PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

I saw that, could it be hip hop? Igor the ballroomer was cut then, did they ever have a special segment on hip hop?http://www.sytycdism.com/2009/05/sytycd5-top-20-spoilers.html also Silky the tap dancer was cut!! Grrrrrr They have 5 of top 20 on their list Boys: 1. Brandon Bryant (contemporary) - anon said so YEAH! 2. Pono Aweau (contemporary hip hop funk) - from Mark Kanemura's studio in Hawaii, leaked from member of studio I Still want to know what Glowie thinks!!
Girls: 1. Caitlin Kinney (contemporary) I think byo loves her 2. Janette Manrara (ballroom) ? 3. Jeanine Mason (contemporary) ?
Also some of the Season 5 cuts were seen at Boston auditions for S6 After Boston they went to Atlanta...and Fox 5 in Atlanta didn't even know SYTYCD was on on Weds on own station!

I thought I read somewhere that Shane was supposed to choreo top 20 ugh, Phillip got Nappy tabs, they have 2, maybe shane had other commitments. I'm not a big fan of lyrical hip hop I like the harder stuff, esp for PhillipJonathan & Karla - Cha-Cha - Tony Meredith Hmm I think I may like this pair Tony & Paris - Hip-Hop - Napoleon & Tabitha Ugh, I don't like Paris...Tony and Kayla would have been cuter Jason & Caitlin - Bollywood - (to Jai Ho) hmmm this is an interesting pair, she seems so much older than him... Kupono & Ashley - Jazz - Wade Robson another we'll see couple Ade & Melissa - Contemporary - Mandy Moore ditto Maks & Kayla - Samba - Louis Van Amstel ditto Poppin' with tribey

I find Vituka very interesting and do hope they both move on from this weekfrom what the spoilers say Tony who has lesser talent and didn't do all that great this week is a huge tweener girl fave...that should keep him safe even from b3...and the judges may want to keep going out on a limb for him if he gets there just to keep that fan base really happy I think Adissa maybe in trouble bc she is older and he has been hidden Poppin' with tribey

LAST EDITED ON 06-11-09 AT 05:14 PM (EST)I found a dialidol result for SYTYCD here. It doesn't give much of anything except that Jason & Cailtin got some busies. BuddyTV (can't find the link anymore) was suggesting Ade, Paris and Tony but I don't know if that poll is strictly after people saw the performances or not. TWoP by and large agreed with us for the bottom 3. http://www.sytycd.ca/ Here they have Tony and Paris by a landslide. By contrast, I've read that the tweens are organizing to save Tony and that Asuka is an ealy favourite amongst those who fill out favourites surveys. Do you think they really have cannon fodder couples? Couples that really shouldn't be on the show but they are there so they can be sent home in the first week so that the rest of the couples can last longer? For example, Natalie gets cut so she can be on next year's show instead? I totally think that happened in Britain's Got Talent. And would those cannon fodder couples be some that got no face time whatsoever in the early episodes? Lika Karla & Johnathan, Melissa & Ade, etc.

49. "RE: Mary on Twitter" |
I must have misread that. I thought that she was saying that the two couples in the bottom three *last week* were the biggest highlights of the Top 18 performance show. But Nigel's tweet here is more revealing: Thank you for your positive thoughts. My surgery is tomorrow, my pain is tonight! All this weeks bottom three couples are brilliant dancers. I guess this means Johnathan is safe? lol. Dial idol here: http://slimtainment.com/idolblog/?p=3140 suggests that the safest are: Karlathan Phinine vituka and Brandette the other 5 aren't but I'd like to see what Snidge has found.

I think I misread Mary's tweet too. So Vitolio is probably in the bottom 3 since he was a highlight for her.

