That would be "Awesome"! And a great way for viewers to become invested in the Season's players. We all know our Sun Signs.
In the earlier editions of the Series, representations of the Western (and in China, the Eastern) Zodiac Signs appeared fairly often and the Zodiacs even provided the foundation for a handful of Challenges. Mark Burnett is a Cancer and Jeff Probst is a Scorpio - Signs known for their natives' affinity for the 'mystic' (or, if you will, 'occult'): a stylized Scorpion appeared on some of the HIIs played during Worlds Apart.
In fact, it was because of those repeated references to the Signs that (during Palau) I began to think of Survivor's casting methodology in those terms. I am convinced that the show's producers either directly employ Sun Sign Profiling in their vetting process - or - that the portraits produced by other pshychological/personality (self-assessment) profiling schemes that they may use closely mirror those generated by the Art/Science of Astrology. I can't explain the consistency of the 'Majority Wins Pattern' any other way - there is nothing subjective or arbitrary about the labels/identities affixed and catagorized via the 'test' of birthdate.
So, while myriad factors contribute to the whole of each of our unique beings and several among us may consider all of Astrology's applications to be the products of superstitious hogwash, it remains that for Sun Sign Profiling purposes (and thus for the Pattern's very obvious utility), persons born, for instance, in the Gemini (Air) window are Gemini. Every time ...
And because that is so, it also remains that we can accurately predict, with a degree of regularity that I would wager is equal or superior to that of Survivor's producers and casting directors, whether - barring those producers' and/or directors' seminal interference in the Game - a Gemini (or other Fire or Air native) is waaaay more or waaaay less likely than is any one of the Season's Minority or Majority (Earth and Water) natives to be its Sole Survivor.
I am also convinced that there are other spoiler-worthy patterns within the Signs' Survivor histories just waiting to be discovered. However, I don't have a detail-friendly personality. So, I just keep posting Charts and hoping that someone else has an Aha! Moment.
In the meantime, I've been playing with how Worlds Apart's White Collars, Blue Collars and No Collars would have looked as Movers, Shakers and Makers and will try to post snapshots of those Tribes a little later today.
Preview: At F5, A - for Astrological - Merica would boast Two Movers, Two Shakers and One (Very Disgruntled) Maker.
G: Edited, hopefully and more than once, for clarity ...
