"Chill One Revisted?"
Be foreward how much you want to know. Whether this is true, that will remain to be seen.

Here is the link and it is a long story so I'll put at the bottom the stuff I gleaned. I saw he posted in Sucks saying this:

Good Morning. For those of you that are interested, I've posted my All-Star spoiler on my website (see my profile). Due to the recent feelings of spoilers here on Sucks, I decided to present my information this way. I apologize in advance if certain information makes it way back here ... it will not be from me.

If you have any questions or comments, I will be here, in this thread, to address them.

I spend a good amount of time over the past few weeks to make my intel as entertaining as possible (through the written word). I hope you enjoy my Piece of ASS.

yeah i read it and it was interesting but it got me even more depressed...

1) Amber better give an incredible performance instead of this LOVE thingie between Rob and Amber or else ASS will be a stinker and Jeff's "you will not be disappointed" will be just hype

2) Ethan being voted off first is no biggie to me but i think a lot Ethan supporters will be mad or turned off....kinda sux eh?

3) let's just hope some of these things arent true because PERSONALLY, i would like the opposite of things to happen (Mogo Mogo doing well...final seven kinda sux, where's Kathy?)

If the SNN scorecard final nine are a "sourced list" rather than a best guess, then Lex and Kathy are the first two jury members.

I haven't read the ChillOne's story yet, but in the Amazon, ChillOne had Daniel going first, even after our vidcap evidence proved Ryan was the first to go...the ChillOne believed his sources blindly, without considering other spoiler information. He may have learned his lesson...but we'll have to wait and see.

The ChillOne's final 7 and final two also match the SNN scorecard. While I think ChillOne was legitimate in the Amazon, he may have become addicted to the attention and may be using the "scorecard" to supplement the real "intel" he received from Panama...

May have??? I think the "book" was the final sign that CO has become a bigger DAW than any of the actual contestants.

Seriously, he looked at snewster's scorecard, Lex and Kathy are the first gone according to his estimate, too. and the order that he presents the rest are the same, except that he has shii and tom switched.

It's really easy to spoil when someone else did it before you.

Rather disappointing report as I don't think there was much new information in it. It would have been nice to get the merged tribe's name and/or a confirmation of what date the game ended. The 37 day schedule or Dec. 9th end date on the SNN calendar was speculative... mostly based on the crew having their wrap party on Dec. 10th.

I agree Griffe. While I was an avid ChillOne fan during S6, I've got my doubts about his latest atempt at "spoiling".

I read his article, and it reads like fiction or at best a docu-drama based on information from SNN, the Wingedmonkeys, and Wezzie and Quartzeye.

Here's just one example from SS:

Re: Wezzie's and Quartzeye's First Glimpse of S8

Picture this ... rented helicopter painted black ... military style gun toting guerrillas, add a big scary metal boat painted camoflauge colors that hauls ass. What do you have?

Re: Wezzie's and Quartzeye's First Glimpse of S8

This photo posted by Tiffer was taken during S8. QE and I saw this ship during our November S8 trip. It's painted in sea-color camouflage in a large zig zag pattern. We believe that the black helicopter with armed guards and this military-style ship are part of the show, perhaps part of the opening scenes.

ChillOne's "intel" about the opening of the show sounds like it was taken directly from these posts.

There's nothing in his story that has not been written elsewhere. His Final seven, final 4 and final 2, match the SNN Scorecard...so it's either an independent confirmation of the scorecard or a mutation of that spoiler incorporated into ChillOne's story.

Ethan going first is the only curious prediction, but that could be read as Uncleboatdriver II saying that Ethan is the first of the three previous winners to be booted, or ChillOne's own speculation of who the first male is to get the boot.

Regardless, I'm much more skeptical of the ChillOne this time than in S6. I think he's trying too hard to sell his book and may have embellished his adventure to get back into the spotlight...

I can't get into the story to read it, so I don't know if this quote is directly from ChillOne or a paraphrase by VerucaSalt of what CO says:

Final Two that CO deduced from how the order was given to him
Rob M. Amber

Just want to point out that this mirrors why CO had the early boots wrong in S6 -- he believed that the order in which his source reeled off the names was unquestionably the boot order.

7. "RE: Chill One Revisted?"
I don't know.

I mean, what is really new here? KB is right. It appears to be just a re-hash of what's already out there. I guess the key piece of new intel is C1's report that Ethan is the first boot. I guess we'll know right away if his source is credible 'cause absolutely no one would have predicted this.

But something still troubles me. C1 visits the Pearl Islands on December 20 and doesn't publish his report until much of his "intel" was already available. Why wait almost a month? True, he continued on with his vacation plans and then needed time to write his article but still...this is a guy who loves being known as The Spoiler with a capital S, a true DAW as Webby said. He's gonna wait with this info? Of course, C1 could have been the source for much of what is available as KB pointed out elsewhere but is this guy going to share info? I'm doubtful.

Ya know, JP stated in that interview that CBS was fighting back against spoilers with misinformation. Was Chill played? Did he flip? Is his next book about spoiling the spoilers?

Or is he truly The Spoiler?

16. "What if..."
What if the reward for winning the challenge is your tribe gets to pick the boot for the 3rd place tribe? Ethan then looks like an obvious target, and might also explain why other past "winners" and threats like Colby (strength) and Rob C (strategy) could be out early as well. This was discussed early and the consensus was they might let the winning tribe pick which tribe was first to go, but the original speculation was winner gets to pick the boot (horrible option IMO, but possible at least until the 3 tribes merge into 2).

