Next Time on Wickedly Perfect...

The team challenges are over, and each Perfectionist learns that they will finally be judged on their own merit. Who is truly the most talented without the help of others?

The remaining contestants are taken to New York City and given makeovers. But the tension is too thick for one player, who breaks down over the not-so-perfect results.

The contestants struggle with the pressure of performing for their first professional television segment.

Three contestants are eliminated. Who will be going home for good?

I noticed on one site it states the show will be 2 hours this Saturday and include the finale.

I saw that too about tomorrow...seems like they've given up on this show...I like it and wish they had left it on a weeknight...now that Darlene is gone I'm not sure who should win...can't imagine any of those women taking Martha's place...maybe it's time for a man to become the next style setter...just my ramblings

The show was originally scheduled for a 10 week run. If tonight is a two hour episode (which it is), then it was a 10 episode run. No one gave up on the show.

On the contrary, I have given up on this show since they kicked off Darlene. she should definitely have been there tonight, so I won't be watching.

I didn't mean that they hadn't lost viewership. I was just stating that CBS didn't give up on the show and rush it to finish or pull it. Just from reading on this forum I think many peeps gave up not only when Darlene got the ax but also they way they vote people out of the game.

Somehow vols, I knew you would be here although I am not sure how much I will wstch. The last time I started watching I fell asleep, probably for the first time ever during a reality tv show.

Just root for Mitch! He is the most interesting one left in the game.

Hey Volsfan,
I think what I meant by giving up on it was the lack of promotion especially the finale...

Well, the judges will determine the final 2! WOO and HOO! Mitch is bragging of course about how he has done TV before and he will be fabulous!

If Mitch was gone I would be very bored. All the others just blend together.

What was Joan wearing around her neck?

And why am I not surprised that Kimberly is making more ribbon flowers. Does she do anything else?

You mean you don't like Kim's ribbon flowers? HEHEHEHE! She is an idiot at best!

I agree wtih you about Mitch. I hope he wins because I don't think the others can pull it off!

<more ribbon flowers

She simply doesn't get it. Twice, those flowers have sent her to the rock garden, and she presents it yet AGAIN!

I have to wonder what else she can do, other than sewing flowers and sewing buttons on headboards.

Bushnell likes them this go 'round. Go figure.

"RE: SeeBS 3/5/05"
Posted by Loree on 03-05-05 at 08:42 PM
I love that they did not let them watch each other's screen test. They have no idea how the other's did except by what they said and who can believe that? So they are all just sitting there now wondering.

"RE: SeeBS 3/5/05"

Yeah I agree...I like that.

Also, I had no idea that Mitch and Amy were such good friends. They seem really bubbly toward each other.

If I have to put up with Kim over the next hour...I will throw up chunks!

"RE: SeeBS 3/5/05"

Mitch was always helping and coaching Amy. They have never showed us their closeness before.

Kimberly will fall apart the minute she has to do something that doesn't involve those %#&*? ribbon flowers.

I still hate the fact that someone that came back is going into the finals.

Mitch's overall talent put him ahead of Dawn. They couldn't remember what she had done while she was there. I am with them. What did she do?

And they wanted the rivalry of Kimberly and Mitch in the finals.

Those damn wire ribbon flowers are going on to the finals. URGH!

Heather was no surprise really...she is going home. I really liked Amy as a person but I didn't think she could pull it off!

Well, it is down to Dawn and Mitch. I would like for either one of these to go on and I hope they beat the hell outta flower woman. Mitch stays!

Kimberly seems intimidated by Mitch. She is spending so much time talking about doing stuff that Mitch won't do. Mitch is planning his own party his own way. Kimberly is worrying about what Mitch is doing and trying to do something Mitch won't do.

It is almost as if the judges didn't take talent and style into consideration. Why didn't they concentrate on what each person did? Kimberly made ribbon flowers...what else? Really, can you tell me something else she did? Remember she did that table thing when they didn't even use it!

"RE: The Winner is...."
Posted by nerovh on 03-05-05 at 10:45 PM
WTF?!!! I had to wait a few minutes after the show was over to even post because that made me so mad. I have wasted all that time watching the show, and they pick somebody that can't do anything but make fugly ribbon flowers and copy the style of other people. I didn't think Mitch had the best personality in the world, but he had more talent than any of the others on the show, except possibly Darlene. As soon as the judges started talking about how great Kimberly looked (insert puking noises), I had a bad feeling that they had brought her back only because they (mistakenly) thought she was the best looking and most marketable of the contestants. They completely threw talent out the door, and just went on what they perceived as their best marketing bet. Can anyone tell me WTF Kimberly actually did that was worth anything? Everything she did seemed like an imitation of millions of things we've seen before. Almost every time that her team lost, hers was one of the weaker projects. And after telling her a couple of times that those d@mn ribbon flowers were weak, the judges miraculously LOVED them tonight. All I can ask is WTF is wrong with CBS and those judges?

