By the end of last night’s show, I was sobbing for Kris, Nicki, and Elizabeth. My sister is a lesbian, who’s partner has a child and he is the most well-adjusted, smart, creative, well-mannered 10 year old I’ve ever been around. They have a healthy, happy, family relationship. And my entire family accepts them with open arms. As Jesus Christ would do! Watching this Gillespie woman compare Kris to a predator absolutely made my blood boil. How dare her with that self-righteous attitude make such horrible, hateful, non-Christian, IGNORANT statements. And to say to Nicki that she can “pretend to not be gay” drove that nail home about how uninformed Mrs.Gillespie is. And coming from a black woman in a mixed marriage who has probably seen bigotry firsthand in her time……..shame on you.To quote Martin Luther King, Jr.: Nothing in the world is more dangerous than a sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity. Kris, Nicki, and Elizabeth: You have supporters in TN and your family is welcome with open arms into my house ANYTIME!!! God bless you all!!
