It would actually have been a great move for Alicia and Christina if they could make a solid pact to go to FTC together. Why? Well, first, they take out Kim, who is the biggest threat to win the whole thing. It would take a successful blindside, of course, whether or not they knew of her HII. And-

The women would still outnumber the men. In the next cycle they could regroup with the women (5-3) to take out the men. Or they could stick with Troy's plan and knock out another women. And-

The women would still outnumber the men. In the next cycle after they could regroup with the women (4-3) to take out the men.

They both improve their odds not simply in terms of lasting longer but of winning the game.

Kim playing her HII to save herself, as noted, an obvious danger to them. The HII would probably go back into play, or an HII, so another danger. And of course the wrong person winning II at the wrong time, but that is always the unavoidable risk.
