Look at William Hung: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Hung He has sold over more cd's than many top 10 AIers in the past 5 seasons. Sanjaya will outsell William Hung imo--with the right marketing. (cover of Teen Beat or whatever they call those mags these days, etc.). His brand awareness is huge at this point. It's not about music with him now; it is about commerce. Heck, he may even be a draw for the AI concert this summer.
