Snidget 43862 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 07-02-13, 07:42 PM (EST) "SYTYCD-10 Top Twenty, redux" So if they do it like last season everyone will dance then they'll eliminate from last weeks low vote total. So I suspect we will see all 20 dance tonight then see 2 eliminated at the end of the show. Carlos: He did alright. Clunky and perhaps unrehearsed but there were glimpses of greatness. Brittany: Well done. Definitely better than Mariah. Jade: A for creativity. But it somehow still didn't catch my fancy. After all these seasons I'm still surprised when dancers don't spend the time creating kick-arse choreography for their solos. Judges decision: Carlos and Brittany. Hmm... Overall, they were definitely 2 of the weakest. He is a bad boy, and she is giving him what for. And she is dressed in more pleather than should be allowed. Mama Knows Best Jessie J Death spot and not a good routine, IMO. Insta-prediction, they will be in danger next week. Nigel-what an opening, does your Daddy know what you are up to. She scared the hell out of Curtis. Very sexy routine, danced brilliantly, I couldn't take my eyes off Hayley. Got us off to a sexy start. Mary-You need to get your happy dancing going, I loved it. Curtis you are a little giggle bucket. No way be down and dirty and you were. Hayley the fourth came a couple days early with the fireworks going off on that stage. You are explosive, the technical merit is unbelievable. Christina-I forgot you were a tapper. Hayley you are insanely sexy and dangerous, we should leave you by yourself for a couple of minutes. Sometimes you didn't ooze into the words so much. You had to move into the words, more fluid and more hard. Anticipation is what we want to feel. Sequel to the the going to war (Katharine), this is the coming home. Old Skin Olafur Arnalds Nigel - Loved the music. Nico, you get better every week. Alexis had the toughest job. Tappers don't straighten your legs, you did very well, work harder at that. Like watching you. Mary - You guys let the music take you someplace uninhibited. Nico you were fabulous. Alexis it was so real, so honest. Christina - I think you are just such a beautiful dancer. Did you change that beginning from dress, yes. That's what I blame it on. It was good but I found that Nico's partnership was a little lacking. None of his lifts looked easy and effortless. And Alexis seemed detached from all of it. Not high on the chemistry level. Mary - Fun number, the first cut is always difficult we adore you, you got to share with all of us. BluPrint did a fine job, the lines are not quite there. Got to stretch them out. You should have hit it when the music swelled, gotta dig deeper. Christina. Sad to see you go. BluPrint I think you are wonderful, you are a dance. If you are to ever get Broadway again, this is the one where you can be as goofy and have as much abandon, and Nigel can't say you are pulling face. As long as it is warranted in truth. This is the one time when you can really celebrate. Let all that stuff go. Nigel - Sell, sell, sell, have to believe in what you are selling. You need sincerity and if you can fake that, you have it made. Just sell yourself and the story. Christina - Last week's number, I worried you wouldn't have a moment again and you did. Nigel - Particularly the lift at the end. I was shocked Alan when you were in the bottom three. I can't think of any of the other guys that could have done this routine. They made you look fantastic. The intensity you gave for a Jazz dancer and a sensational dress. Mary - It is all about passion. Fever in the mind. I have a fever, you had passion all over that stage. It was crazy. Off the charts. It is the physicality of that routine, how tough that is to do. Shocking to me you were in the bottom Makenzie, that was fanstastic. Mary - loved beginning end, bits in the middle. Makenzie you are humble and talented, it speaks volumes. How you did that snake you emboddied this whole routine. Tucker there was a lot of guiding, missed the rhythmical action. Some things just so so. Terrific job with partnering. Christina - I was entertained, the story was spot on. I forgot you were contemporary with that pose at the start, at the end, that raw dirtiness it requires. Jenna you are awesome. Nigel - Debbie Downer. Jenna in your genre, there wasn't enough Cha Cha, do separate the genres. When it starts blending in we have lost the idea of this format. Tucker you look like oyu have the style for it. "RE: Post show thoughts" LAST EDITED ON 07-04-13 AT 01:40 PM (EST) Haven't had a chance to watch the show but I noticed in the comments that two of the bad pieces were numbers where one of the partners was already eliminated. These guys live off adrenaline and when you're out, you lose that. Gotta be tough. The only number I've seen so far is Curtis and Hayley's and Curtis is far too baby-faced to play that. I've said before that with such a young group many won't be able to play the roles where maturity/world experience is an asset. I think we saw that. Definitely seeing some separation between top 10 material and the rest. Several had back to back good routines and others had back to back bad routines. ETA: how did Carlos and Brittany get to the bottom, Nigel? Easy. They had no face time either in the auditions or in Vegas. It's a bit disingenuous for you to say that. There were far more memorable numbers in the first week than the second. One thing though. Both hip hop numbers were very strong this week whereas last week they were terrible. Outside of the hip hop, I enjoyed the jazz (Paul & Makenzie) and then it drops off quickly. I agree with Nigel that the cha cha didn't have much cha cha in it. While watching I was thinking that it didn't look like Tucker did any cha cha and just let Jenna do the cha cha-ing around him. This may be one of the only times that Nigel really calls out the choreo. I do like that they are voting individuals and not couples because I'd save Hayley but not Curtis. BluPrint and Jade can't be long for the show either and I don't see Nigel going out of his way to save them.