Anyway, my rant is over. I do understand that it's just a reality show, but those stupid ribbon flowers just got me all riled up!

"RE: The Winner is...."
Posted by most crazed on 03-06-05 at 02:47 AM
SO VER TRUE & SAD!!!At least Martha is actually talented. Even those who despise her admit that. A love hate thing, eh. Kimberly? She is an empty, untalented sour-faced has-been cheerleader with nothing going for her. Pathetic. Ribbon flowers indeed! Christ, small children can make those %#*@ things. It is "today's activity" at the local nursing home! A FACT!!! Accidently drop a roll of wired ribbon, then try picking it up, and so help me, you almost can not help but make this miracle ribbon flower!! Try it. You'll see! For this, she is a winner? Big whoop....THIS is why I do not watch these so-called reallity shows very often. They aren't real. Reality would have the best, most talented person possible (Darlene in my opinion, and a couple other possibles) win the power and influence of several TV spots, and a magazine, etc., etc. Who are these judges anyway? At least B. Flay can cook. The other two, well, what exactly can they do well enough to judge that was being judged, other than attend parties? The camping episode did it for me. What a bunch of fools!! All of them, especially the judges, were ignorant and looked like fools, except Darlene, and maybe Mitch. Is it a rule now that we all have to hate the person who teaches anything to do with domestic arts? Other than thefirst 2 seasons of survivor I despise so-called reality TV as it is only reality for the moguls who script it for dopes like us who watch this sort of thing and the sex objects that kill to be part of it. I had hopes. Dashed again!!Never again.......

"RE: SeeBS 3/5/05"
Posted by neil on 03-05-05 at 10:33 PM
They just killed the entire show and concept with that ending. Kimberly won! Give me a break.

The judging was pathetic for the final. No consideration for what had happened in previous shows. How could you pick Kimberly over Mitch after all Mitch had done the entire series?

It seems to me that CBS producers cherry-picked Kimberly early on. Think about it, she didn't deserve to win, no other competitors thought she should, and she amazingly got put back in the game....which was decided by the judges!

Its a real shame that they had to go with the boring Martha-like one, rather than take the risk on a (possibly gay) male.

Gay or not gay.....Mitch was so cocky that it was hard for him to win anything.........I was so sick of hearing about how great he was........who would want to listen or watch him on TV? To be honest Kimberly may have not brought much to the table but she had class and was a much better sport than Mitch was.......he is just a poor loser.......so now he can go back to Chicago and be cocky there.........

Totally agree, majictiger. Look up the word hubris in the dictionary and you'll find a picture of Mitch. What annoyed me the most about him? The fact that, because he's such an #####, he had me rooting for Kimberly at the end.

That cheesy smile didn't help either.

Would never, never, NEVER watch Mitch's show. There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance and Mitch lives on the wrong side of that line.

Kimberly was the better choice as a spokesperson/TV personality. She had a clear vision. I'll grant that Mitch has shown himself to be more talented and creative. Perhaps he can get a job on Kimberly's creative staff, a role much better suited to his strengths.

"RE: SeeBS 3/5/05"

<clear vision

And that was..........? I saw nothing original about her. She's terrific at following directions for crafts.

Here's hoping she has a talented staff around her, a la Martha Stewart. Otherwise, we're condemned to 57 Ways to Make and Use Ribbon Flowers as her first book.

You hit the nail on the head. In a sound-byte world, Mitch is intolerable. Yes, he is more talented, but he doesn't translate when it comes to the quick and dirty realities of today's media. His screen test was at once completely flat, uncomfortably persnickety, and supercilious. How he pulled that off, I don't know... He'll have a fine career doing background work for someone like Kimberly. He'll be the brains behind someone else's empire. But bottom line, he's just not marketable.

Of the two who were left at the end, Kimberly was absolutely the right choice.

So, let me see if I understand what you guys are saying...Just because someone is arrogant no one will watch? Or if you want to say that he comes across as completely flat, uncomfortably persnickety, and supercilious then no one will watch? Hell, sounds like you just described Donald Trump and Martha Stewart.

This competition isn't about being likeable...it was about being "wickedly perfect" and I am sorry buy Mitch fit the bill to a T! The people on this forum that are backing the pick of Kimberly, I challenge you to make a list of the things that she created and then compare them to a Mitch list AND Kimberly's flowers can only be counted once not the 3-4 times she made them!

