I just wanted to start a thresd where we could discuss this episode. What were your thoughts? What caught your eye? Has your mind changed about someone? If so, why?

The one thing I will include here is that I am very confused on why they didn't show us more about the Eddie thing. I thought they did a terrible job in telling that story!

I'm with you on the Eddie thing. I can only guess that Eddie felt he blew his cover after the hot tub fiasco with Ryan, but who knows. I wish we could at least have seen a closet confessional with Eddie explaining why he left.

I think Banks is straight but I've ever met a man that admitted he shaved his legs. What's up with that? At least lie and say you're a swimmer or something.

My favorite line was Bill about Lee: "The guy's so boring he couldn't possibly be gay".

I want someone to ask Banks why he shaves his legs? I know swimmers and boxers do...is he one of the two? If he shaves his legs because he doesn't like having hairy legs...sorry...that doesn't look "straight like"!

He did say that, I was just curious as to his reasons for shaving. Is he like Will from Big Bother (and no..that isn't a typo, sometimes that show is just a big bother to watch!). I dunno what his reasons are and would like some insight!

I saw on the show's website that he is a triathalon participant....that would make sense why he shaves...I hope that is the case.

I thought it was interesting how Sharif flat out said that he wasn't interested in Jackie, and he's just there for the money and exposure.

It doesn't necessarily make me think he's gay, I just thought it was strange. While I know that is the motive for 95% of contestants on these shows, I've never heard someone flat-out admit it.

Also interesting that Jackie has resorted to asking the guys in the house who they think is gay.

Bradley... oops. No way really to recover from that. Sorry dood.

I also wanted more info on why Eddie left. Obviously she liked him enough to keep him over Ryan, so...?

I agree with you about Sharif! That was great that he was very open and honest about it. Just come out and say it! You go boy!

I think that Eddie was really embarassed by his actions in the hot tub. Ryan knew what he was doing by getting into the tub and Eddie really played into his hands. But, I still would have liked to have seen the story play out!

I thought Sharif was honest too, but why would he think he should be in love with someone after just a week or two? Who falls in love that fast with soemone they're not even dating? I think he's gay!

Ooh, I agree with you about Sharif's singing (and playing). He was horrible.

Unless Luciano makes some huge mistake in the coming weeks, he may very well win it.

Being more than a passing fan of body hair (crazed obsession is more like it), and thinking Banks was the sexiest one there; to find out he shaves his legs is more than this Sagebrush can bear. Maybe that's why Eddie quit. I'd pay Banks a half mil just to have him grow his hair back.

Well, now off to fantasize about Lee (not hairy, but still sexy).

I wish they could have elaborated on the whole Eddie situation. Maybe a last closet confessional.... Also, I agree with the Banks issues. In a competition like this he should have had a good cover (swimmer etc...) OR maybe he is just like Will on Big Brother who didn't like the body hair and who I believe won the money also.

I also thought of Will from BB when they were talking about shaving body hair. I think I am too old to understand why a man would shave all of his body hair. It seems extremely obsessive to me!

As a girl who is not too fond of the body hair... I think its great that Banks shaves it off! Who knows, maybe he grows and extraordinary amount of hair on his body and the only way he can tame it is to shave it all off! Maybe he's like a sasquatch or something.

In my younger days, I was a serious swimmer. Having been surrounded by other very serious swimmers during my life, I don't find it at all unusual for a straight gay to shave his body hair.

I think Banks is straight.

Jackie is beginning to annoy me, especially during the eliminations. She's always like twisting and contorting her face, and then when she tells the guys she wants them to stay, she laughs like a friggin maniac! I think she is really cute and sweet, but she's starting to really get on my nerves!

Another thing I just thought of: After Brad slipped up by saying "million" instead of "half a million", he was talking to Chris about it, and the two of them were sort of making fun of the the things Jackie says during the eliminations. They were saying something like, "You know, Brad, I really liked you, but when you mentioned the million, it just made me question..."

So, my question: I think most of us are fairly sure that Bradley is gay, but do you think the guys' behavior in this scene sheds any light on Chris?


(I also believe one of the other guys had mentioned that Brad and Chris have been spending a lot of time together...) What do you think? Chris=Gay?

Beyound the novelty fo trying to figure who's gay or not, this show has nothing going on. I don't think Jackie should be allowed the grill the guys during her swing dates about who they think are gay. Why doesn't she ever ask the guys any personal questions? With all the booze I'm sure there would be some slip ups.

