a claim to it. You can give up your immunity but it cannot be taken away from you.
If a simple majority wanted to give it up then it would be like stealing it from someone. I don't know this for sure but, based on the contract, I think that's how it works.
As for the rest, I mostly agree with you except for a couple of facts:
- They got rid of one outsider but they created a couple in return. You can't be trusted if you are that sneaky.
- In a switch, they could have put the target on Bill if they acted quickly with the women. Both groups would have had 4 men and 3 women. You immediately neutralize Bill by telling him the 4 guys are sticking together and then you gain the trust of one woman by telling her that Bill is the real target. It could backfire but, trust me, when someone offers you an alliance, the first reaction is to accept it. The guys just needed to find the most paranoid woman in the group and offer her safety to the merge.