How can you build a domestic empire with someone that isn't talented? There were people on this forum saying they didn't like Bobby Flay but at least he is talented and is why he is where he is today!

"RE: SeeBS 3/5/05"
Posted by NDNation on 03-06-05 at 03:28 PM
You're missing the point entirely. Yes, Kimberly doesn't hold a candle to Mitch's creativity. Yes, Kimberly didn't impress with her ideas.

But she's still the better choice.

My understanding all along was that they were looking for a spokesface - someone who can advocate for the craft with some level of knowledge base and ALSO bring in viewers. That's Kimberly. Mitch will have a career backing up someone who has the polish necessary to be out in front. Mitch does not. Kimberly potentially does.

Frankly, neither Kim or Mitch impressed me, but Kim was unquestionably the better choice.

I still disagree with you.

I don't think Kimberly is the best spokesperson! If they were looking for a spokesperson for the craft then that is exactly how the show should have been promoted. Not someone that is perfect. If they were looking for a spokesman then they should not have had challenges in which they were judged by creativity.

This whole competition has been a rip off at best. I liked the idea but the voting and the judges were a total farce. Just look at my post down below in my reply to "wait a minute". The judging has made no sense from the outset if they truly look at the show as a whole.

Whether you or anyone else liked Mitch or Kimberly...they were the final two. So, there had to be a winner.

In a sound-byte world, Mitch is intolerable. Yes, he is more talented, but he doesn't translate when it comes to the quick and dirty realities of today's media.

As someone who didn't think Kimberly deserved to be in the finals (NOTHING she has done individually impressed me), I hate admitting that you're right.

I watched the finale with my mother. She's the target audience for this winner - she watches those types of shows, she buys a lot of those types of magazines - and she hated Mitch. She thought he was an arrogant loudmouth who just tried to bully everyone else. If I tried to point out some of the things he did well during the show, she'd just keep talking about how he screwed up the antiques challenge. She couldn't stand him, and nothing he could do could make up for the fact that his personality was abrasive.

The point is, he made a bad impression personality-wise, and there are too many viewers who would be turned off immediately by him.

Oh, and as the "ordinary viewer" (aka, someone who doesn't spend a lot of time rehashing shows on reality forums), she agreed completely that the final 2 were not the most talented competitors. But out of the two choices she had, she strongly preferred Kimberly to Mitch. His attitude completely turned her off.

And as proof that this woman isn't completely off the wall, she can't stand Candace either.

At least Mitch did some projects that I found attractive and original. That pie safe (that's what it looked like, anyway) that he painted and decoupaged with the butterflies was really gorgeous. That is what inspired me to refinish an old cabinet that we had just sitting out in our barn. Mitch had better taste, more originality, and more talent than Kimberly. I mistakenly thought that was the point of the show. Mitch may be unlikable, but Kimberly is unlikable AND doesn't have talent. I'd put up with Mitch if he'd give me some more good ideas for my house!

I'm SOOOOO glad I didn't watch tonight! Checked in here to see who won, but I had a horrible feeling it would not be Mitch. Darlene was actually my 1st choice, but he was my 2nd. Kimberly! Oh. My.
Gawd.

Well, at least this has cured me from watching reality shows. If they're smart, they won't try to have a Wickedly Perfect 2.

Although I didn't like Kim's style and her behavior on the show wasn't charming I honestly think that she was the better choice beyond the game. My main reasons for thinking this are that she is much more marketable than Mitch, assuming that a large percentage of people who will watch them in the future and read their magazines never saw the show - Mitch would just come across as weird and I think he lacks an audience. Kimberly on the other hand will be very appealing to a much higher percentage of people who give a damn about tablescapes and faux finishes. JMHO

Yep, she can "borrow" the tablescapes idea from her friend Dawn, which about sums up Kimberly's creativity. Maybe decorate the table cloth with ribbon flowers! I didn't care for Mitch's personality, and he was trying to hard for the Crest smile award, but there's no denying he was so much more talented than Kimberly. I hope she drives off into the sunset in her gas-guzzling Denali (I guess they have to give those gas hogs away now), and her show tanks. She's good looking, and has perfect teeth and lovely blond hair. That's what won her the competition, and I think Bobby Flay had his arm twisted to vote for her, IMHO.

Does anyone one else feel cheated??? I can't believe they picked Kim...I know I won't watch her show. I'm so glad Martha Stewart will be starting her's again. I'm sick of all these makeover shows...I can't take anymore "Live Like a Star"

Indeed! Welcome home Martha! The one they all tried to be...without success! And sorry, Kimberly is in no way attractive for someone so young and neither is Mitch (I too grew weary of the smile and self manipulation of his own back). But then, Martha is no centerfold either. Former model, yes, a hundred years ago. But while on TV? She was comforting and not threatening.....lookswise I mean....Not at all unattractive, but noting the girls all wanted to ......look like and the guys ....well whatever....