My own comments based on what I've read so far.Jeanine and Philip seem to be getting a rough ride to the top 10. Maybe they are trying to gauge just how strong a fan base Philip has? This is the third week in a row that Jason/Caitlin get a tough routine out of their comfort zone whereas Melissa/Ade (contemporary, jazz, rumba (a slower Latin dance) and Randi/Evan (jazz, jive and contemporary) have been given somewhat similar styles and/or styles that were suited to them. Jeanette/Brandon also haven't really got anything in their zone but they seem to be doing considerably better at this then Philine and Jalin. Kayla/Kupono get an interesting week with a (barefoot) Viennese Waltz. I don't know how well that will translate to votes but Asuka/Vitolio did fine with their waltz.

thanks for the comments from April and youIt appears hh is taking a beating this year and Karlathan may not be long for the show and/or Vituka. They'll probably be the next 4 to go, sorry Belle Book. The interesting cut will be T12 to T10...although the T11/12 usually go on tour too with a lesser presence It seems Revan and Adissa are TCOs and they are "testing" just how strong Phillip's fan base is. But unless he really messes up, I don't think Phillip will go before top 10 bc they need his dance style for tour. Poppin' with tribey

Cool beans, this would be great if they can work things out. It would be alot better than that American Idol mess-of-a-show that I didn't like the first time it aired and now they are showing it again. RIP MJ!!

*Evan & Randi - Broadway - Joey Dowling Looks like a slam dunk performance for these two. And strangely, just the start of where things seem a little too "planned out". Evan - Broadway? *Phillip & Jeanine - Hip Hop - Nappy Tabs Huh? Week 3 and already another HipHop for these two? Wow, Terpsichore surely smiles upon Phillip.
*Vitolio & Karla - Quickstep Uh-Oh, multiple bottom3ers with a notoriously unforgiving dance style? Looks like yet another B3 for these 2.
*Kupono & Kayla - Contemporary - Sonya Tayeh Hmmm...didn't the judges just make a comment about Kupono being their token weirdo for this season? Suddenly he gets a Sonya dance? I smell something funny and it isn't Mia's eau de twirlette.
*Brandon & Janette - Something Latin Perhaps Janette can be strong enough for the both of them this time. Although, Brandon suprised me with his waltz. However, something latin sounds too similar to Argentine Tango. And we all know what Argentine Tango means in Spanish. Yup, Bottom 3.
*Ade & Melissa - Pas de Deux / Ballet What?! Okay, really? No one else has received Ballet and when it finally does first come up, Melissa gets it!? Really? The one and only trained Ballerina on the cast? Getting the (one and only) Ballet routine? Wow. Just, wow.
Add into the mix a strangely missing from this list of couples "Jason and Caitlin", the promise of a big suprise by that strange little dancing tweeter and the Paula Abdul choreographed tribute to Michael Jackson it's surely shaping up to be more spectacle than competition this week.

