Note to JV: I was gonna take this to odometer node, but I couldn't find itMeemo 2000. It's Friday afternoon, and this may quickly fall by the wayside. But I've been debating all along what to for #2000 (it's taken me 2 years, 6 days to get here), and I thought a simple question was in order. What makes you rejoice? What brings you joy? rejoice v.intr 1. feel great joy. 2. be glad. 3. take delight. 4. celebrate some event. I don't necessarily want to know what you are thankful for (that was last month). But what makes you rejoice? What makes you smile? What delights your heart?

I rejoice in the opportunity I've been given with my job. I take joy in knowing that I have a great group of peeps here on OT that will make me laugh every single day. I celebrate in the fact that I know a God who loves me.

Way too many things to list here. Simple things mostly. The one in particular thats making me smile now (besides Meemo) is the fact that I get to spend next weekend with a very wonderful friend who makes my heart smile.

 CONGRATS Meemo!!! Simple things really: My grandchildren Having peeps post to my threads or answer my posts The amazement every time I tell myself I live in Hawaii. Watching them put up the Christmas displays in town and thinking of all the photo ops I can share with OT peeps. (yesterday) All the OT peeps, who on a daily basis, make me laugh, cry, and educate me.

There's a lot of things that bring me joy. Here's a few of them:Seeing my son's eyes light up when he opens a gift that he really wanted. Going to lunch with Mr. L8 (which I just did today!). The fun and witty postings of my fellow OTers. Puppies and kittens. Doing a good deed, or giving to those in need. Driving around looking at people's Xmas lights, while listening to Xmas carols. Meemo's special "Just because" threads. Congrats on 2K, you sweet baby head!

-going to dinner with a fun bunch of guys and gals (tonight!)
-being at work at 5:30 on a Friday and not minding because I like my job
-my dad calling me at work to invite me to dinner even though I can't go tonight
-running until it hurts

Congrats Meemo! I love that baby head. It makes me smile.I rejoice in the fact that it looks like we'll have my mother here for another Christmas, and even though she remembers less everyday, she still remembers her family. I rejoice in the fact that the rest of my family is healthy and happy. I am thankful that everyday I have food on my table, clothes on my back and a safe, warm house to come home to. I am very thankful that I found OT. You peeps are funny, wise and incredibly awesome.

I really love the way she crawls to me with a huge smile on her face that says "Papa's home!" when I come home from the office and say hello. getting my feet wet in the waves even when it's really cold.
hanging over the rail on the wharf with that wind in my face.
running barefeet on the beach in the fog.
laughing in the rain, dancing in the dark, watching the stars
seeing one 'fall'. still takes my breath. kisses and lips. lips are extraordinary things.
touch. when i'm really awake and aware and everything gets so
precious. and it always is, sometimes we are so aware. then.
when my cat smithy puts his head on my shoulder and purrs.
and sleeps. watching his face in bliss, so close. then. going to wendy's house, her daughters, all three at once running to the door - calling my name- saying yay. it blows me away every time. spending time with the closest few. the ones who Know that amazing things are afoot, and they make me remember who i am.
being in the presence of those that know peace is possible. contact. the real thing.

earth and sea and sky and wind and rain and the power of soul.
