First of all, in order to understand the clue you must know that the recruits have permanent assigned posts to stand in front of at Dismissal Hill...here is the order which I figured out by pausing it several times and figuring out who stood where:Back Row (facing recruits from left to right) Thomson//Whitlow//Morettiii//Hutak//Coddington//Lauder//Jackson//Katherine
Front Row
Brown//Meyer//Harr//Wolf//Pupo//Yaney//Morettyyy//Park
Now, on to the clue:
In that montage before the opening credits where they explain the game....at the very end, after they explain the gauntlet, there is a helicoptor shot of Dismissal Hill.
After watching it over and over and over again in slow motion I figured out that the following posts DO NOT have people in front of them: Katherine
Park
Pupo
Harr
THOMSON
And no, he is not voting at the time...the only other 4 people in the shot are the four D.I.'s.
So, what does this mean?? I think it can only mean one thing.
First of all, notice how we have only ONE player still in the game that is missing...what about the take down rule? Shouldn't there be another recruit missing?? The answer is NO! If this was the start of E#4 tribal council, then we would have another missing recruit. So this photo is NOT from E#4, it is from E#3. Thomson obviously had to be removed from the game for a medical reason...that is the only reason he would not be at dismissal hill...remember, that the dismissed recruits STAY on the hill until after everyone else is left, so the only reason Tomson could NOT be on that hill is if he was gone before the Tribal council even started. Much like in E#1 when they approached the hill with only 15 recruits, they are gonna go into E#3 TC with only 11 recruits. It makes perfect sense when you look at the events of tonight's episode....Thomson spent the entire episode at the hospital, not in the medic tent, but at the fricken hospital....the guy's hands and feet are swelling up like he's gonna die of a stroke pretty soon. The medic took one look at him and sent him to the hospital. He came back two minutes before tribal council...we have no idea of his condition.
So, this means that only one person is getting voted out next week...no take down which sucks cause that is the best part of the show.
Say goodbye to Thomson next week. The question is, with a free vote coming up (no take down) who gets targetted?? (I'll save this question for its own thread once we get a consensus on my Thomson theory)

.....remember E#1, Katherine didn't go to the Hill after quitting the game, she just left. If Thomson is in bad enough shape to have to leave the game for medical reasons, I doubt they would make him come back and stand by his pole before leaving.

>an empty post for Thomson. .....no, because in the aerial photo I am refering to Harr and Pupo are also missing, and we know from watching last nights show that Thomson re-joined the recruits BEFORE Pupo and Harr got tossed. Plus, the aerial photo is during the day with the sun blazing away....last nights tribal council was at NIGHT.
I have a hard time believing that Thomson gets to go on medical leave AGAIN and miss out on all the activities.....I got to believe that if he still has medical issues in the next episode, he'll get pulled from the game.

OK, does everyone agree that Thomson is gone -- the previews they have been running all weekend now would seem to leave little doubt (damn, I *HATE* having a spoiler that only lasts for 2 days  )

>leave little doubt ...I haven't seen them yet, but I read something on the basher board about someone getting hurt....plus, I went back and looked at the opening montage and I was right, Thomson is DEFINITELY not at his post. Not bad guys, brand new show, not even three weeks old and I think we've already spoiled one episode.

SInce I blew the call on Meyer, I thought I'd bump this up and give myself a pat on the back (even though FOX all but gave this one away in commercials 4 days after I figured it out.Oh well, a small victory.

Yes.. I saw the previews as well. It showed Thomason on a stretcher in pain.. It showed some of the recruits crying.. Meyer with a ..ahem... tear running down his cheek.