Brandon Jeannette - Cha Cha by Jean Marc Said Mia loved him, and that it was amazing. Kayla Kupono - Jazz by Sonya Vampire theme, judges loved it. Evan Randi - Broadway Judges were dissapointed in Evan, ouch. Jason Caitlin - Pop Jazz by Brian Friedman Caitlin is an alien trying to impregnate the last human; Mary thought it was “wtf”. Phillip Jeanine - Hip Hop by Nap/Tab Song was love lockdown and they were chained at the ankles, said it was awesome. Mellisa Ade - Pas De Duex To Romeo & Juliet…I’m thinking she meant the Two Households monologue that they used on SYTYCDAU but Im not sure. Karla Vitolio - Quickstep by Jean Marc Said Karla did a quick change in the middle (that’s a magic trick where they change clothes really fast) and said that it was entertaining. http://idolforums.com/index.php?s=06143705b74de001e5443f4a2d44d0d8&showtopic=604461 more detailed http://idolforums.com/index.php?showtopic=604461&st=3480 From April Marie TWoP
OK everyone, I'm back! It was such a great show, and I'm actually OK with them rigging the dances because it made for a very well-danced show. I'm going to post some quick comments about the dances first & then come back with the more detailed spoilers. I also have some more music selections to add to what IDF has. During the "Judges Chat" at the top of the show with Cat, Cat asked Mia if she had changed her opinion on any dancers. Mia said, "Well that's a loaded question!" & then Nigel said "Who writes these questions?" As soon as Cat asked the question, the whole studio fell silent, which Mia noted. Mia said that yes, her opinion had changed about a dancer, for the better & then she was all, "and that's all I'm going to say about that". Nigel then said, "is it a male dancer?" Mia: "Yeeeessss" Nigel: "Does he have the initials Brandon..." At that the whole studio, including Cat, choreographers, & judges, cracked up. After the laughter died down, she said that yes it was Brandon. (BTW, the judges were on fire tonight, so freaking hilarious from the beginning of the show. I think it had to do with the fact that the 3 of them were in Phoenix this past weekend for S6 auditions so they had all sent a lot of time together.) Brandon & Janette: Cha-cha-cha by Jean-Marc & France done to "Hush Hush" by the Pussycat Dolls. It was really great; both Brandon & Janette did a fantastic job. All of the judges loved it. While Mia was giving her critique, Brandon started to cry. Mia basically said that the reason she was so hard on him was that she sees amazing talent & potential in him & wants to make him a better dancer (or something like that). Pono & Kayla: Jazz by Sonya. It was a vampire theme. They totally KILLED it!! It was soooooo good. Sonya was jumping up & down in her seat & then on her feet for them. The judges LOVED it; Mary put/kept them on the hot tamale train. Evan/Randi: Broadway by Joey Dowling. Very Fosse-esque/inspired. A lot of similar movements as Liza Minelli in that "Blackbird" song (if you know which song I'm talking about). Definitely better than what Tyce would have choreo'd. The judges thought Randi was good in it, but they were a little disappointed in Evan- they thought he would do better. It was a great dance, but I wouldn't say it was one of my favorites or one of my top dances of the night. Jason/Caitlin: Pop Jazz by BFree done to Santogold's "Creator". This was a weird concept: Caitlin was an alien who had just blown up Earth & had come to find the last man on Earth (Jason) in order to pro-create. Caitlin was in a weird-##### costume, all black leather spandex body suit with silver accents. I thought it was a good routine. Nigel & Mia really liked it, but Mary was like "WTF?"- she didn't really get the dance. I have a feeling there may be quite a few voters out there who won't get it either. I don't think any of the judges really liked Caitlin's costume (not that that's her fault). Mia kind of dogged Brian (I thought) by saying that she thought that Brian didn't go into it with the thought of creating the best dance of his career, but rather creating a fun dance. Phillip/Jeanine: Hip Hop by NappyTabs done to Kanye's "Love Lockdown". It was a hard-hitting dance. P/J were connected to each other for the whole routine by a chain that was attached to their ankles. This made the dance that much more difficult. They did a great job & I thought Jeanine held her own against Phillip. The judges all loved it. Ade/Melissa: Pas de Deux by some new choreographer, Thordel something. It was from Romeo & Juliet, where they first secretly meet, and Melissa performed en pointe, the first time it's been done on the show. This dance was absolutely beautiful; I got chills watching it. Melissa was wonderful (no surprise) & Ade was great too. There were some fabulous lifts. Like I said, just a beautiful dance. The judges all LOVED it. The