volsfan 19846 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Playboy Centerfold" 03-26-04, 09:27 PM (EST) "Thoughts and Discussions of Episode 3!" I just wanted to start a thresd where we could discuss this episode. What were your thoughts? What caught your eye? Has your mind changed about someone? If so, why? The one thing I will include here is that I am very confused on why they didn't show us more about the Eddie thing. I thought they did a terrible job in telling that story! I can only guess that Eddie felt he blew his cover after the hot tub fiasco with Ryan, but who knows. I wish we could at least have seen a closet confessional with Eddie explaining why he left. I think Banks is straight but I've ever met a man that admitted he shaved his legs. What's up with that? At least lie and say you're a swimmer or something. So, my question: I think most of us are fairly sure that Bradley is gay, but do you think the guys' behavior in this scene sheds any light on Chris? (I also believe one of the other guys had mentioned that Brad and Chris have been spending a lot of time together...) What do you think? About Jackie and the swing dates...I think it is a great strategy of Jackie to ask what the other guys think. At this point in the game, the gay guys have more than likely found the gaydar in the family members. So, it would help to get all guys opinions of each other. Now, she would have to figure out who is lying and who isn't which is the premise of the show! Look, I don't think for one minute that any of these peeps are really there looking for true love...even Jackie. Jackie may be more interested in getting to know these guys and find someone to get to know better and may be even date...However, I don't think true love is in sight of anyone. Just my thoughts on the show: I was so glad Ryan wasn't there last night-- couldn't have watched his antics for another episode. All *that* tension just dissolved. Have you guys discussed already how much Jackie looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt? Esp. at eliminations with all of the cheezy grins and facial expressions. My DH thinks they intentionally chose someone "dumb" so the show would be more likely to keep its money. Now Jackie's not a flaming idiot, but the fact that it took her several days to figure out she had to actually play the game (duh!) is a bit telling. She reminds me of a lot of my young sorority students--pretty but bland (no offense to anyone here I hope-- I just see a lot of sorority girls before they've matured into women). This blandness may just be the odd circumstances she's in, but there is NO connection between any Jackie and any of the guys. I completely agree that nobody's in it for love. On the Bachelor/ette by now, everybody would be confessing undying love and crying when eliminated! I can't figure out if Bill calling all the guys he thinks are straight "boring" indicates that he's a gay guy who knows gay guys are interesting or that he's a straight guy who knows gay guys are interesting. (Haven't read the spoilers, so this still keeps me guessing). Anyway, I'm having fun watching, but only to see who's fooling whom. "Finally saw Friday's ep" Now that I have seen the ep I was disappointed too with how they handled Eddie leaving. I guess they were upset that he left and didn't want to give him anymore air time. These shows do hate when their little pawns don't follow the rules and decide to leave without being asked. They had to show Eddie last week because his actions led to Ryan being booted. But I'm sure the show was not happy he left. Although it did give them the opportunity to trick everyone with only one boot on Friday. Still I think the viewers would have liked an update on Eddie and what he has to say now. I wonder if Jackie showed up for this show looking for love and once she found out the twist changed her actions. She seems much more interested in weeding out the gay guys than finding the right man for herself. So it seems more about the money to her now.
