As a fan of the "paranormal", I thought it would be interesting. By the time the hour was up, I was hoppin' mad at that "woman", Janet. She is a complete NUT! Not only is she (As someone stated above) in her own little world on how everyone (including her kids) perceives her, but she has the parenting and social skills of a leper. She was completely rudeand lazy. Those poor 7 kids were terrified but she kept on talking about ghosts, she didn't care, it was all about her getting attention. The soccer game really showed that Janet only cares about Janet. The reason her family is so tight lipped around that sweet lady, Mary Beth, is because they are so used to being bashed by the "woman" of the house anytime they open their mouths. That "woman" should seek therapy as should her husband for being so co-dependant. I truly hope she watches the episode or even reads messages about the show she was on and sees what a horrible selfish woman she is. (Steps off soap box) heheh sorry about that. and Hi all! Hugs. (everybody loved the cajun family as did I) then I saw the santa cruz family with that controlling father. (but sympathatic sons which I hope can go out and see the world) then mother from Minnesota who didn't know the meaning of fun but the mother from tennessee was able to teach the minnesota family how to have fun. Now we got this Physco Mom who doesn't work a lick. can you imagine inviting a bunch a people to your house without any notice to you family and then not doing a thing to help while you eat all the food while the unprepared family does all the work. Ughhhh this women makes me madder than any I have ever seen on that show I have seen some crazy people on this show but she takes the cake. I think the ghost seeing mother is the most self absorbed mother I have ever seen on tv (did you see the shrug she gave when the other mother said that she probably missed her family?) when I think of my mother I think of a women who cares more for her kids than herself, not so with this women everything revolves around her. the "good mother" (hey you know the one, the one whose family was so happy to see her)knows that you don't have to understand your children (boy was she ever the nerd taking them skating LOL)to support them. the kid who will probably someday be a tattoo artist (hey better than many options sons of crazy women have, LOL)probably wishes he had a "good" mom instead of the "crazy" one he got. wow just watching the money part, I think that the crazy mom did a good job as well as the good mom (but crazy mom didn't like the idea of all that money going going to the kids) the ending (with the kids of crazy mom looking so depressed) was I think a statement of "boy, I wonder what it would be like to have been raised by a good mom". now normally I don't like to critize other people's parenting but this show really puts it out there to be critized.   Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Yes, I think they're saddened by the taste of what it would be like to have a mother focused more on the family than herself. "You'll come out to eat with us, and you'll be happy about it." Yeah, lady - that's some great mothering there. Your children are depressed, and that's how you handle it? Don't be surprised when they make their escape at 18 and never look back. That the other mother actually contributed to the family and made breakfast and muffins and then said something to the effect of "thats what real mothers do". I about fell out of my bed giggling. I thought it was wonderful that the new "mother" went to the tatoo shop and talked him up. She showed that boy that there are people that care about him and what he does. I think in a sense, she saved him. Those children got a taste of what normal unselfish mothers are like. As did the husband. Maybe now the husband will stop letting her walk all over him and the children and make her get off her butt or go out the door. Hugs to you all!
