I am not ready for this much football.http://www.mycokerewards.com/catalog/sweepstakes?sorts=PA&itemsPerPage=1000
Count 'em. That's well over a hundred football-related sweepstakes at various prize value levels, with every last one at three points per entry. (It feels as if the more obscure the school or less popular the pro team, the lower the value.) And what did Coke do with so many sweeps on the board, every last one of which is going to run for three months? They changed the rules. From now through Halloween, as long as you're entering into the football sweeps, you can burn one hundred entries a day -- up from fifty. So that's three hundred points of account death on a daily basis just to take a chance on some tickets, trips, or mostly memorabilia. Who's got that kind of total to wreck? Just about nobody -- and nearly all who do, wouldn't.
But to be fair, MCR also gave everyone another means of getting an entry. If you put in a Coke Zero code, you get a free one to the football sweeps of your choice. In fact, you can get multiple entries this way.
To wit, five.
Over the entire three-month span.
And by the way, most Coke Zero caps? Are being read by the system as Powerade Fruit Punch.
*rolls eyes*
BTW, note that Coke does not have a good relationship with the NFL right now. 'New Orleans Professional Team'?
