I guess they could have brought out the returning player alternates with a female AND male partner with them? Definitely sounds like a mess though.

Also, Im not so sure that tribes are literally being split into Blood related (mothers, sons, fathers, brothers) vs Water related (couples etc). In Probst's interview with EW he said the family members and returnees would be playing 'against each other'.

Im also not completely sold on Tina's inclusion. Do we have any evidence that backs it up? With the others it is obvious to tell from due to social media absence but with Tina there really is no solid way to confirm it so for all we know, Tina may have never been on and Candice could have always been meant to be on this entire time. This is all confusing right now.

I guess we could be over-analyzing and Candice is simply there because she was an alternate, took leave off work so she stayed to enjoy the vacation rather than be sent back to the US.