only negative thing that was said was that Mia said that it was clear that Ade hadn't had classical training (she may have prefaced it with a lot of or very much) because his carriage wasn't totally perfect, but she was just nit-picking since they were amazing. Vitolio/Karla: Quickstep by Jean-Marc & France to "Puttin' on the Ritz". I thought it was going to be a disaster, but it was actually very good. I'd say the best QS ever done on SYTYCD. The choreo & idea was way better than anything the other choreographers have done, and V/K pulled it off very well. The idea behind it was that they were in a museum, after closing, & Vitolio was a statue & he came to life. There was a really cool trick done in the middle of the dance; I didn't want to spoil you guys b/c it was awesome, but it looks like someone on IDF already did. The dance ends with Karla becoming the statue with a snap of Vitolio's fingers. The judges loved the dance. Mia pretty much said that Jean-Marc "made them" (as in choreographers can either make you or break you). I think it's going to be hard to figure out who should be in the bottom b/c it was a great show. even more detailed http://idolforums.com/index.php?showtopic=604461&st=3540
OK, here are the more detailed spoilers. Cat was looking lovely as usual in a hot pink strapless, short dress with a wide black, rhinestone-studded belt. Random audience sighting: Scott Bakula. And Jonathan & Ariel Coker (sp?) were also in the audience. Oh, & it was Karla's birthday, so we all sang Happy Birthday to her after the show was over. The intro packages were pretty much a review of the dancers' season so far: what were the highs & lows for you? Brandon & Janette: He was in a white sleeveless top & black pants, she was in a hot pink, sparkly dress with a lot of skin showing. I thought that this was a great way to open the show. Brandon & Janette did a fabulous job. It started off a little slow (as in the music & therefore choreo was slow, not it took a while for them to get into it), but then after a few 8 counts, it picked up to a normal cha-cha speed. It looked to me like there was quite a bit of actual cha-cha in it, but I'll leave that judgement up to our ballroom/latin experts. Their footwork was good, the lines were great & there were some really cool tricks & lifts. They did that one move where he stands behind her & spins her around & around with his finger (I forgot what that's called). The audience really got into the dance. The judges all loved it; they thought (not necessarily expected) Janette would be good in it, but were pleasantly surprised at how well Brandon danced it. Nigel said that Brandon had really good feet; he said that sometimes Mary comments that dancers need to paint the floor with their feet in the cha-cha, their feet need to be paintbrushes and that Brandon did that. He said that Brandon was Michaelangelo on the dance floor. Mary made some comments about the technique & steps of the cha-cha & how they did them well, but I can't remember what they were. She also put them on the hot tamale train. B/J went crazy at that, jumping all around. Mia pretty much said that she thought they did a great job & explained why she was so hard on Brandon in Vegas. I thought the judges kind of ignored Janette in their critiques. I thought the judges comments were all deserved, although maybe a little OTT. This was one of the better dances of the night IMO; I really liked it a lot. Kupono & Kayla: In the intro piece, Sonya said that they were going very dark in the routine. I missed a little bit of the explanation, but I think Pono is supposed to be a vampire trying to bring Kayla over to his side, & Kayla is "turning away from death". So the dance is kind of a struggle between them. I really don't remember their costumes very well. Kayla's wearing a lot of black & white. Her costume looks like what ballet dancers wear- a leotard/bodice & tutu, but the tutu is longer in back than in front & is black & white tulle. I think the bodice may have been black. Pono is in tan (I think) pants and a white short-sleeved shirt that looks like the sleeves have been rolled up to right under his deltoids. He has on something over the shirt too, a vest maybe? I don't remember too much about the details of the dance, except that it was very good. I was expecting that, & for them to have excellent technique, and they both did. There were some great lifts and some gorgeous pictures made. If you liked The Garden, you'll probably like this one. Sonya was so awesome during their dance; she kept bouncing around in her seat, saying "Yes, yes" everytime they got something right/did something she loved, & was pumping her arm in the air. At the end, she jumped out of her seat with her arms in the air; she clearly loved how they performed the dance, and didn't think there