Rocco working the floor. Yes, but he was still working the female customers too. And the 3 chefs who lied and quit and then Rocco called them on their lies. I think he was really hurt when they insulted his restaurant. But it does still seem to be a mix up of fancy and casual.

1. "the 3 chefs were right" |
They signed up to work WITH a fancy french trained chef, they expected to actually work WITH the fancy french trained chef making fancy elaborate dishes, not run of the mill generic Italian food that you can train a minimum wage line cook to make just as well. Also, they should've just told Rocco that the reason they lied to him is because they have no respect for him and the reason they have no respect for him is because he's no longer a chef, he's a show pony.
This is without a doubt the worst reality show I've ever seen and if it wasn't ending next week I wouldn't watch anymore. I'd say at least 70% of the show is completely scripted, complete with pre-written dialogue. There are just too many out of the blue situations where a camera crew just happens to be right tehre at the right time, like when the 3 chefs are drinking at some restaurant. And I really wonder who told Rocco that they were never at the hospital...smells like tampering to me by the producers. This show is so bad it makes Mr Personality look like Survivor. WORST. SHOW. EVER.

For those who don't know, Anthony Bourdain, one of the chefs who happened to come in last night and the one that made the case for chefs being "servers" in this day and age, is himself a major DAW who doesn't seem to spend much time in his own kitchen. Here is a link to his bio on foodtv.com http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/anthony_bourdain/article/0,1974,FOOD_9783_1696111,00.html and to info on his show http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show_tb/0,1976,FOOD_9996,00.html

3. "RE: The Restaurant - ep Aug 17th another fake part is...." |
The question is how did Rocco know the line chef, Tim, did not go to the hospital....and they showed Rocco having a phone conversation with someone at some hospital....who reportedly said they had no record of Tim, etc. Totally fake. Under new regulations sponsored by the Republicans(these are the folks who say they want to get govt. off your back)there is a new layer of bureauocracy preventing you from getting information in this manner. Even a family member could not call a hospital to find out whether their spouse or child was hospitalized. The phone call that Rocco allegedly made....fake! Unlike some of my fellow posters I think the Restaurant is an entertaining show, and I do enjoy it, but it is not a reality show, and for it to be promoted that way is a lie. The show is totally underwritten by its major sponsors, American Express, Mitsubishi, and Coors, and everything is dictated by product placement. I did think if funny that when the Restaurant can not pay its workers Rocco tells the accountant to get a draw on through American Express. I was waiting for Tim to say that he got a cut on his head from a Coors bottle that was smashed against his skull, and he was transported in a Mitsubishi SVU for medical treatment.

Why didn't the cameras decide to shoot from Rocco's other side for awhile. That zit on his cheek was distracting. They must really not like him. LOL!

LOL! Who does like him??? It's too bad that the 3 chefs lied; I'd have just said to Rocco,"Look, when I signed up, I was told I would be working with you, not being yelled at by you because you never bothered teaching us the techniques you use. I also thought that this would be an upscale restaurant, not just an overpriced one. I will stay here for as long as I can until you find my replacement, but consider this my notice." They'd have come off looking a lot better.

It's ok if he works the floor. It would be great if he worked it when me and my friends go there. He can serve me s&*#$ on a plate and I'd take it. He's sooo dreamy!
