3. "Heavy drug!.....Fentanyl" |
Wow....I had NO IDEA! I was wondering why a couple of weeks ago the show just stopped cold!I work in the field of substance abuse and can tell you that "Fentanyl" is a verrrrrrrry strong opiate narcotic that is usually only given to people in horrible pain....like a terminal cancer patient. It is VERY much abused and alot of the heroin that is on the streets is actually not even heroin, but Fentanyl. I can't say for sure, of course.....but this sounds very suspicious to me. He might have been dabbling with drugs and OD'ed. Either way.....bummer! smooooooch.....Chava Stop by and tell us how you REALLY feel!!

Fentanyl Confirmed in Michael Tata's Death Also on klastv.com (Aug. 17) -- Toxicology tests confirm that Michael Tata died from a combination of the painkiller fentanyl and alcohol. The popular casino executive was found dead at his home in Henderson in July. It's now believed that the powerful opium-based painkiller, fentanyl, is at least partly to blame. The coroner says Tata's death was accidental. But UMC clinical pharmacist Don Frisch says that fentanyl can turn deadly if it's used used recreationally, especially if alcohol is added to the mix: "But when used in combination with other respiratory depressants, like alcohol or valium, you can actually have an enhanced effect on the respiratory system -- leading to death," Frisch said. Fentanyl is used for the most severe types of pain, especially cancer. But it's recreational use has been steadily increasing. According to police reports, Tata had consumed both vodka and a stick of fentanyl shortly before his death. Again, they say it was an accidental death.

Again, they say >it was an accidental death. > Very unfortunate - he certainly didn't seem like the type to be 'doing drugs' even recreationally...... there was never any mention of him having any kind of cancer so it seems that this turned out to be a most unfortunate accident that cost him his life. I live right down the street from Green Valley Ranch so it seems a bit more personal I guess and I felt very saddened when I heard of this. My best goes to him mom and remaining family and friends.
