PLEASE NOTE: The Reality TV World Message Boards are filled with desperate
attention-seekers pretending to be one big happy PG/PG13-rated family. Don't
be fooled. Trying to get everyone to agree with you is like herding cats,
but intolerance for other viewpoints is NOT welcome and respect for other
posters IS required at all times. Jump in and play, and you'll soon find out
how easy it is to fit in, but save your drama for your mama. All members are
encouraged to read the
complete guidelines.
As entertainment critic Roger
Ebert once said, "If you disagree with something I write, tell me so, argue
with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."

Humanity has a nasty tendency to work with the twinned beliefs that light is good and dark is evil. In reality, this generally doesn't apply. In storytelling morality, it frequently really doesn't work out: light enjoys blinding you in the name of holiness while darkness can provide a cool shelter for rest. Sure, a lot of the time, dark is evil and light is good -- but they're not absolutes. And then there's this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheSacredDarkness That isn't a trope for worship of evil. That's saying that dark is as essential a part of the world and its mythology as anything else, that a world with no shadows is a place without the comfort of shade, and dark isn't only good, it's necessary, deserving of celebration and worship, and frankly may treat you a lot better than the light does. Out of the goodness of its shaded heart. Not a common trope. As a species, we're still trying to figure this one out.