Why does someone have to be good looking? This show has NOTHING to do with looks or at least wasn't suppose to be. However, it seems more people are basing on watching the show because the winner was attractive. That wasn't how CBS positioned the show in the beginning. If it were about looks they would have named the show Who is hot...oh wait they already tried that!

........am I crazy, or shouldn't the food have been a MAJOR factor in their decision?! Booby Flay and Candace were raving about Mitch's hors d'oeuvres, and Booby, the chef, decides to go with Timberly? (She specializes in wood, you know.)

The producers must have twisted his arm or threatened his Early Show contract.

The thing I don't get is that there were, if my memory is right (and we all know about my memory), 7 garden eliminations where the players voted someone off from their team. Out of those 7 times, Mitch said that Kimberly had been to the garden 3 times. This also doesn't take into consideration that the other team (not Kimberlys) went to the garden. She was up for eliminations almost 50% of time.

I bring this up because the way they voted people off was the judges picked the worse two personal projects. In the judges eyes they NEVER liked one of her personal projects. THIS.IS.WRONG!

We got hosed Tommy! We got hosed!

<they NEVER liked one of her personal projects. THIS.IS.WRONG!

Exactly. And the idiot did the flowers twice and was eliminated twice.

And that's the craft she won on?! Gimme a break.

I guess they should have named the show "Wickedly Marketable" or some such. Apparently they decided that the one who they thought looked the best would win, regardless of who actually had the talent. I can't believe that they voted for someone who doesn't even TASTE the food before she serves it at her party. If they just wanted looks, they should have let Tim win, and let him gardern without his shirt on! I would have watched that over Kimberly anytime.

I thought Darlene was the hardest worker, amd most creative. She was voted off because the others did not want to compete against her, but I knew for sure that she would not have been picked as the winner, no matter what she did.
A middle aged woman is not as marketable as a blue-eyed blonde like Kimberly who looks like a young Martha Stewart.
I think the contestants should have been screen tested demonstrating their skills prior to being picked for the show, so it wouldn't have been an issue. The entire premise of the show
was bogus. The judges picked Kimberly because she has wickedly perfect looks.
This show was a sham, and I would never watch another one.

I only watched a couple of episodes but what strikes me as the difference between the two finalists is that IMO Mitch would appeal more to urban, hip crowd while Kimberly (who struck me as being Martha Stewart lite) would get more of the suburban, small town type of people.

SO Mitch would be a bit, excuse the overused expression, more edgier and risky, and Kimberly would be the safer choice.

It was also interesting to see that Mitch seemed to have definite, specific ideas on what he want and Kimberly had more general ideas and relied on the planners to to suggest the details.

As to drinks, another telling point is the Mitch used a drink he created and Kimberly used a drink suggested by the caterer, though in the rock garden she was acting like she created it.

The show definitely turned out to be a sham in the end. Look back at all the episodes and you can clearly see Darlene put in the most effort, had the most creative ideas, and was the most talented across the board on all tasks. Not to mention she has an on-air presence that stood out from the others, as over dramatic as it may have seemed at times. Just imagine how well Darlene would have done on the screen test had she competed in that challenge. I think a Mitch vs. Darlene finale would have been a better representation of true talent vs. talent and a better representation of what we all thought the show would be about. But the powers that be at CBS thought bringing back a no-talent from the dead (because she's got that look) and pitting her against the cocky Mitch would be good television. CBS didn't live up to what they said the show was about, finding the "next authority on at-home living". It should have gone to Darlene.

I guess it won't matter that much that Kimberly won anyway. What are a few guest spots The Early Show, a book about ribbon flowers, and a development deal that will never get off the ground going to matter anyway. Darlene already gets more face time on the Home Shopping Network now than Kimberly will ever have on television.

Is she one of the spokespeople, and was that a result of being on WP? I don't watch HSN.

Darlene is a vendor guest on Home Shopping Network. She sells Euro-Pro sewing machines. She has been doing it for a few years that I know of. Definitely before Wickedly Perfect came out. She does a lot of on-air demonstrations and quick projects with the sewing machines.

For going through the agony of watching this show. I was sooo looking forward to it, but it fell off my radar right from the start. I began to keep up with the episodes, but generally had a ho-hum feeling about what I did see. I didn't have a clue that the finale was so soon, and missed it entirely. Peeps comments are always so much more entertaining.

Another turdie in the can. ::sigh:: (I wonder if those people are still in "Forever Eden?"
