MiG seems to have a great stage personna but his vocals don't seem to match up to most of the other singers.

I think part of my enjoyment is watching the reaction of INXS and Dave when they listen to the singers. We don't often see rockers listening to other rockers and showing their reaction.

8. "My Ratings for the night"
I may get flamed for these, but I'll give it a shot.

1 Heather 8 – don’t like her looks, but she can sure sing
2 Marty 8.5 – Wow! Good fit for Inxs
3, Daphe 7 – tough job for a woman to sing a Jim Morrison song, did a good job though
4. Susie 5 - didn’t impress me
5. Brandon 6.5 – too big in voice and personality
6. Jordis 7.5 Great job on a tough song, Nirvana is a sacred cow
7. MiG 6 – Big Energy, vocals didn’t impress me
8. Deanna 8 – What a great voice
9. Wil 6 - Didn’t impress me, took awhile to figure out what he was singing
10. Jessica 6.5 – Vocals seemed a bit shakey
11. Tara 6 – Bad song draw, tough song to rock out to
12. Neal 4 – Mick Jagger wannabee he should be himself, yells more than he sings
13. Ty 8 – Great performer, awesome rocker
14. J.D. 6 – better than last night, but his voice seems to heavy

The House Band gets a 9.5! Who are these guys?

Marty really impressed me tonight. Heather, Deanna, and Ty were superb.

Biggest disappointment was Wil, thought he had something special going the first night but didn’t show anything tonight.

9. "RE: My Ratings for the night"
This show is interesting. The strongest performers in my opinion are Heather, Jordis, and Ty. Those three have the vocal strength and the charisma to make a song their own. I actually think heather is very fun and cute and I hope she does well.--But I don't know if i see her with INXS. Jordis is so sure of herself and has a very confident stage presence. Ty is just brilliant.

But--whether they are right for INXS remains to be seen.

What I like so much about this group of singers vs the idol show-is that their vocal styles are strong and direct and they don't get caught up in the vocal gymnastics like other aspiring vocalists did on idol. These guys just want to rock and that is great. The Celine Dion and Whitney Houston style of singing which idol singers often tried to emulate is so hard to listen to for me. This is a great group of singers. They all have tremendous talent in their individual ways.

The show was terrific tonight! The band likes Deana, but I voted for Jordis. The first boot (I can't even remember her name) was pretty easy, but it is going to get harder with the audience choosing the bottom 3. Wonder if the band has a preference for male or female?

11. "RE: July 12"
As in week one, Jordis and Ty are by far my favorites. There are two blond gals who I can't keep straight (not Suzie). I really like one of them a lot but don't care for the other one at all. The older one is the one I like - great voice and great presence. The one who was pulling her shirt up on stage was way too choreographed for rock (I imagine...I'm certainly no expert) and her voice is nothing special. I found her performance boring and uninspired.

I was switching back and forth between this and another show, so I missed a good portion of the performances last night - thankfully I saw all of my favorites. Wil was extremely boring both nights. Hope he goes soon!

I like almost everyone so far. I would buy an album that any of them put out. As far as this band though, so far I am for Marty and Mig. But that could change.
I love all of the women but to be honest, I would like to see a man front this band.

when you love someone, you tend to see them as you want them to be, not as they are.

14. "My Bottom Three"
Based on the last two nights performances, I put Wil, Susie & Jessica in my bottom three.

I can never understand Wil when he starts a song. It always sounds so weak. He's very understated & I'm not sure his current vocal stylings are big enough for INXS.

Jessica is more eye-candy than substance. She's just "ok," not WOW.

Susie just isn't that good. Her voice is shaky & she lacks enough confidence to go up against these great singers.

I'd boot Susie. Jessica & Wil could both improve enough to impress me, but I doubt either of them will go much deeper into the competition.

I think a man will most likely end up winning this. I still like Marty the best. Brandon is also really good. He's the barefoot guy. He doesn't look all that impressive at first, but he has an amazing voice and great stage presence.

There are a lot of talented women there, too. Jordis is my favorite, but Daphna has a stroing voice and great rocker look, and Deanna is also really talented.

I wonder how they found these singers. I would see almost any of them perform (with a few exceptions.. Wil (bleah), Suzie (blah), J.D. (eww)). This show is WAY better than the ones that feature bad singers before getting to the "good" ones. I can't wait to see who wins!!!

21. "RE: July 12"
Ya gotta remember that the singer will be replacing Michael and will have to sing INXS songs. While Deanna may have great pipes, I can't imagine her belt the words out sytle applied to Devil Inside.

Oh, I finally registered here. Been on sucks for a couple of years, but I can't get to it at work and need my fix of reality commenting at lunch.

Appearance: Brandon and Ty need to lose the outdated hairdos. Daphna needs to show her face. Suzie needs to lose the chipmunk eyes.

Stage presence: JD needs to stop jerking. My husband's comment on Jessica was who let the titty dancer loose on stage? Her singing suffered as she seemed to be concentrating more on movement and less on singing. Neal, hmm, if he does one more song channeling Mick Jagger, he's outa there. You could tell that Mig and Ty were in stage musicals as their movements seemed really rehearsed (don't know if that's bad or not).

Singing: Will was terrible and can't rock. He needs to look for a folk rock group that's lost their lead singer. Deanna has no range, but does have a great voice within that range. Thought Jordis, Daphna, Marty, and Heather were great. Brandon, Tara, Suzie and Neal were soso.

Creativity (INXS said they were looking for this): JD's rearrangement of California Dreamin' was really good. Jordis showed some in her presentation.

Daphna would be better on a show called Rock Star: Guns 'N' Roses!
(OK, I guess now it would be Velvet Revolver. But you get my point.)