were any mistakes. The judges thought so too; they had nothing but praise for the pair of them (that I remember). Mary thought that Pono really came into his own in this dance. She said that they had great chemistry together, even when they were dancing on the opposite side of the stage from each other. Put them on the hot tamale train again (or just kept them on). Mia noted that Pono has taken every note he's been given since his audition & done it. She loved the choreo, costumes, make-up & said that this was the best dance Sonya has choreo'd. Mia thought that they did a fantastic job with this dance. I loved this dance so much. Sonya is amazing & I think she brings out the best in her dancers. It was one of my favorites of the night & I really hope they don't end up in the bottom- they don't deserve to. Evan & Randi: In the intro package, Joey Dowling said that it was supposed to be a very powerful dance; they were supposed to be fighting/battling. Both were pretty much in all black. Evan had on a suit & was wearing leather gloves. Randi looked very flapper-like, with fishnets, short fringe on/for the skirt. She had something on her hands too, almost like fingerless gloves. There was a table & 2 chairs on the stage. Like I said earlier, it's very Fosse-esque. You can see just about every famous Fosse step in the dance. Evan started the dance with a slo-mo cartwheel/planche over the table. I thought that they both did a good job of remaining in character. I was expecting a lot from Evan, but my eye kept going to Randi for some reason. I'm not saying that Evan was bad, I just wasn't as wowed by him as I was expecting to be. Maybe I'll fell different on re-watch. The judges liked the dance, but they thought it could have been better. Nigel said that he thought Evan would be "up here" - complete with hand placed at a certain height - but that he was actually "down here"-hand just a tad lower than it was before. I kind of forgot what Mary said. Mia said that she thought they danced heavy. She told them that because of their lack of height, they needed to make their movements/lines longer. Basically, Mia thought that some aspects of the dance just didn't quite make it "right there". I'm not explaining it very well, but I understood what she meant as she was saying it. It's like if they had just taken it to the nex step, given it a little more "oomph" it would have been better. Mia also told Randi, that she needs to bring a different character to each dance. She thought that Randi's character this time was too much like last week's. The judge's critiques weren't horrible, but they weren't like some of the others either. Overall, I thought it was a very good routine, & I enjoyed it so much more than most of Tyce's stuff. It wasn't my favorite though. Jason & Caitlin: I already explained the concept. Caitlin's body suit also had a hood attached so all of her head was covered except her face, and she had on black gloves too. The top of her head had these silver spiky things attached, as did the gloves. Jason was costumed in light colors (white or tan). He had on ripped, ratty pants and a sleeveless, open shirt; pretty much the closest thing you can get to being shirtless, without actually being shirtless. This dance was very BFree; if you like his stuff, you'll probably like it, if you don't, you probably won't like the dance. I absolutely love the song Brian used, and I thought he did a good job choreographing to the music. The concept was pretty weird, but I thought that Jason & Caitlin pulled it off. I wasn't close enough to see their faces, so I'll have to see if they did a good job with that. Both of them had really good technique and did a really good job with the dance. I was watching Brian with this dance too, & he was acting like he really liked it & thought that J/C did a great job. He's not quite as animated as Sonya, but he would say "yes" a few times when they did certain difficult parts of the dance. I don't remember too much of the specifics of the judges comments. They all pretty much thought it was a weird concept. I know that Nigel liked it and Mary didn't quite get it. Mia liked it too and though it was fun. I don't remember there being any negative comments, but I could be wrong. I have to preface my comments with the fact that I love Brian's work & I really liked Kayla & Max's routine. That being said, I didn't like this one as much. It may have been the costuming, or trying to figure out how the dancers were interpreting Brian's "story", but I felt like something was detracting from the actual dance part of the routine. I'm going to have to re-watch this one to get a better feel for the dance. I think that Jason & Caitlin could end up being in the bottom. It wasn't a horrible/bad dance, I just don't know if people will vote for it. Phillip & Jeanine: There wasn't too much of a story behind this dance, other than them being chained together for the whole dance. I don't really remember their costumes at all, other than they were both wearing jeans. Phillip might have been wearing a hat. I initially thought that this dance was going to look/be awkward because of the chain, but it really wasn't. They did a really good job working with the chain & incorporating it into the dance. Of course, they could only dance about 4 ft apart or so. They would use the chain to pull each other. Any of the turning around/turns they did had to be exactly as choreo'd or they would wind up tangled up. Phillip's signature move was of course in the dance. At the end of the dance, Phillip offers Jeanine a key to get out of the chain, but she doesn't take it. NappyTabs loved them in this routine, & so did the judges. Nigel said that Jeanine held her own against Phillip. I don't really remember any other judges comments except that they were all good (I'm sorry). I thought that they did a great job in this dance, but once again, I was more impressed with Jeanine, since I know that Phillip can (only?) do HH. I hope next week they get a contemporary so Jeanine can finally show off her skills & to see if Phillip is good at something else. All of the dances were so good, so there's not really a wide gap between them, but I'd say this was one of the middle of the pack dances for me. That's just my preferences & favoritism kicking in. Other people are going to think this dance was one of the best of the night. Ade & Melissa: The "story" behind this dance is not too complicated- it's when Romeo & Juliet meet for the first time secretly. Ade is shirtless & wearing white pants. Melissa is in a pale pink nightgown-looking dress. I know I already said this, but it was such a beautiful dance. I love classical ballet pieces & I'm so glad that they did this one; R&J is one of my favorite ballets. I was expecting them to be great & they didn't disappoint. Fabulous technique, graceful, beautiful lines, control & power, and some great lifts. Ade really makes the lifts look effortless. Melissa of course has been practicing all her life for a dance like this, but Ade was wonderful too. Mia said that he lacked a tiny bit on his carriage, but I honestly didn't see it. I was too caught up in the dance. All the judges went ga-ga over Melissa/Ade & the dance. They praised the technique, the lines, the lifts, pretty much everything. Mia only had that one critique, but she conceded she was nit-picking. As you can tell, this was one of my favorite dances of the night. I really hope they aren't in the bottom 3 this week; I don't think they deserve to be. Vitolio & Karla: I've already described the story behind the routine. Vitloio was in a tuxedo (I think) & had a top hat & a cane. Karla was in a black dress with big white polka dots on it. The feel of this dance was very 40s I thought. Vitolio starts off on a box behind a rope (the kind they use to rope off entrances to clubs & other exclusive places)- he's a statue remember. He comes to life & starts dancing & gets Karla to dance. They have that trick, and then they go into traditional quickstep work. I thought that there was quite a bit of QS in the dance. There were some cool lifts and both V & K have such beautiful lines. The dance ends with Vitloio putting Karla up on the box & snapping his fingers to make her a statue. Nigel started off the comments by saying wouldn't it be great if you could actually make a woman be quiet by snapping your fingers. He snaps his fingers & Mary freezes. Mia then claps her hands twice, "awakening" Mary, and Nigel snaps his fingers again. They repeat this a few more times. When he actually gets down to critiquing them, he says that it's the best QS that's ever been done on the show. He thought they did a great job. Mary thought they did a great job too, and mentioned a few of the steps that they did right. And then Mia gave her comment about Jean-Marc "making" them. Like I said before, I thought that this was a great QS (& this was before the judges even started commenting). I couldn't see their feet all the way through the dance, so they might have had some issues there; I'll have to check when I re-watch it. Even though it was a great dance, I think Vitolio & Karla will be in the bottom 3. All in all, it was a really great night for dancing. The routines are all really close together in terms of technique, execution, performance, etc so it's hard for me to rank them. I can only go by my personal preferences & use my biases to choose the best & "worst". I would totally understand if people had a completely different opinion than mine. Kupono/Kayla & Ade/Melissa Brandon/Janette Vitolio/Karla & Phillip/Jeanine Evan/Randi & Jason/Caitlin -------------------- Poppin' with tribey