Also given the smaller number on the initial tribe the dynamics might not work exactly as expected. After all no boot target considers themselves obvious. If Ethan in a psuedo leadership role proceeds to let the "target" know they are the "target" the "target" then has two options fall on their sword for the good of the others or turn the tables. In a tribe of 8 this means getting 3 others to agree with you... in a tribe of 6 you only need 2.

Throw in the option of illness or injury and Ethan is not a bad first boot option at all... that being said Im still extremely skeptical that this particular "tip" will be accurate as it doesnt jive with some of the vidcaps we're seeing that appear to suggest that Ethan is in Episode #2.

LAST EDITED ON 01-20-04 AT 09:56 PM (EST)

Cowboy ( I almost wrote "idiot" but thought you may take it wrong in email form) why don't you like the idea of winners picking the boot? I'm just curious. I always thought it would make a good twist. It would basically make alliances no good and might even allow the Ambers of the game not afraid to show a personality. I mean, if I were on Survivor, I would be more apt to mind my P's and Q's knowing that these were the people that were going to hold my fate. However, if I knew that my tribemates weren't responsible for me going home, I may just tell people more how I felt about them.
Sorry for interupting your conversation but your "IMO" note caught my eye.
If the game were played this way for ASS that would make sense of Ethan going home first, as in, the winning team boots Ethan not his own team.

48. "RE: What if..."
I'm not much on another tribe doing the voting because it skews the game to favor the weaker players and makes the hard decision (do you keep the strong obnoxious person, or the hard worker who cant swim and lost you the challenge?) almost arbitrary in nature. I especially see this as being problematic on ASS as many of the fan favorites (Colby, Ethan, Rupert, etc.) or past winners would surely be the first evictees under this arrangement, and while those people may very well be early boots I find it hard to believe that MB and co. would intentionally slant the game in that direction.

That of course is not to say that this is not what happened, but I personally think it would mess up the game (as the ghost tribe twist did last season).

Makes sense. Not to mention how boring I guess it would be to watch a bunch of weak players compete against each other. Much better to watch the strong battle it out.

8. "Ethan Makes Zero sense"
Ethan going home 1st makes ZERO sense to me.

1) Ethans strategy in S3 was to let someone else take the lead and be a solid right hand man. I don't think Ethan would change from a winning strategy, NOR COULD HE. Ethan's personality is not that of a leader, So I can't see him getting the boot as the result of a lost power struggle.

2) The living conditions in this version of SURVIVOR sounds like it will be pretty difficult, and the Quest for Fire challenge seems to be extremely physical. WHY would they boot the second strongest person on their team right off the bat? The Quest for Fire should hammer home the importance of keeping strong players around for awhile. Too, Rupert saw what happened to his tribe in S7 when they voted out Burton (a strong player). I can't believe he would go along with a stratey to vote out Ethan at the first TC.

3) The players have to be aware of the possibility of a GHOST tribe returning. Why would any team send one of it's strongest players to the Ghost tribe at the 1st TC.

4) CO, seems to derive his info that Ethan goes first due to intel that says "Ethan was missing from some of the first challenges".
This implies to me that Ethan was present at some of the LATER challenges. The only way Ethan would be missing from early challenges, but present at later challenges, is if their IS a GHOST tribe this time (but I THINK Snewser said there would not be a GHOST tribe this time).

....how about the blatantly obvious scenario where the previous winners are targeted first no matter what. Not saying it will happen, but it is definitely a possible scenario and one that at least rates probable enough where there is no way you can say there is "ZERO chance Ethan will go first."

11. "No, I already considered it."
I already considered the possibility that as a prior winner Ethan would move to the front of the loser lodge guest list.

But this team ALSO has Tina on it. Who would YOU boot FIRST if trying to get rid of prior winners? Tina or Ethan? Seems like an easy call to me, boot Tina.

I would have thought it was self evident that there isn't really ZERO chance that Ethan goes first. Obviously my comment contains a degree of hyperbole. But I think you are smart enough to have known that already.

It's possible that Ethan becomes ill or injured and has to leave the game. It's possible his mother died too, and he left the game. It's possible he wandered off into the jungle got lost, and they are still looking for him. And maybe he was struck by lightning and nothings was left but a few stray hairs. All of which could result in Ethan being the first one out of the game. I think all of these scenario's are more possible than Ethan being VOTED out first.

Since you and I BOTH know there isn't really ZERO chance of Ethan going first - just that it's extreme unlikely, I've got to wonder if your response is an attempt to revive some of the harshness that could be found on here during S2. That is to say, the attacks on other posters (especially newbies) for the flimsiest of excuses.

Why do you think Tina would be the better boot? If the goal is to eliminate previous winners first, (and I agree with Shakes that it's a good possibility) why not Ethan over Tina? I'd boot Ethan first. I think Ethan is more likable than Tina, more athletic, and less UTR. I can easily see Ethan being a target over Tina. That's not saying I believe the spoiler, but I think it's a good possibility.

HUH? I don't see how you equate Shakes post above as harsh, at all. Nor do I see anything even close to a "attack". Just because someone disagrees with your reasoning, it's not an attack. Your accusations appear far more confrontational than anything he said, IMO.

