First of all, in order to understand the clue you must know that the recruits have permanent assigned posts to stand in front of at Dismissal Hill...here is the order which I figured out by pausing it several times and figuring out who stood where:

Now, on to the clue:

In that montage before the opening credits where they explain the game....at the very end, after they explain the gauntlet, there is a helicoptor shot of Dismissal Hill.

After watching it over and over and over again in slow motion I figured out that the following posts DO NOT have people in front of them:

Katherine
Park
Pupo
Harr
THOMSON

And no, he is not voting at the time...the only other 4 people in the shot are the four D.I.'s.

So, what does this mean?? I think it can only mean one thing.

First of all, notice how we have only ONE player still in the game that is missing...what about the take down rule? Shouldn't there be another recruit missing??

The answer is NO!

If this was the start of E#4 tribal council, then we would have another missing recruit. So this photo is NOT from E#4, it is from E#3.

Thomson obviously had to be removed from the game for a medical reason...that is the only reason he would not be at dismissal hill...remember, that the dismissed recruits STAY on the hill until after everyone else is left, so the only reason Tomson could NOT be on that hill is if he was gone before the Tribal council even started.

Much like in E#1 when they approached the hill with only 15 recruits, they are gonna go into E#3 TC with only 11 recruits.

It makes perfect sense when you look at the events of tonight's episode....Thomson spent the entire episode at the hospital, not in the medic tent, but at the fricken hospital....the guy's hands and feet are swelling up like he's gonna die of a stroke pretty soon. The medic took one look at him and sent him to the hospital.

He came back two minutes before tribal council...we have no idea of his condition.

So, this means that only one person is getting voted out next week...no take down which sucks cause that is the best part of the show.

Say goodbye to Thomson next week.

The question is, with a free vote coming up (no take down) who gets targetted?? (I'll save this question for its own thread once we get a consensus on my Thomson theory)

We now know that Katherine, Park, Haar and Pupo are waxed. In last night's episode Thomson joined everyone late, coming off medical leave. That MAY be why you saw an empty post for Thomson.

At no point was Thomson not present at the same time as Haar and Pupo. He arrived at the beginning of the show, before voting was even cast. If there is a scene of him, Haar and Pupo gone at dismissal hill, it is NOT from episode 2.

Perhaps he is on sick leave again? There can't just be one person missing, unless at the small point of just being dismissed, and having not chosen your sacrifice yet. But you would see him at least standing at the podium. With him not present at all, I think evidence shows him sick again.

.....remember E#1, Katherine didn't go to the Hill after quitting the game, she just left. If Thomson is in bad enough shape to have to leave the game for medical reasons, I doubt they would make him come back and stand by his pole before leaving.

.....no, because in the aerial photo I am refering to Harr and Pupo are also missing, and we know from watching last nights show that Thomson re-joined the recruits BEFORE Pupo and Harr got tossed.

Plus, the aerial photo is during the day with the sun blazing away....last nights tribal council was at NIGHT.

I have a hard time believing that Thomson gets to go on medical leave AGAIN and miss out on all the activities.....I got to believe that if he still has medical issues in the next episode, he'll get pulled from the game.

Does anyone know if there is a rule that no matter how ill/injured a person is they have to attend the D-hill ceremony?

I was wondering if they are too ill to go to the ceremony if that automatically kicks them out of the game. Or can they stay in the infirmary while the others do their booting and still be voted out or taken out. I would guess it is up to the DI. But for the sake of the drama I would think you have to be at the D-hill ceremony.

I just wondered if Thomson could still be ill in bed but not yet kicked out of the game. Reason for him missing?

Are you referring to a shot during the shows introduction, where they are defining how the game is played? I just watched this opening again, and I watched this part in slow motion. I know I previously said 10 people standing there, I was wrong. I distinctly see 12 different contestants standing there. This is for next week, yes, but everyone is present. At least, to my limited perceptions ;p

I agree that if Thomson continues to have medical problems he'll be medically dismissed. They can't afford the legal issues if something were to happen to him (despite signing all those agreements, etc.)

I agree with Shakes on this. Thomson looked like he was about to croak last night and I think a few more days of this physical punishment is going to cause him to either bail or get a Medical Discharge.

I agree, Thomson looked to be in rough shape last night...and it was not even explained whether or not he was still ailing.

What about the picture of 6? Should that be dismissed? Thomson is featured pretty strongly in that.

I need to see this picture, is this the scene I remarked on in my other post? During the 'show description' segment at the very beginning of the episode? I thought I only caught 10 people in that segment.

...I haven't seen them yet, but I read something on the basher board about someone getting hurt....plus, I went back and looked at the opening montage and I was right, Thomson is DEFINITELY not at his post.

Not bad guys, brand new show, not even three weeks old and I think we've already spoiled one episode.

Meyer with a ..ahem... tear running down his cheek. They sure make it seem like he goes in the preview. Hope you are right, Shakes...and again.. I believe you are!

SInce I blew the call on Meyer, I thought I'd bump this up and give myself a pat on the back (even though FOX all but gave this one away in commercials 4 days after I figured it out.
