Excuse me, but evidently this "show" is accepted by the "higher ups." BTW, who are the higher ups? Who moderates this board?

Anyway, I have to agree that from what I have seen between S1 and S2 and now S2 and S3, once the show is over there is a lot of "ghost town" looks to message boards. Hell, some even shut down! Not to mean harm, as I know people have multiple boards, but what is the ELP site doing to "spoil S3?"

There isn't much alternative while Survivor is in "filming" unless you go to another TV show's forums and threads. Off Topic is what is left after trying to spoil the damn S3 location!

But from what I have seen in attempts at this sort of "survivor" virtual reality playing, is that people are left out and feelings are actually real. Do we emit our real life via this medium? Is that why we take flaming personally? Come on now, admit it! The reason is, we all belong to this board. We feel as if it is a bond, a family, a group of friends. And when we get flamed, left out of the pack, or mistreated, we respond as if in real life. There's no escaping our underlying desire to communicate with others regarding common topics. Survivor happens to be the most widely accepted topic to communicate on in a message board.

Once that has been taken from us in any manner, we are left with a void. We turn to other topics however much the are a pile of crap. We are addicted and are feeling withdrawal. Then the opportunity to do something like ShakesSurvivor and 60 people vie for 16 slots. Duh, do the math. Yeah, for a moment I was despondent I was not among the 16, but then I knew I would not be selected.

As for spoiling the "show," it is nothing but speculation unless we get "real" leaks from Shakes himself. And now, look what happened even to the warning of Aya. The 16 become targets just like Shakes said. So why not pick the more obvious "contestants?" They can take the insults and flaming the others are likely to do. At least they know they can come at them.

But in reality, just how are the 16 interacting? Nadda! This is a story coming from the brain of Shakes himself. Even he said it may not last. Could it be his mind is limited? LOL! (Sorry couldn't resist that one.) And look how long it takes to even get to E1! Only natural. Writing one of these things isn't easy. Yet we demand immediate exposure as if the thing were alread "filmed!"

Shakes expects this to be attacked, but remember it is not real! If you find you have problems being attacked, then you shouldn't have "applied." Because the attacking will come from at least three sides -- nonplayers, other players, and Shakes himself.

My final words are these? Take it with a grain of salt. And, JUST WHEN IN THE HELL DOES S3 START?????!!!! Uh, our hour is up, that will be $250.00 please.
