LAST EDITED ON 04-16-09 AT 09:49 PM (EST)I didn't mind this episode. I am not a Miles fan (I always wondered why he was tagging along) but this episode brought him up for me.
1. I am interested to see what happens with Dr. Chang. Supposedly he kicks out Miles and Mom when Miles is still a baby. Mom then says Dad is dead... how would she know that? How long has he been dead? Why? Or is she full of it? Dr. Chang seems like a loving father and so maybe he sends them away to protect them.
2. I liked the whole Hurley and Miles exchange. It's obvious that Miles is trying hard not to like Hurley but is not succeeding.
3. I liked Hurley's whole probing of Dr. Chang in the van... your wife, your kids, your name is Miles too.
4. I laughed when Hurley suggested to Miles that maybe he could hold himself or change his own diaper!!
5. So Ilana and crew are not working for Widmore but I don't know that they're Dharma either. They don't speak like scientists. The whole what lies in the path of the statue thing is too riddlely and the talk of being special is not very scientific. I still think they could be the descendents of/original natives (the ones who built the statue) of the island. Ilana claimed to not know Ben and so I think they may not be part of the Others either and were perhaps chased away by Alpert and Co.
6. Kate needs to keep her mouth shut.
7. Is Miles going to come to know his father and realize that he's not such a bad guy afterall and try to warn him?
8. So Daniel, where have you been for the past 3 years? (totally missed the whole Michigan comment! )
9. What's up with the dead dude? He looked liked Dharma. Was he killed by his own people? If he was killed by a hostile there would have been a big to-do about it. The guy is digging a hole, thinking of a girl and gets a bullet in the head. Was he digging where he wasn't supposed to be? This is more evidence that Dharma is indeed very evil.