Ethans strategy in S3 was to let someone else take the lead and be a solid right hand man. I don't think Ethan would change from a winning strategy, NOR COULD HE. Ethan's personality is not that of a leader, So I can't see him getting the boot as the result of a lost power struggle.

Actually, mavsfan, you've illustrated a good reason why Ethan could go first with this observation.

Ethan and Rudy seem the least likely to proactively initiate alliances based on their previous performances. We know Jerri and Tina can scheme; Rupert and Jenna, as mid-game boots in their first go-rounds, are not likely to start out the game by leaving everything to chance, imo.

So if Ethan lays low, waiting around to be invited into a voting bloc, he could get left out in the cold.

108. "Ok, Does Ethan Talk himself into getting booted?"
While I still regard an Ethan Boot as idiotic, I'm willing to examine Spoilers that point to an Ethan Boot.

1) Tom's team seems to be significantly ahead of Ethan's team in getting the rafts to the Mat.
2) Richards team seems to have the bottom half of the immunity idol at their camp.
3) The 1st boot is male

1 & 2 & 3 point to Ethan's team losing the challenge & that the boot candidates would be Ethan, Rudy, and Rupert.

3) Ruperts outburst at S7's reunion and his physical state indicates he lasts deep into the game.
4) Prior winners get voted off early.

3 & 4 point to Ethan getting the boot. Rupert last towards the end, Rudy isn't a prior winner.

Too, while I think booting Ethan over Tina or Rudy is idiotic, Jerri was willing to organize Kels boot. And Ethan may follow Christys lead and play coy or follow Colbys lead and refuse to align with Jerri. Another possibility, maybe he hopes to join up with Lex and Tom again.

The only remaining hurdle for me is Rob M is said to use players sexual history against them to advance himself. I had thought that since Ethan is said to have a history with a number of the SURVIVOR women, that Rob M would end up using this against Ethan. IE. Rob M and Ethan would last long enough to be on the same team.

Well, I dunno... We've learned from past Survivors that these castaways can be pretty darn stupid.

Look at Maraamu. Look at Ogakor. Two tribes that eventually ended up winning. They both booted some strong players pre-merge (Hunter, Kel). It was stupid and risky, yes, but they still did it anyway. It happens all the time.

I kinda hope they don't boot Ethan first, but I could see it happening, especially with strong Rupert on the team.

Good logic Jims - Rupert's strength may indeed come into play allowing the voting off of a male first. It is also likely that Rupert will be starting off paranoid, and if Ethan makes one youthful joke similar to what Burton and Shawn did, he may turn off quickly. He's gotta be exhausted.

On the flip side, I find it hard to believe that Ethan wouldn't be bonding with Rupert and Tina from the start, personality-wise. Of course, fame and money changes can change people...

I think the best part of this season will be to see how repeating the game will or will not change strategies (not to mention personality repression

Awwwww this isn't bonding to you?

Seriously, I think with ASS the "formula" will either be along what we always know (usually the physically weaker or the completely bossy/uncooperative as first boot) OR ENTIRELY ENTIRELY DIFFERENT with the reason being that these people have played this game, want "justice" and whatever else.

For those who are squinting their eyes at what is being said by CO and cocking an eyebrow stating "How could this be?" I say post who you BELIEVE would be going. Thereafter, the first boot may make things clearer for everyone.

Personally, Rudy would be my first choice for obvious reasons but are we playing the way of "get rid of who is not helping or holding us back" OR is this the "ASS WAY" where prior winners are immediately the targets to go?

If Ethan does indeed go first, we know what motiviation is driving them.

Well technically that pic of R/J/E could be at any time at camp also.

In the press photo, Jenna has her buff around her neck with her tank top on and her bathing suit underneath

If those arrival shots are from two different periods, they may have gone back to camp first to work on their living arrangements then came back for the challenge.

I find that unlikely. I know some dont like facial expression shots and I agree with that for the most part, but the body language and general disposition makes me think it is post exertion of some sort. The fact that they are all wearing their buffs makes me think its most likely post challenge. Since it is clearly NOT post E1 challenge the only option is for it to be pre-challenge back at camp as you suggest or post challenge at a future event. I personally believe the later.

It really doesn't strike me as a sitting-around-camp vignette, though. They are all clearly watching some activity. What would they be staring at in their camp, sitting close together in a little row like that?

To me it looks more like a challenge cap and I can't reconcile it with the Quest for Fire IC. Jenna's buff moved, they don't look the slightest bit wet, and there doesn't seem to be any place (or any reason) to sit down before or during the QFF challenge.

But........... how often do we see people sitting down waiting on a challenge either?

Usually when the contestants arrive, they get divided up then go back to camp to start their living arrangements and THEN go for the challenge. Further up or somewhere else I posted Jenna M. wearing the clothes from the photo shoot at camp, Rudy drinking water in the dark blue shirt, Richard is wearing a skirt and it looks like camp. Tina is wearing her cap and flowered bathing suit at camp while working on a fire etc.

Unless something is going to be thrown in my face to the contrary, I think they go to the press shoot, go back to their respective camps to set up shop and then come back for a challenge. It might not be very intriguing but I've seen it happen each time (unless of course someone comes and corrects me lol)

(Should I be ducking my head at something being thrown at me?)