Staying away from the spoiler threads from now on. I read this post and think maybe it took away a little from my enjoyment of the performance. Which is weird because I love AI spoilers but not SYTYCD.

I agree Tummy. It's like when you go to see a movie that everyone raved about and you're disappointed that it didn't live up to its hype. It was a great show, but I was still disappointed. And perversely, I liked Caitlin and Jason's routine I think because I was prepared for it to be weird! Spotlighted by Tribe

I posted the who has done what in an analysis thread.Looking at that I figured out what I think the hat should give them, so thought I'd put that here to compare with what the hat does give them. Janette and Brandon Should get a Contemporary routine and some World Dance style Kayla and Kupono. Hip Hop so she has to do one of those and a Broadway Randi and Evan. A Ballroom and a Hip Hop routine. Caitlin and Jason both need a Contemporary and Ballroom to balance it out. Jeanine and Phillip Contemporary so we see her in her style and something Latin Melissa and Ade. They also need a Hip Hop routine and Latin dance.

Looking at the couples based on styles they've already done and assuming they want to even things up rather than just give people what they are good at.Janette and Evan. Lowest two overall styles are the "other non couple" so they could do a Broadway as Janette hasn't done that and Evan didn't do that well last time so it could be a will he redeem himself or not. Not sure if they'd do another world style type of thing so soon after last week. They are also low on Hip Hop. Kayla and Ade. Neither one has done Hip Hop so they are due (leaving Melissa as the last to do that style) Also low on the Broadway/Other category but I could see them doing more of a couple dance, both have cone one ballroom and one latin so that doesn't say much about what else they need to show versatility. Jeanine and Jason. THey are pretty even overall for styles, but she hasn't done a Contemporary/Jazz piece so they are due for that. They'd probably get another one of the couple dances as there usually is at least one latin and ballroom per week. Randi and Kupono Low on Other and Hip Hop but pretty well balanced so probably get whatever balances out what other people need. Of the Couple Dances they need to do some ballroom so I'd guess that is likely. Melissa and Brandon. Low in both Hip Hop and other, but overall have done a lot of couple dances so should get contemporary/jazz and a Hip Hop. SoYouThinkYouCanTribe!

from sytycdism.comGeneral spoilers: - Travis Wall is choreographing this week. - One dance per couple this week - Two group dances this week: African for boys, Bollywood for girls - Nappy Tabs have another hip hop this week. Got a tip that Kayla was with Evan, and that they paired the 2 tallest girls with the 2 shortest boys, so here's my updated list. (I no longer claim these to be 100%. I'm pretty sure the last three are for sure. Randi and Kupono are definitely confirmed among a few sources.) Kayla (tall) and Evan (short) Janette and Ade Jeanine and Jason Melissa (tall) and Brandon (short) Randi and Kupono - Paso Doble

Here are my comments:Janette & Ade: they should be fine -- unless Janette can't do a decent hip-hop. Still, they should be safe this week. Jeanine & Jason: Theoretically, Jeanine & Jason should be fine with this dance -- it's in their ballpark. And I think Jeanine will still be safe. Jason's another story -- he's been in the Bottom 3 three times. I think he might be there again. I really hope Melissa & Brandon do well with Broadway. They should, but Brandon's short and Melissa's tall. Height might be a problem. Still, I think they'll be safe. Kayla & Evan: Evan's popular enough that I think he'll be safe this week. Kayla's another story. I think she's doomed. The audience doesn't connect to her and her solos haven't been that great. See ya in the Bottom 3, Kayla. Randi & Kupono: Randi's been carried by Evan. I just wonder if people will connect to her in her solo and Paso Doble. She might be in the Bottom 3 this time but I think she'll still be safe. But Kupono -- see ya later.

I was thinking this morning about how Shane Sparks has not returned after his two routines were not well received, so I'm glad to see him back.

LAST EDITED ON 07-22-09 AT 02:40 PM (EST)LAST EDITED ON 07-21-09 AT 11:37 PM (EST) From IDF... Poster "Allie" went to taping and was sending in updates to another poster. So these are her opinions calling them as she sees them.... Trav's group routine was futuristic and it was to "Let it Rock". Nigel said no one stood out and they thought it was really good. They loved Travis again and Mia praised it but called it a bit competitiony and also called it a fun contemporary number. Not in order Brandon and Jeanine - Waltz The judges thought that it was the slowest piece of waltz choreo the show has had and it seemed really hard but they were fine in it but that they expected better as far as lines go cause they are contemporary dancers. They basically thought they weren't too great but it had to do with the fact that the choreo was hard. However, Allz thought Jeanine was stunning. And the costumes reminded her of Dom and Jaimie. Brandon and Jeanine - Pop Jazz by Laurie Ann The crowd went wild and the judges loved it. It was to Battlefield, btw. Mia was worried about them but she said that tonight they did it how Laurie would. She was saying how with laurie ann everything she does comes from the soul so she expected them to dance like that and the routine was amazing. She called Brandon a powerhouse and said Jeanine was good for sticking with it but Allie thought she didn't give Jeanine enough credit. Janette and Evan - Rumba (Falling Slowly Heartless - Kris Allen) They all loved Janette but Nigel was on Evan's arse the whole night. So in other words, yes the bus is coming it looks like. He was very rude says Allz. Ellen was saying that she loves Evan cause he is different and people in this city all look the same. (Lol I love Ellen) Mia also said she liked Evan and stuck up for him. Janette and Evan - Jazz The judges again loved Janette. One of them said Evan could never be the creepy character that Sonya's piece required because of his face. Mia said that she feels like he's been at the same level. Jason and Kayla - Broadway Allz thinks it was one of the better broadways as far as choreography goes. The judges also really liked it. Mia said that Jason needs to work on his upper body and Kayla could go on broadway. She asked her if she acts and sings because she should. Nigel said that Jason had wonderful feet and that he reminded him of Gene Kelly in parts of it. Jason and Kayla - Hip Hop Nigel said it was the best from Shane and one of the best hip hops this season cause he's been disappointed from hip hop this season. Mia also liked it and thought Jason did well. Melissa and Ade - Cha Cha This one must have been really bad... Allie hated it. And the judges didn't think it was great either. Melissa and Ade - contemporary Was to "Woman's Work" and had everyone crying - really hit home with Ellen. Something about breast cancer. Mia really broke down b/c of her dad's battle with cancer - reallllly emotional Solos.... Brandon performed to "Aint nothing wrong with that". Jeanine used "Let the Drummer Kick". Evan did his usual broadway solo and dropped his hat but made a clean recovery. Ade's solo was a lot like the "window sweeper" one. Jason was back to his normal style. Janette did Ballroom-Contemporary fusion for hers and it was very good. Kayla's solo was more controlled and slower. Melissa's solo was dumb and freaky styled.

