I find it interesting that we only saw Lauren talking to Julia but the medical student doesn’t say “Lauren is telling me... She keeps....” but instead we heard: “Lesu is telling us... They keep...” Either Julia is simply projecting what all of Lesu is saying just by Lauren’s words or there have been other talks between the Lesu trio and members of the young Kama brigade. Knowing Kelley and War Dog, I believe they must have said something also but it’s only Lauren that was featured. We have to remember that it’s not only players that have to build their résumé to the future jury members but also the editors have to build the résumé of the eventual winner for the audience. Was that what they were doing by showing only Lauren’s pitch? Great observation, and yes, I think it is manipulation by the editors. Lauren is in a good spot, she has Kelley and WarDog as her shields, but she's loyal and active, and I think a good competitor in challenges, as we have heard other players talking smack about how well she does.
Victoria’s interview: “There’s the Lesu three package deal and then there’s Dave and Devens. We want to get rid of whichever package we consider most dangerous first. Three is bigger than two and it seems that we are all leaning towards Kelley. If we get rid of the Queen bee maybe the whole hive will fall apart.” this casts doubt on Kelley once again, but with this confessional, it appears to me that Victoria is more the snarky narrator than anything else. With the promo, we see her contemplating another plan that "could" work between her and Devins. But, in the end will it?
Kelley’s name has been brought up as the main target so many times this season that it’s become a theme all its own: “Kelley has to go” yet she’s still there. After seeing Parvati, Rob, Cochran and Tyson win in seasons with returning players while even bad ones such as Coach and Stephenie made it to the Finale, many viewers say that returning players have an unfair advantage over the new ones. How would the editors combat that negative reaction if Kelley is our winner? They’d insist on her precarious position in the game, show that she was clearly an underdog and that her win certainly wasn’t an easy ride and that’s exactly what we’ve seen in every episode up to now.
Agree with this statement whole-heartedly. Getting Kelley out each and every week is like a broken record theme. I do think that the editors are also manipulating the events to force the "surprise" ending for us. Last week I was shocked that Kelley chose not to play her idol, so clearly there were events that reassured her not to play it that we were not privy to. All to make Kelley appear as a crafty and worthy winner, perhaps?
Well done as always, Michel! Thanks for your hard work each and every week!
David, what a flip flopper he is. First he's against Kelley, then he's with her, then he's against her....David is all over the place. Should be interesting now that he's exposed with no idol.