But this is my point, all these pictures have them wearing things that have been picked up on here, there and everywhere though I can't see Jenna's buff around her stomach in the fire making picture, I'll take your word for it All I see is Ethan's yellow shirt draped over shoulders

I stand corrected ic- there are challenges when people are waiting as you suggest (lets see... when they are finished and waiting on the other team... when its a relay of some sort... when its an ellimination style event and they have been eliminated)

but typically I don't see that happening as often as I see them finishing and standing around waiting on their other teamates perhaps cheering them on and grant it, we have never seen three tribes competing except for the ghosts and they all finished up one after the other with really no time to sit and wait. The other type relays like when they did the pirate ship challenge and it was Rupert/Jon, Christa/Darrah etc. was different in the sense they were not playing as tribes but individuals whereas this picture still appears to be tribe related.

Mind you, I'm going on generally what I've seen in the past in terms of the challenges.

I thought this initially too, but that was because I didnt buy that they would drop them on their islands without first introducing them. There are several reports out there now that indicate they did just that, which makes me rather skeptical that they are allowed back to their camps. In fact the whole goggle thing can be easily explained away if each tribe received it as part of their tree mail for the E1 challenge (which seems more likely than gathering them for a group shot and then sending them back to camp).

"The Internet and the accessibility to information has made it very difficult to do shows like Survivor," Probst told the Sun yesterday in a phone interview from his home in Los Angeles. "And it wouldn't surprise me if ultimately it led to the demise of our show at some point."

With each series filmed a few months before it goes to air, keeping a lid on twists, vote results and other secrets is proving nigh-on impossible. And it's not the contestants themselves who are doing the blabbing.

"Sooner or later you cannot combat people who betray you," Probst said. "We have a crew of 400 people, and everybody tells somebody something. I definitely believe that.

"Once you spread information like that and there's money to be made or fame to be had - 'Hey I know something you don't know, listen to this' - all we can do, honestly, is counter it with our own misinformation."

Sounds like misinformation will be used during S8, we just have to figure out what it looks like when we see it...

If I'm remembering correctly, Mr411 is the guy who's claim to fame was spotting a Website glitch that revealed who would go about a day before the show aired. He later used his job (something to do with travel/customs?) to identify who was booked on flights to and from Panama on specific dates. He reported that Rupert's wife returned before the "family visit".

While I do believe he has had information in the past, I can't think of what information he might have to indicate Tina leaves, other than speculation, just like the rest of us...

We need to figure out which tribe loses the IC, that's the damn problem. I feel fairly confident from the way the Red tribe is smiling in the post-challenge shots that it's not them. But who finishes last out of Yellow and Green? Here we have ChillOne saying Mogo Mogo (Green) "doesn't fare well," yet Ethan (Yellow) supposedly gets booted first.

We could read the comments of ChillOne's "source" a few different ways...

When told that the Green tribe doesn't fair well, ChillOne asks "in the Challenges?", but the answer is vague. He may mean they don't fair well because Jenna decides to quit the game and the green tribe loses a member of their tribe...

He also is told that none of the previous winners do well and mentions Richard, Tina, and Ethan...he then goes on to say that Ethan goes first, but it's unclear if UBDII is saying that Ethan is the first of all the castaways to go, or if Ethan is the first of the previous winners to get the boot...hmmm

Wow, it is so good to be back! Looks like I have a lot of reading to see what is going on this season. I agree KB, interpretation is so important and that is where so many differences come from. We all read into things differently and our first impressions take hold and we have a hard time seeing how the same statement can be interpreted any differnt. Sounds like we will be having some false spoiling going on this year, not that we haven't before.
Well I don't have a great uncle who lives down the street of the dentist of the first one booted off...but...I sure enjoy this board and hope to post more this year. Oh how I wish I could work my magic fingers on one of the all stars and see what I could find out...hehehe...it is amazing what people will tell you when you are massaging them!!

In other words, if we assume that the initial information is correct, but potentially interpreted incorrect (and I'm not convinced that the original info is accurate), then we can assume that Richard and Tina are safe for the first episode. That means the conclustion drawn from the photos here http://community.realitytvworld.com/boards/cgi-bin/dcboard.cgi?az=show_thread&om=4666&forum=DCForumID2&omm=144 (ie, that the first boot is AMBER, TINA, SHII ANN, RICHARD, or KATHY) is incorrect *or* the first boot is not male/not Ethan.

New intelligence from Panama ...

First Boot: Tina
Second Boot: Ethan

Remember in my story that it was my assumtion that Ethan would be the first boot because my deckhand friend remembered not seeing him around early on. That intel has now come into clearer focus.

As information is provided to me, I will post it here ... unless the general consensus is NOT to post it here. I plan to update my website soon to announce this.

This is so hard - I dont know chill one as I'm relatively new. However, there are several things I have noticed.

MB either out right gives it away as in last season when Rupert went to the other tribe and they won reward, or

MB makes it seems obvious one tribe looses and they in fact do well.

Now the big question is how much is MB and the clips playing with our minds. Is he making it obvious that Moga Moga does not fair well or is he trying to trick us - or is he making it obvious knowing we will think he is trying to trick us etc etc.

In SNN first real post - it seams as if a man goes first - which is what I will stick to since he is quite reliable. Now who that is who knows. I am not sure where the Tina is voted out first information came from and I havent heard anything else on this. I do not think they would vote off a strong male before a weaker female when both were previous winners. I see no hope for Tina in this tribe. I think when they lose a 2nd time the tribe maybe says - you know what - I love Rudy but we can not afford to lose again or we will all be gone. This also makes sense.

It seems that in all the clips the Moga Moga tribe is down and the Chapera tribe is up - whatever that means.