Brought over from IDF....Spoilers from Sucks. Thanks to loveski. Judges are Lil C (ugh), Nigel and Mary. Two group dances by Sonya, solos, and 2 paired dances per person Men's dance - Willy Wonka theme; well danced but not special (all were decent but Ade less so, according to the source) Samba for Ade and Jeanine - Jeanine got rave reviews (Nigel was slightly gross), Ade not as much; Lady Gaga music Broadway for Melissa and Evan - Tailor made for Evan; wedding theme; source and judges liked it okay (source preferred Melissa) ontemporary for Brandon and Kayla - abused woman theme (she wants to end the relationship); judges liked it; mostly Kayla was highlighted and did well; source said one of the best three performances of the night Hip-hop for Ade and Jeanine - eviction theme; awesome routine; Ade proved himself here for the source; Lil C loved the dirtiness; rave reviews; one of the best three of the night Quickstep for Melissa and Evan - started strong and lost some of it in the middle; Melissa was better in expression but couldn't hold form; only Lil C really liked it Disco for Brandon and Kayla - awesome routine; really difficult and energetic; one point they looked exhausted but got it together; rave reviews; probably best of the night according to the source All women dance by Sonya - same as males; nothing special and all were good Solos: boring except for two; Kayla was great and Brandon got a standing O from Nigel and Mary, and deserved it according to the source; source doesn't even like him and thought it was amazing So according to this person, things to looks out for are the contemporary, hip hop and disco + two solos

Sonya did the Top 3 guys group routine it was Willy Wonka inspired. She also did the Top 3 girls group routine and it was superhero inspired, Jeanine was Wonder Woman and she was freaking awesome and they all had cute belts with the first letter of their names. Nigel was perverted to Jeanine throughout most of the night. Lil C is cool but overdid the vocabulary thing again..... Brandon's solo got a standing ovation and he was practically naked and it was like epic and Nigel said it was one of the best solos on the show ever. NappyTabs hip hop was great but again super literal it was about a couple being evicted and moving out boxes from their home and there are actual boxes. Oh Brandon and Kayla definitely stand-out couple of the night, amazing disco that the audience did not stop cheering over because it was pretty cool and awesome contemporary by Stacey Tookey Melissa (sorry, my personal opinion, lol) was um I don't know judges liked her, Nigel kept saying she's not even that old. Evan and Melissa's quickstep did not get as much good reviews as their first routine. Mary really did not like the quickstep. Mary really picked apart Jeanine and Ade's samba and didn't like Ade but then after for their hip hop Mary said she was so busy thinking of all the technical stuff in the samba that she forgot to say how AHMAZING Jeanine was in it. because she is ahmazing.
