PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

"Open Letter of Apology" |
As a lawyer, on behalf of all those in my profession, we deeply apologize for the actions of Heather and Eve on last night's show. Certainly, to the average reader of ordinary intelligence, the phrase "walk to" could not conceivably be interpreted to "take a cab most of the way to, and then get out f the cab and walk in." To a lawyer, however, it is, well, one possible interpretation and if you disagree of course we can litigate the issue for years until the case is utlimately decided on some procedural technicality. You can understand now why contracts say the same thing over and over again. The only acceptable lawyerly clue would say "walk, run, or otherwise ambulate to the pitstop. You may not use another mode of transportation. "Other mode of transportation" shall be defined herein to include, but not be limited to, plane, car, taxicab (whether designated as any of the following: cab, taxi, limousine, car-for hire or similar "for hire" vehicles), bicycle, train, subway, tricycle, horse, buggy, waverunner (whether or not denominated as a "jet ski"), or camel. You may, however, flirt with and/or block the progress of another team until they agree to carry you to the pitstop, but in such case you the team carrying you must be on foot." Again, I apologize on behalf of my profession.

I think they have a case. The clue said to "walk to the pitstop." They did walk to the pitstop. The clue should have said "walk from here to the pitstop." If TAR is so careful to define "walk" in the rulebook, they should have also defined that "walk to" means to walk all the way from the point of the clue to the destination, excluding all other forms of transportation. You were being sarcastic in your post, but don't they have a valid argument? Don't get me wrong; I still think that they were stupid for misreading the clue. Strider

Funny how they didnt "misread" the clue when it told them to "walk" to Stonehaven Harbor. Or maybe there just wasnt a cab available... LOL, sorry, but they get no pass on this one "The trouble with the rat race is that even if you win, youre still a rat"

NO....they don't have a valid argument. Only someone with a higher quotient of b.s. would even suggest that walk to the pitstop could EVER mean ride most of the way and walk up the steps. Did you notice their body language when they met with Phil at the end of the show? They could not look him in the face....they knew that their ass was in the dumpster, and no amount of legal mumbo jumbo would get them out.

We, laypeople, accept your apology. After all, these are the chicks that will become, if lucky, like the ones on Girls Club.

There ARE NO FEMALE ATTORNEYS like the ones in "Girls Club" ... nor are there any male attorneys like that ... at that stage of their careers. Heck, to pay for the apartment they have, they'd have to start out independently wealthy. I won't waste your time by mocking it any more -- it's too idiotic to warrant further commentary. In the next David Kelley show, expect to see fashion models who moonlight as nuclear physicists. It would be about equally realistic. I never thought David Kelley, who after all has a law degree, would be this far out of touch. I guess living with Michelle Pfeifer has warped him. Wish I were warped like that.

Hysterical contract clause, Mikey! As a future member of your esteemed profession, and one who just finished a whole year of Contract law, the only qualm I have with your language is that it is not nearly confusing enough and most ofthe language is in plain English. And these girls graduated from Harvard Law? I guess it makes sense, as the most arguably intelligent people I know are greatly lacking in the common sense department. "I could have gone anywhere, but I chose TEMPLE!"

No, we started at agreement and ease our way in. Another section started with remedies and they were hopelessly lost. But it still blew.Business Associations this semester is no better. Why am I doing this again?

First great sense of humor. Second, that was so true. As an aspireing lawyer, who needs spellcheck wherever she goes, I know that what you wrote can be so true in regards to all things including life and contracts.I think the girls are fine. Yes we all screw up, so I am going to take them at their word.

It's quite obvious that these girls didn't study rules too much at Harvard. Looks to me like these "daddy's girls" slid through school on daddy's money, not on their brains. Nikki