Well I think that the picture with Saboga and Tina not seen is the most perplexing which could then be viewed as the best evidence for a boot.

As far as SNN report, I believe the statement made was the first boot was male due to a sighting through binoculars? Anyone can make a mistake and with a ballcap on, who knows.

I much prefer Rudy in the whole scenario but Tina not visible in the picture, her past win status and the sighting reported is much easier to digest than what was originally reported by ChillOne no?

SNN is down otherwise the report would have been updated. When the report was first written, it wasn't very clear whether the first boot information was correct or not. It didn't sound correct hence the vague way it was presented... just passing along what was said.

In checking further later on once the previews and promos came out, it seemed clear that Tina was the one missing from scenes that appeared to be arrival at an E2 challenge. In checking with my contact in Panama, they admitted that they had 2 people who said Ethan was first but one person who insisted that it was Tina.

Good info, Griffe.

I'm going to put together a story later tonight on this "ChillOne" fraud. The guy lucked into a story in The Amazon (which he keeps upgrading after the fact -- I'm going to post his original descriptions compared to his current ones in our story), but everything about his Panama story seems ludicrous to me. Since I know that you've spent some time in Panama , do you have any comments about his claims about what it was like down there?

Hi AyaK

I've actually never been in Panama. My connections there are all through either email or telephone. Contadora is a very small place and pretty much everyone knows each other and since it's so small, people tend to gossip a lot since there isn't much else to do. But with any gossip, when it gets repeated, it becomes like the telephone game in that the last version will be way different than the original story.

All this to say that I understand how the Ethan being voted off first may have gotten around without it being true but people believing it to be true so I can't really fault ChillOne for that one. Though perhaps one would think he would have learned from his Amazon experience that he should double check and triple check before believing something as fact.

From what my Contadora friend told me, ChillOne was there on Contadora just the way he said he was and did make those trips to the camps with Jayson as his guide. As to whether he met with someone the way he describes it in his story, my friend doesn't really know. But his story does seem to have been embellished to give it a flair for the dramatique... ex: saying that "the man" knew of him and his book. The thing is that ChillOne brought his book with him and offered autographed copies to people hence the story would have gotten around anyway. So really I think he created his own reputation that same day as opposed to people knowing of him through warnings from CBS. Besides which I think he was there on December 20th which means almost all the Survivor crew was gone by then (except maybe the accounting staff for final paycheques to the locals).

One thing for sure is that I seriously doubt anyone from CBS was involved in any type of misinformation campaign. The locals do quite well in misinformation all by themselves mostly because of their poor recollections of events, the lack of interest in Survivor details such as boot order, their desire to please hence they will pass off their own speculations as facts.

It's no easy task to separate fact from fiction from them and spending one day with them as ChillOne did, isn't enough to get a strong grasp of accurate spoilers. But ChillOne maybe got lucky in that a lot of the information was already available on the internet by the time he got to write his report.

With all this influx of new contradictory information, I wouldn't be surprised if some of it was the doing of CBS. There's certainly a lot of...uncertainty!

We still haven't firmly established whether the second bunch of arrival caps is from the first IC or a later challenge. If it's from an Ep 2 challenge, Tina's absence looks suspicious to me, given Saboga's entrance configuration. But KB still seems to think the caps could be from the first IC.

Re: Tina -- as far as I know, the first info that existed on Tina was that she was (rumored to be?) the first boot from the Blue (sic) tribe. This was posted on one of the scorecards but I don't know where the info came from originally.

I agree Snewser saying the first boot "should be male" is the detail I'm most inclined to put faith in right now, but is he hedging with the binoculars comment, i.e. he's not positive yet?

Also I'm thinking more about the Mexico/Argentina set-up: I figured that MB probably sent off the first four boots to one location and then the second four to the other, but is it possible he might have sent them off in alternating twos, as an additional security measure? I can't see him shipping them off one by one, but by twos -- maybe.

Just playing "devil's advocate", I don't feel we can afford to be too sure of anything just yet.

I have to agree with all you skeptics. Chill One's story reads like a cheesy teen spy novel, with a depressing ending...his supposed F7 .

It just did not have a realistic ring! Sounded like complete BS, fitted to the pre-existing "intel" from Snewser and company.

Now that may just mean that he's a lousy writer, but it's more likely that he is a major DAW in need of a new fix.

Despite CO's report, I believe Tina goes first. It does call into play the motives of the players this time around: boot former winners first, or keep strength and vote out winners later (Why keep 76 year old Rudy no matter how great his physical condition is.. he is 76 and talks about dying while playing the game on the previews ) IMO, Ethan sticks around, at least a few episodes, and Tina goes first.

You need my avatar, Orange.

Actually I was surprised as anyone to see CO's F7 order match the scorecard. That really was best educated guess, and didn't come from the same sources, according to his descriptions. Info for that part of the game almost always turns out to be wrong. It would truly be a first if it turns out to be right.

I drew up the list of F9 on the scorecard based on a completely different avenue, and I've changed it once already. In fact, it's kind of bizarre and would make you laugh. I don't think the people CO spoke to could have arrived at the same conclusion the same way. In fact the meshing of conclusions is all very freaky to me now.

This post convinces me that ChillOne fabricated much of his story based on the SNN Scorecard...

