Anyone catch this last night? I only saw the last half. Looks like an elimination-type reality show where each week the DAWs contestants play a series of casino games, trying to avoid being eliminated. The players have varied backgrounds (some normally play poker, blackjack, roulette, etc) but now have to show ability to play all to survive. One guy says he has been gambling for 70 years... since he was 13!Neat idea, though I'm not sure you can pick the best player in any of the individual disciplines in such limited number of hands. I'm not a gambler, but understand that these games which involved luck require playing for long periods of time to show skill differences. And one guy is called 'Big Boy' Newsome. Is he related to our newsomewayne?

I loved it!!!I thought about posting about this, but I wasn't sure if it fit in here or not. The next showing for Episode one for the East Coasters is on Thursday into Friday at Midnight EST. Some of the participants are "The Bad Boy of Blackjack": "Hollywood Dave Stann, Ken Eininger (2005 World Series of BJ winner), Evelyn Ng (poker player), and Mike "the Mouth" Matusow (Won the World Series of Poker's 2005 Tournament of Champions)

I'm watching now, but just because Dave Stann, my dealer-of-death from Celebrity Blackjack is on. I'll probably only stay with the show for as long as he stays in the hunt. (And yes, his trash talking annoys me, but it's fun to see him go quiet and thoughtful when the need for a big bet comes his way.) Kind of nice how alliances are just about impossible. Kind of annoying how careful strategies and bankroll conservation can be destroyed by someone going all-in and getting lucky at the right moment.
