Interesting reading, once again. A few comments:*Now more than ever I wish the race would get here. It seems that less and less time is spent on the racing aspect of the show. I don't absolutely hate it, but the whole drama aspect of it doesn't interest me that much, especially when I it took place between people who knew each other for I believe less than a week at this point.
*I would have picked either kid 1 or kid 2. The logic Levar used was what I was thinking for kid 2. Coaches are hard asses, regardless of what they coach. I'm sure he's forced his kid into every possible sport available.
*If I were Eric, I wouldn't have picked Tara, but it's hard to explain my thinking. But this was without knowing there were gonna be 3 guts matches in the next episode. Basically, she was no threat to anyone if she were to be left alone. The editing was pretty creative though... how before heading to commercial, something was said to the extent of "the biggest shock yet!" And then voicovers of Eric badmouthing Levar for about 5 minutes. I guess the shocking part was that he didn't pick Levar after they made it look like he would?
*Did anyone notice the goof on the standings? Right at the beginning of the show, Tara was listed as having $1080. And obviously she only had $580 at that point. So right then, I knew she was picked as an owner. Bad editing.
*For the race, it was getting down to the dregs. When one bad horse outbreaks another kinda bad horse by that far, unless he is completely lacking in acceleration (like some in the stable) he's going to win. And he did.
*I hope that when they have the 3 races next episode, the top 3 in the standings have some sort of advantage, whether it be picking first or what. Because otherwise, what was the point of getting into those spots to begin with...
*If indeed it was important to be in the top 3 spots, then it doesn't make sense that Dean wouldn't choose to run the race himself. He has no money at all.