Press Release Source: TheChillOne.com

TV Fan Goes Undercover to Nail Finalists of Survivor: All-Stars
Wednesday January 21, 9:02 am ET

BOSTON, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Who's going to win Survivor: All-Stars, the CBS series shaping up as the "Super Bowl" of TV's most popular reality show?
A fan who calls himself "ChillOne" believes he has cracked the well-guarded secret and unearthed the identity of the two finalists: Amber Brkich and Rob Mariano. And ChillOne, the alias of Boston resident Bill Marson, insists he holds the credentials to back up his prediction. He correctly named the two finalists a month before the season premiere of Survivor: The Amazon last winter, with a clear hint that Jenna Morasca would emerge as the eventual champion.

Marson infiltrated the notorious Survivor shroud of secrecy last December, during his eight-hour "spoiling" operation at the site of Survivor: All-Stars filming in the Pearl Islands off the coast of Panama. Resort hotels were blocked and waterway access restricted before, during, and after filming. But during a layover en route to a two-week holiday vacation near Buenos Aires, Marson hired a guide to escort him around the islands and met with an anonymous source with reputed inside information gleaned from members of Survivor's production crew.

"My source also told me that Jenna Lewis and Rupert Boneham will be the others to reach the Final 4," said Marson, author of The Spoiler: Revealing the Secrets of Survivor (iUniverse, Inc.) under his ChillOne alias.

Survivor: All-Stars premieres on CBS Feb. 1, immediately after the Super Bowl, and will run through early May. Marson's complete story of his Pearl Islands discoveries is posted on his website, http://www.thechillone.com . Highlights include:

* Before facing off in challenges, the 18 contestants were separated
from one another and escorted to their rooms by blindfold.

* Ethan Zohn, winner of Survivor: Africa, stumbled early and may be the
first contestant booted.

* Jenna Morasca dropped out early in the series due to concerns over a
sick family member.

* The fifth through seventh-place finishers are Tom Buchanan, Shii Ann
Huang, and Alicia Calaway.

* A bag of condoms found on the island of Mogo Mogo could tip off a
sexual union among tribe members.

Marson, who used similar sleuthing techniques in his trip to The Amazon, takes pride in his reputation as one of the most successful and most popular members of the spoiling underworld. A group of Survivor zealots featured by media including The New York Times, spoilers search for clues or leaks that point to potential outcomes.

"It's like a game against (Survivor producer) Mark Burnett," said Marson, who claims he learned covert techniques in a professional capacity. "I raised the bar with my success in The Amazon."

Marson insists that spoiling actually heightens interest in Survivor.

"With my 'intel' from The Amazon, everyone debated for months whether or not it would prove right," he said. "With Survivor: All-Stars, we'll all be watching to see how my information plays out this time, including me."

What's sadder is his stupid increasingly exaggerated claims and flat-out lies such as that he "correctly named the two finalists a month before the season premiere of Survivor: The Amazon last winter" and gave a "clear hint that Jenna Morasca would emerge as the eventual champion."

When did he NAME anyone? The guy's descriptions were all so iffy that half the cast could fit into any info that he gave.

The most laughable part is this though:

"...said Marson, who claims he learned covert techniques in a professional capacity."

Griffe, if I remember correctly, the F2 male had a "tight haircut."

I don't get this guy either. In one place he acts like he's just lucky to stumble across "intel", in another he brags about his extensive training in covert activities. He's not a writer, but he had a desperate need to write a book about his experience. Lots of contradictions...

91. "Link to S6 ChillOne predictions"
ChillOne's 'Survivor: The Amazon' posts

What can we learn? Well, he definitely knew something, but not as much as he now claims. As I said at the time, I've also been to Manaus, so I know that it's not all that remote.

How did he get there? To Snewser:

I really just got lucky. My friends and I planned a huge New Years trip about a year ago to Rio de Janeiro (which, by the way, was out of control). Anyway, I decided that if I was going to Brazil and spending 10 days in Rio, why not brach out and see some more of the country. I visited Iguacu Falls on the Argentina border and, being the eco-traveller that I am, wanted to see the Amazon. I booked my 3 day stay at Ariau 11 months ago !!!! Honestly, I prefer higher-end hotels and given the fact that Bill Gates and other celebeties had stayed there, I booked it (by the way, Brazil is very cheap). The food is AWESOME too !!!

And he was there after Survivor was done:

About the photo's that I will post later ...

Please keep in mind that these are POST PRODUCTION photo's. Everything was broken-down when I arrived. For example, when you see my photo's of the Tribal Council venue, it will be just a cleared out part of the jungle. There are a few reminents that I will talk about as well as where the Survivors were more-or-less sitting, voting, exiting, etc.

Then, later,

Quote:
"ChillOne's motivations are probably on the up-and-up, but while he believes his sources were sincere, we have to wonder how much they saw, overheard and were able to convey given they have no understanding of the game."

IceMan ... the staff at the Ariau were tasked (among many other things) with shuttleing/ferrying the camera and production crews in/out of the jungle on a 24x7 schedule to films S6. Granted, many of these people did not speak any English, but, the are not dumb. While they may not truely understand the day-to-day goings on of the show, they do have a good perspective (at a high-level) of S6. Since there are only a small handful of "boat guides", most of them worked long hours driving the S6 crews in/out of the jungle; thus, enabling them to witness the filmings. I'm sure that over the 3 months, they rapped among themselves and, with the help of the English speaking staff, figured out what was going on.

Quote:
"ChillOne, were you able to interact with any of the English-speaking post-production crew, or were they gone before you arrived?"

