"men contestant have it easier than woman !"
Apolo's partner dances provocatively to make it look like he really can dance.

What will Julianne do next; undress!

Oh please. Whether you like it or not, he can dance. It has nothing to do with being provocative.

On the premise men have it easier than woman in the competition I think I can agree.

Often times the dance is set up to show off the woman who does the flashier moves.

Although no matter how good the woman is it doesn't make up for a really bad male dancer (and we've had plenty of men who couldn't even provide a halfway decent backdrop for the professional women).

On the topic that Apolo can't dance at all and the only reason he is in the finals is her hip action, that I can't agree with. I think he does dance well. He isn't as much of a performance/charmer being an athlete vs an actor/singer but he is actually my favorite this season.

I agree with the above. Yes, it can more obvious if the woman is a bad dancer, hence it is more difficult for her. But, even the best professional woman could not make a bad male dancer look good and vice versa.

As an athlete, Apolo is very good at dancing. The only problem I've seen him run into now and then is his height — he and Juliane are the same height, so it makes him a bit clumsy in ballroom.

My heart goes with Apolo, my head goes with Joey. Joey is an extraordinary showman and dancer, but he was already pretty much there due to his past experience. Apolo has had to do this from the ground up. I would be happy if either of them won, but I would be happiest if it was a tie.

Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.

I disagree. Since the male leads, I think it's actually easier for the female contestants. A strong male dancer can make his partner look a lot better than she is by leading well. If a woman is good but is being led around by a complete lunkhead, she's going to look clumsy no matter how good she is.

I think it also depends on who the audience is. The studio audience tends to cheer loudest for the flashy non-dance moves and if the viewing public votes the same way, then it really doesn't matter much who is the better techical dancer.

Now, I think Apolo and Julianne's samba to "Move it" was excellent, most of the men I know remember her outfit and not much else.

I may not be a Tribe, but I play one in the movies.

I didn't realize Apolo had a partner in Move It.

Mens do not have it easier, they are the one who leads and as with Billy Ray ,she danced all around him while he stood there. Apolo is awsome as is Joey, but Joey did alot of dancing with the boy band were Apolo had no dance training,so to me Apolo has learned the most.As for Julianne, lets face it she's awsome.I haven't seen her do anything else the other girls haven't done, plus could anyone on this website even try to dance as good as she. Is it her age that bothers you or the fact that she's just that cute.

Welcome to the boards katbunny, but I think you are in the minority here. I agree with the other answers too. Apollo is a great dancer, and he and Julianne compliment each other very well. I do think Joey & Laila are both very good as well. Joey has lots of experience, and Laila is a competitor, but I just think she isn't as good as the 2 guys.

There is one area where women have it more difficult then the men: footwear. I would like to see just how well some of the male celebrities would do if they had to dance in stiletto heels.

True 'dat. I'd have a hard time even walking in heels that high. Forget dancing in them.

Tribe sent springtime flowers! blogging's scary
But, that's pretty much all I'll grant. At least this season - no matter how much I might admire Laila - she was way outdanced by either Apollo or Joey, imo.

I just got back from vacation in Alaska, and just had a chance to see the free styles. If anyone can say that Apolo CAN'T dance after THAT one, than wow-I dunno..........

Maybe we just weren't watching the same show. Joey was incredible, too, but that hip hop, even though I'm in my mid-50's (don't tell anyone, please), I have to say-WOW! He wasn't just standing there trying to make Julianne look good-he was participating 110%!

He deserved the title every which way you can say it, think it, or believe it. That's MY humble opinion, anyway. Just saying.

I agree 100%. Apolo was amazing!! It's so hard to even believe that he hasn't had any dancing experience! Their performance was awesome! Joey was great also. I really enjoyed his freestyle but not his cha cha. Laila's freestyle was so disappointing!! For that, I think she has Maks to blame. He, afterall, did the choreography. It was dull. It looks especially bad since the 2 guys were so fantastic!
