PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

1. "It gets better." |
If you believe some of the local sources, Donnie's reward for getting the Knicks under the cap (a feat many believed couldn't be managed without strategic assassinations) and back into the playoffs was the generous offer of --(wait for it) -- a 40% pay cut. Because, you know, anyone could have done what he pulled off. From what talk radio has been reporting, Mr. Walsh was seeking two things in his contract renewal: a little more control (meaning 'less chance of Thanksdad directly overriding') and the right to name his eventual successor. And what did he get? A 40% pay cut, since clearly Thanksdad could have done it all himself if only he'd been properly motivated. The papers are also reporting Isiah's said he isn't interested in the job just yet. Think about that last sentence for a minute. It's not a happy city today.

I'm guessing that the main problem is that last word, 'yet'...

5. "The end of the WNBA." |
James Dolan has hired Isiah Thomas as president (and possibly part-owner) of the New York Liberty. So the sexual harassment lawsuit magnet who destroyed an entire league is now in charge of an all-female team in a situation where the WNBA, while established, isn't quite as popular in the city as it could be. No way that could ever go wrong. http://www.cbssports.com/video/player/nba/440641603599/0/boomer-carton-isiah-thomas-interview Enjoy the rampant sexism. And that's just the hosts. Dolan's level of self-awareness? Just went negative. Again.