No. They were already gone.

So much for "covert operations."

On to the spoiling ... his first piece of info:

The deaf girl is 22. I do not know her name, but, she does makes it to the Final 4.

As we know, Christy was hearing-impared but did not make it to the Final 4 -- she was 6th.

On to the serious stuff, after the cast list came out:

With the honor of being voted off 1st (drum roll please) ...
Daniel

Followed by:
Ryan (not Brian), Joanna (african American contestant), and 'Another lady around 30'

OK, he had the first four, if you accept that Janet, 47, is "about 30." However, the order was Ryan first, then Janet, Daniel and Joanna.

To the heart of the matter, his prediction of the finalists:

FINAL 4 (2W, 2M):
Deaf Girl (as previously mentioned)
Jana or Jenna, 23
Another guy, 26; "strong build"
Another guy, 50

Now, we have some noticeable "gaps", and, this is where I'm relying on this forum to help put the puzzle together. As I mentioned earlier, I did not push for names ... I was more interested in trying to see filming locations.

Some Notes (to help with the name-game puzzle):

* I was told that 'Jana or Jenna, 23', was not the most "attractive" girl coming into the show, but, at the end (being in the Final 4) and loosing sound lb.'s, this contestant was considered to be the best looking. Now, that puts a little twist on my information. Jenna M. is a hottie coming into the show (based on the pics), so, maybe my sources were thinking of Jeanne Herbert (who looks more "average, all-american girl" sized vs. the thin model type) ??? Hmmmmm .... Then again, maybe Jenna M. was a few pounds heavier coming into the show (beefed-up knowing the food situation would be scarce). Anyway, I will go with Jenna M. for the Final 4.
* The 'Another guy, 26; "strong build"' was how this contestant was described to me. My sources forgot the name. Maybe its Alex, or Dave, or Matthew. I was told this person had a "tight" haircut possibly parted on the side. Also, this person was described as "big" from a muscle perspective, not body fat. This person also lost some major lb.'s.
* The 'Another guy, 50' could be either Roger or Butch. I will lean towards Roger since my sources did not mention a mustache.

Now, as more information is uncovered, we (as a spoiler team) should be able to build a better F4 off this skeleton. I am sorry this is all I can provide, but at least its something to work with.

Please let me know if you have any questions ...

- The ChillOne

And later...

Now, these "could" turn out to be:

1. Jenna (the only one that I'm pretty confident about)
2. Christy ??? (well, if she is indeed the hearing impared contestant), or, it could be someone else. Bottom line, this spot is reserved for whoever the female deaf contestant is.
3. Alex, Dave, or Matthew (not sure)
4. Roger or Butch (I'm leaning towards Roger

As we know, the final four were Jenna, Matthew, Rob and Butch. He had reasonable but vague info ... which, even to himself, only narrowed the final four down to 7 -- and one of those was wrong.

And down to the final two:

Well, The ChillOne is not done yet ... further intel tells me that:

4th place: Deaf girl
3rd place: Roger or Butch

which leaves Jenna and either Alex, Dave, or Matthew as the sole survivor.

Intel tells me that Jenna was "liked" more than her final 2 competitor (whichever dude that may be). But, we all know how that final episode can go ...

Yeah, two of these four were the final two, and he was right about Jenna being "liked" more. Although he later was shaken from his certainty about Jenna (by people pushing Shawna), I'm willing to give him that one -- anyone can have their confidence shaken by enough challenges. I am not, however, willing to concede that he "identified" Matthew.

Can we say D-A-W, boys and girls?

atherella:

1. Did Jayson give you permission to use his name?

Yes ... and he knew I was planning to write a story about my time in Panama. Jayson had no part in ASS, and, if you read my story closely, you'll find he did not really tell me anything overly tangible ... just a boat guide; what he was hired to do.

2. Do you still have confidence in your source, "the man", or do you hold any suspicious at all still that he may indeed be a plant?

Great question. Sure, I'm confident, but not as confident as I was coming home from the Amazon. You see, in the Amazon, everyone spoke about S6. The information was "pure". However, for ASS, people knew I was coming ... they knew what I looked like. So, the probability of my information being planted is much higher. However, I trust Jayson and the contact he arranged for me. He knew why I was coming. Although, I will be sitting at the edge of my seat each week at tribal council ... hoping that another "Christy boot" episode does not happen.

3. Was selling your book the only motivation in taking the story to the media, or was it more the fame? To become the spoiler of all spoilers, if you will.

Yes, I wanted to take my "newsworthy event" and use it as a promotional tool to help sell books. Look, authors, except for a small handful, are not famous. Most people do not like to read. Also, people do not become famous for having articles written about them or for being on the radio. Doesn't happen. My prime motivation was to continue my writing hobby. To present my information in a fun, creative way. Thats it. I doubt anyone (general public) will remember "ChillOne" a month after ASS ends.

Maharet LaFae:

how did he know it would be a "hot" news story 4 days before he was in Panama?

To begin, I think I used the word "potentially" (thanks LoserL). Look, I was doing my homework ... trying to get all my ducks-in-a-row before, during, and after my trip. If I was able to retrieve good intel, I wanted to be prepared to use it ... optimizing my time to market.

99. "RE: C1 responds to questions on Sucks"
Well it's good to know that he knows

The one thing I'm still having issues with is trying to determine just how much weight to give any of these people.