I was thinking the exact same thing. This show is not about Jackie finding romance. It is only about figuring out who is gay or straight. I don't know whom Jackie thinks she is kidding, but Jackie is just there for the money also. If she were interested in the guys she would be spending her time finding out about the guy she is with. I thought it was disgusting that she spent her swing date time asking the guy she was with about other guys.

Lemme start by saying...HAPPY 500 DAN! Tribe, they do grow up quickly!

About Jackie and the swing dates...I think it is a great strategy of Jackie to ask what the other guys think. At this point in the game, the gay guys have more than likely found the gaydar in the family members. So, it would help to get all guys opinions of each other. Now, she would have to figure out who is lying and who isn't which is the premise of the show!

Look, I don't think for one minute that any of these peeps are really there looking for true love...even Jackie. Jackie may be more interested in getting to know these guys and find someone to get to know better and may be even date...However, I don't think true love is in sight of anyone.

Just my thoughts on the show:

I was so glad Ryan wasn't there last night-- couldn't have watched his antics for another episode. All *that* tension just dissolved.

Have you guys discussed already how much Jackie looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt? Esp. at eliminations with all of the cheezy grins and facial expressions.

My DH thinks they intentionally chose someone "dumb" so the show would be more likely to keep its money. Now Jackie's not a flaming idiot, but the fact that it took her several days to figure out she had to actually play the game (duh!) is a bit telling.

She reminds me of a lot of my young sorority students--pretty but bland (no offense to anyone here I hope-- I just see a lot of sorority girls before they've matured into women). This blandness may just be the odd circumstances she's in, but there is NO connection between any Jackie and any of the guys. I completely agree that nobody's in it for love. On the Bachelor/ette by now, everybody would be confessing undying love and crying when eliminated!

I can't figure out if Bill calling all the guys he thinks are straight "boring" indicates that he's a gay guy who knows gay guys are interesting or that he's a straight guy who knows gay guys are interesting. (Haven't read the spoilers, so this still keeps me guessing).

Anyway, I'm having fun watching, but only to see who's fooling whom. Nobody's personality seems particularly likeable, but I'm sure that's because all ANYONE talks about is who's gay!

I completely understand.
The little sister lives within all of us. I've been out for years and have never been one to be accused of Nelliness. However, good friends, great conversation and a little tipple, brings out my alter ego.

I didn't know Big Heath and/or Little Heath was on last night and I missed it!

Speaking of pillaging and plundering..did you guys catch my post over on OT lastnight about the cannibals? It is really really sad!

Back to PIS! I am excited to see what happens once they go to Vegas. From the previews...I can't tell if they are in a strip club or they just filmed in a strip club (for the footage). I think things could get interesting if they do go!

aarrrgggghhhhh, I went out last night and forgot to tape it!!!!. The good news is, I went to a casino and won some $$. . But who's gone??? Has she gotten rid of more straight guys?? Has it been confirmed that Eddie is gay??? Who's writing the summary for this one?

Hi Rockytop Chick! I remember you from another board. Maybe Joe Millionaire?

She got rid of Chad, who is gay. Eddie left on his own, at the beginning of the show, because of what happened with Ryan last week, but with no real closure to his story- they just gathered everyone together at the beginning and said "Eddie's gone". He was indeed gay.

I believe GuessitRains is writing this week's summary (I'll have to double check).

Thanks, Tiger Lily. Possibly from the Joe Millionaire board, more likely from Bachelor(ette) or Average Joe, if you read/post on one of those. So 2 gay guys left this week? Maybe she's finally catching on??

btw, I agree with what was said earlier. No one in this thing is here to find love. You throw a pot of money into one of these shows and the DAWs forget about everything else. Well, except for maybe their 15 minutes.

Now that I have seen the ep I was disappointed too with how they handled Eddie leaving. I guess they were upset that he left and didn't want to give him anymore air time. These shows do hate when their little pawns don't follow the rules and decide to leave without being asked. They had to show Eddie last week because his actions led to Ryan being booted. But I'm sure the show was not happy he left. Although it did give them the opportunity to trick everyone with only one boot on Friday. Still I think the viewers would have liked an update on Eddie and what he has to say now.

I wonder if Jackie showed up for this show looking for love and once she found out the twist changed her actions. She seems much more interested in weeding out the gay guys than finding the right man for herself. So it seems more about the money to her now. She doesn't want to lose her half million.
