You're missing the point entirely. Yes, Kimberly doesn't hold a candle to Mitch's creativity. Yes, Kimberly didn't impress with her ideas.But she's still the better choice.
My understanding all along was that they were looking for a spokesface - someone who can advocate for the craft with some level of knowledge base and ALSO bring in viewers. That's Kimberly. Mitch will have a career backing up someone who has the polish necessary to be out in front. Mitch does not. Kimberly potentially does.
Frankly, neither Kim or Mitch impressed me, but Kim was unquestionably the better choice.
