You are like a rock with edges and you've been chipped away to become a rounded dancer, best dance. Bruno. Very good moments at the start, you lost the rhythm. You are improving and you have to keep the level up through the whole dance. Carrie Ann. I tell you not sing alone and you did it. She i sin a halter and skirt, mostly black with red-gold sparkles. Nice leap by Floyd Len. You scared me. What I like is that you come out 100 % and give it your all. You lose a bit of control, you are great entertainment and the most content of any routine you have done. Bruno. You went from a Bulldozer to a Bull Fighter. You applied yourself and tried to do your Spanish line, this is your dance. Carrie Ann. Was that a lift, can you do that on your own. Karina was on the floor, but she can't do it on your own. That is what I was told the rule are. That was the most improvement with posture and footwork, a bit stiff in the shoulder.   Top

When I notice mistakes I get annoyed when the judges (who are usually very picky) don't. And I would still like Sabrina to have to do a slower dance. I just don't always get the rules, but these episodic threads tend to get so long..... Anyway, I do agree the scores were VERY generous last night. And I also told my hubby, I can't even imagine Jane doing anything but waltzes and fox trots. Why hasn't she done something more like the quick step yet? I suppose it just isn't her turn? Usually the older ones are eliminated right about now-after the waltzes and during the latin dances, where they just can't quite cut it. I think Marie is there for her ability to 'fit into' the act-but how well her dancing will fit into the next few harder, faster dances will really tell. I can't see a snowball's chance of her, in all reality, bringing home that ugly trophy! Of course, she does have most of Utah, and a million Osmonds on her side..... And as I was saying before-when I got into trouble (understand now-not disagreeing!), Len HAD to have been sipping something from under the table last night. Or he got lucky just before the show-he was a 'no rules' kind of guy, and I think that really threw me off, and made me feel it was an unbalanced, and basically unfair show. And, yes, while Mayweather DID do better, I still don't think he's ALL THAT. Super-soapstar man has him beaten by a long shot! In my humble opinion, anyway...   Top

She just HAD to go and yammer about those bloody damn toes on the floor yet again! Seems like she was whining about the damn lifts after damn near every couple, even the ones that didn't lift. Sure, a couple of the lifts were pretty blatant, but most of them were so minor that if you saw them you were watching the stinking feet too damn much and probably missing other stuff. Usually I like Carrie Ann, after all she is a pretty woman, but this week I wish somebody would have slapped her silly.   Top

Since Len for some reason was WAYYYY too mellow (did he get lucky? did someone slip him some special brownies?) I tend to be a rule follower (which is why I LOVE LOVE LOVE the drinking games ), but IMO, more importantly, to do ballroom well, it requires a lot of skill. Once lifts and other tricks are allowed in, the focus shifts from actual dancing to crowd pleasing acrobatics (just look at some of the drek they passed off as ballroom for SYTYCD, and don't even get me started about Argentine Tango). It is a very slippery slope, trust me. The audience doesn't help much either. In Jennie's tango, they did some really difficult, intricate footwork and the audience goes wild when they kick their feet in the air. Go figure.   Top