C1 has basically one source. If that source is lying/plant then his entire line of reason is out the window. Even if he isnt it has to be clear that this source was wrong about Ethan (whether it's Tina is still TBD, but seems reasonable), therfore how much faith do we have that the rest of his information is correct? Not much IMO, except for the fact it mostly fits Snewser's information...

Snewser obviously has multiple sources and spends much more time weeding out the erroneous ones. This is likely a large reason for his success, but has he become too successful in that when he arbitrarily puts down an order (as he somewhat indicated he did on the scorecard) that it gets taken as "fact" confusing all subsequent informatation that comes out. Meaning it really looks suspicious that C1 and Varner both have the same final group/order as snewsers self proclaimed "best guess".

Varner, I wanted to dismiss him entirely as being derivative, but after thinking about it some I have decided that isnt a good idea. Not that I think he has spoiled the show, because I dont, in fact the more spoilerish information I am convinced has come either from his direct looking at the spoilers or by the people he is getting his information from relaying those spoilers to him 1st, 2nd or 3rd hand as "fact". The real reason we cant discount him though is because he has access to these contestants. He knows them and while they arnt likely to tell him the "boot" order or anything else they think would get them sued... they might tell him something. For instance he indicates there is a confrontation between Rich and Kathy, obviously if it doesnt happen in episode 1 then it is something we can be looking for in previews or preview descriptions to identify "safe" players and potential boots. This is true also for any former contestants in that I expect we should be on alert to see what they might say concerning ASS as its possible one of them might say something "trival" that we can use to make the puzzle fit together a little better (that is previous contestants not named Jon ).

Hi all...

Most people seem ready to hold C1's story as the definite F7 boots. But, that said, think of the source, this "man". Think of all the articles coming out about spoilers and MB having to counter spoilers with false information. Would YOU risk a $5m NDA? C1 is confident in his source, b/c that is how MB wants it, if this is indeed a plant. Look beyond what everyone is saying, consider who is in the F7, it should be fairly accurate...but when it comes to the F2 and the winner...piece together the stuff you definitely DO know, use your minds and don't accept what someone says, just b/c it is said. There are hints out there that none of us seem to be picking up. Do you really think MB is going to let the F2 be spoiled before the season even STARTS? C1 was only on the island 1 day for numerous hours. How did he learn soooo much info in 1 day unless it was info someone wanted him to have. Just some food for thought.

Hi Atherella, welcome to SBlows.

Good points. I agree it's odd that the C1 was able to obtain such detailed info in such a short amount of time, almost as if it had been meticulously collated to give to him on his arrival. But I think most people here are viewing the stuff that's floating around, including C1's intel, with a healthy dose of skepticism.

Bastige! I wanted to do that (get post 100).

ICB, in my view the C1's intel is neither here nor there. Snewser had the same projected order up first, so if it's accurate, I won't be inclined to give C1 credit for anything. The only new info C1 offered was that Ethan was boot #1 and as you point out he already recanted that.

ETA:

when he arbitrarily puts down an order (as he somewhat indicated he did on the scorecard) that it gets taken as "fact" confusing all subsequent informatation that comes out.

Well, we're all aware, and it's been mentioned often here recently, that Snewser updates his scorecard as the season progresses and he gets new info. So anyone who wants to take his pre-game scorecard, which he clearly says is his "best guess," as "fact" does so at their own risk. But it seems like some people do anyway.

ICB, I think this statement summarizes the problem nicely.

Snewser apparently has one very reliable source that each week gives him that week's boot (and occasionally a few other tidbits). This is his only consistently reliable information, and he posts it on Thursday after the spoiler games close.

Because of this source and his checkmark prediction page, everything else on his site has instant credibility by association...that's where ChillOne and Varner and many others assume blindly that if it's posted on SNN, it must be a reliable source.

SNN and the WingedMonkeys deserve a lot of respect for the great job of spoiling and filtering of bad spoilers they apparently do. But as Snewser himself tells us, most of it is only his best guess based on the spoilers on the internet, the "tips" he gets and tries to confirm, the on site observations from contacts in Panama and good speculation based on years of experience with the show.

The only consistently reliable source is the prediction we get just before the show on Thursdays, that he has had for a long time and that he keeps well protected. The rest of his information (including the scorecard) is the product of high
quality spoiling, just like we do here and elsewhere in the spoiling community...

This excerpt from ChillOne's article seems to describe this challenge...
----------------------------------------------------------------
“This is where they held some challenges,” Umberto noted, via translation.

“What kind of challenges?” I asked.

“Some kind of water challenge. The contestants had to collect bamboo in the water, bring it to shore, and build some sort of a ladder on the beach.”

Yep, a typical Survivor challenge. And those who do poorly in the first challenges usually don’t last long on the cast.
----------------------------------------------------------------

This is not something that was described anywhere else and seems to give ChillOne's report a bit more credibility...

Just as with his Amazon intel, you need to mine the C1 info very carefully. He spoke with his sources. He got information. Was the intel 100% accurate? No. In general, was it helpful? Yes.

I'm sure as the show proceeds C1 will hit get many of the background pieces right. It's the accuracy of the boot list that is what's in question.

The main point I wanted to make is that ChillOne did not fabricate the whole thing based on the "scorecard" and other spoilers floating around.

I had stated to think that ChillOne may have fabricated information. Now I don't think so, but I agree with you that, just like in the Amazon, ChillOne has some information, he just is not very good at filling in the holes. A spoiler he's not!
