Indeed. What I particularly love about this show is pretty much every i is dotted and every t is crossed by the end of the show, almost nothing is left hanging as a throw-away piece. There's a reason behind every single thing we've seen since Episode 1.By contrast, I was quite frustrated with LOST in particular because there were so many loose ends and more questions being raised than answers in the final seasons, it just became so convoluted. With 'Breaking Bad', it's completely engrossing right to the end, and we know there's going to be a resolution to many storylines on Sunday.
I've been fascinated with the storyline of Walter White going from meek chem teacher to Heisenberg while also showing glimpses of the old Walt from time to time (it's still being debated if that was Heisenberg or if that was ol' Walt on that phone call with Skyler with DEA listening in), and likewise, have been interested in the Jesse storyline with his struggle between compassion and the meth way of life.
Agreed, that Gray Matter thing at the very end of the most recent episode was out of left field, and it was great, keeping the story moving quickly after a bit of a lull with the bits about setting up his life in New Hampshire.
I look forward to the wrap-up including the "Hello, Carol" moment again.
