As if being in an unsanitary 3rd world country isn't enough, the thought of rubbing shoulders with uneducated natives to help them build a disgusting hovel is just too much for precious little Kendra to bear. Building them a place using mud which probably contains dried yak-dung and knowing they will eventually be breeding inside the very walls she built, is more than she can stomach. The revulsion brings on her first asthma attack in years.

I am serious, though it's a bit embellished  During the preview it seemed to me she was having an asthma attack. There are a lot of strange plants and cooties in the dust that she wouldn't be exposed to in the U.S., and who knows how much pollen, add the stress of being back in yet another "disgusting 3rd world country" and it could easily have brought on an attack.

Maybe they are in eastern Africa.

Capture #25 looks to be the roadblock. If you look close, hayden has a red coloured clue in her hands. The roadblock is red. That would indicate both hayden and Kendra participate in the roadblock task.

Do you watch the Amazing Race? I was at my 2 Canadian friends' house the other night and Anne Marie's mum rung her and said she saw previews for next week's show and they're in Ethiopia. That would make sense since Wendy, saw the host and all the production equipment at the airport over a month ago. Then Anne Marie ran into a pair of British backpackers not long ago who were up north in Lalibella and were wondering what was going on when pairs of people were running all over the place and reading things off of cards. Apparently they were also on the same flight as them down to Addis and the contestants had to do something at the Mercato market as well here in Addis.

Hmmm, a large open-air market? The producers seem to love having challenges where the teams have to sell/deliver a product to such places. I haven't seen any screen captures that suggest one of the challenges involves this, but I wouldn't be surprised...

There seems to be very little in the clips about the roadblock and every team seems to do the same task of finishing a hut for the detour. Maybe a good way of seeing who is first and who is last is to compare the huts around the racers to see if any seem already finished. One clip seems to show Jonathan still working while 2 huts behind him are finished.

ok, Lori & Bolo are seen getting mud while Adam & Rebecca are raising the roof on their hut! Since we know the roof is on before they start mudding, that would indicate Lori & bolo are ahead of Adam & Rebecca. There is one finished hut behind Bolo (which could be just an example of a finished hut for all we know), so that could mean there is at least 1 team ahead of Bolo. The caps of Johnathan show 2 finished huts, with kendra & Freddy being there at the time of the Victoria Injury. At that point, both their huts look about equally mudded. There is a shot of Aaron raising the roof, but nothing around to indicate time. No shots of Kris & jon So as it stands, looks like the only order we can assume is Lori/Bolo
Adam/Rebecca
Freddy/Kendra
Johnathan/Victoria (her injury will slow them down) where Hayden/Aaron and Kris/Jon end up, is beyond me.

I don't think there are 2 separate tasks in hut building because if it was a choice between putting mud on the walls or putting up the roof, Lori and Bolo would have certainly chosen to lift the roof. We do see Bolo carrying mud which demands less brute strenght. It would mean that both jobs are part of a single detour task.

Picture 23, the river in the gorge - I have just finished reading (for the third time) Wilbur Smith's The Seventh Scroll, set in the headwaters of the Nile in Ethiopia. Could this be the Nile? There was also a Coptic Christian Church in the gorge in the story. For some reason, I pictured it to be a cave, not a real church, but seeing this church, I will now picture it differently next time I read the book. I can't wait to see this episode. Channel 7 in Australia will apparently start showing TAR6 at the beginning of February.

First most likely a major bunching at the Airport in Corsica for flight to Paris and then on Ethopian Airlines to Addis Ababa. Here it looks like teams are signing up for a possible charter flight North to LaLibela . Not sure on sequence up here but it looks like they have to trek across some open areas to village site. Now comes the Detour. I just think that putting on the roof, thatching it, fetching mud, plastering the walls is just too much to do in one task. My gut feeling is that this is the two parts of the Detour: Either pitch and thatch a roof or fetch and plaster the walls. Comments? Then at the completion of the Detour, they must lead a donkey train (any directions on how to drive the donkeys?) to Bet Girogis (St. George's Church). Here they are faced with the Roadblock: find the priest whose picture is included in the clue envelope (each team has a different one to locate) if you approach the wrong one, you have to exit the church and wait your turn to try again. This was the routine at the Tango Hall in Buenos Aires. Find the right priest and he will give you the clue to the pit stop. This is an elimination leg. I think that the task at the Market in Addis Ababa comes at the start of the next leg after a "charter" flight to AA; then they will get directions to continue on to Shanghai, China for leg 11. This then would put them into Australia for leg 12 on February 1 which matches up with Jonathan's website message about the teams being in Australia in February. Comments?

The Early Show has already announced several times that the latest castoff team will be on TES on Wednesday morning (usually between 7:30AM and 8:00AM EST). Second, there will be major bunchings first at the airport in Corsica, then at the airport in Paris, then in Addis Ababa as they wait for two charter flights. It looks like all six teams are there at the roof raising, mud slinging, hut building. But from everything I can see we see two teams carrying roof frames (with stacks of dry grass in the BG) and four teams plastering the walls. I think this is a two part detour at the same site as we had in the IKEA store in Stockholm and at the fortress in Eger, Hungary. The Roadblock is definitely at the church as we see Hayden and Kris with red envelopes at the Bet Giorgis. But no idea of who is first, second or last.

We see Adam and Rebecca climbing the hill behind Kris and Jon during the donkey trail. That would mean, if the order of the hut building was right, we would have Hayden/Aaron, Kris/Jon, Adam/Rebecca and Lori/Bolo in front of Jonathan/Victoria and Freddy/Kendra with Jonathan's hut appearing closer to be finished than F/K. Would the clip of Kendra in tears be the final quote from them?

There is also what CBS writes about one team misreading a clue and putting them in trouble. Everyone seems to have assumed it happens in the first part of the leg. What if it has something to do with the roadblock at the church which seems to happen after the hut building?

If we are being shown things as they be in actual time; then it looks like Aaron/Hayden; Jon/Kris; and Adam/Rebecca did the roof and thatch task and finished ahead of the wall and plaster teams: Bolo/Lori; Kendra/Freddy; and Jonathan/Victoria. Of the latter three we see Bolo and Lori loading up the donkey train and he is covered in mud. On the other hand: Kris, Hayden, (at the church) Rebecca, Jon, Aaron and Adam look remarkably clean during their tussles with the donkeys; so I don't think they did the wall plaster bit. Thatching the roof (with lots of local help to carry the frame) seems to be an easier task than carrying lots of mud by yourself and plastering four walls.

It just hit me. Freddy and kendra definately catch up. In fact they all do!We know the Detour with the huts is *before* the donkeys as Bolo is seen with mud on him with the donkeys. I have a feeling ALL teams are grouped together at the Detour task. Think about it... J/V seen with F/K (detour)
F/K seen with A/R (donkeys)
A/R seen with K/J (donkeys) L/B seen with A/R (detour)
A/R seen with H/A (donkeys) Since L/B seen with mud on them with the donkeys, that groups both detour and donkeys together. The connections above ALSO group all the teams together. Since there are several bunchings to begin with on the leg and we have them all together post-detour, I think the *only* screen caps we can really go on to determine who stays and who's Philiminated, are the roadblock caps just prior to the pit stop. Unfortunately we only have Hayden and kris clips to go on. Doesn't the sun set on hayden?
