Filming commenced on Monday, May 19, and concluded on Thursday, June 27. Though the rainy season in the Philippines commenced on Day 22, June 10, the northern region, including Palaui Island, escaped the brunt of it during the filming time, with a fairly static weather pattern.
The nearest weather stations to PI were at Aparri, about 20 miles southwest of PI, and the airport on Calayan Island, approximately 40 miles north and west of both Aparri and PI. While satellite (cloud) imagery was available, radar (rain) imagery was not available.
Daytime high temperatures were consistant, in the 90s, with the highest temperature, 97, recorded on day 21, June 9. Nightime lows were consistant, in the 70s or low 80s, with the lowest recordings, 75, on days 1, 3, 4, 5 and 10.
Rain or thunderstorms in the region were recorded on days 2 (Aparri), 3 (Calayan), 4 (C), 5 (C), 6 (A), 9 (A), 22 (A), 24 (C), 25 (C), 26 (C), 29 (A), 30 (A), 31 (A), 32 (C), 36 (A), 37 (C). The most rain recorded was on day 22 at 1.38 inches.
