Meanwhile in Purple land, Jeb and Steph are freakin lazy. They just can't get into building a shelter. Jev is taking on food, and Steph is in charge of water.
Ted, Brian and Clay seem pretty chummy. They're worried about Jan and Helen. Woohoo! They found the water hole. Helen shoots Jan an annoyed look as she hauls the water to the boat, and Jan floats in the water. The were missing for 4-5 hours.
Umm, so far Shii Ann is UTR.

The flowers shown in preview are not complete... additional pieces are tied to anchors under the water out from raft area... tribe has to swim out one at a time to go get a flower piece and tow it back into to the main flower 'nucleus'... a person can tag out if the swim out to flower area and then back to nucleus to get someone else to try.. Jan and Penny tag out... Three pieces left each... Erin takes a dangerous looking spill as she dives/fall off flower 'nucleus' Sook Jai has one piece left... Chuay Gahn has one piece slightly behind... Sook Jai wins immunity... Dammit... I had picked Sook Jai for both challenges almost a week ago on the Spoiler Island game and I had Ghandia picked to go... I left those picks there until I saw ABT's picks at 6:00 pm tonite... and I changed them... If Ghandia goes tonite... somebody please, PLEASE shoot me!

I allowed myself to be led astray by the thought of ChewingGum winning IC. *sigh* by the way... the Hollow Theory isn't quite what you suggest (obvious target but ignored in previews)... Hollow Theory says that we see something to distract us from the truth... that what MB shows us, while truthful and accurate, leads us AWAY from the real truth we want to see. I would say the emphasis on "lazy" and the previews showing the Purple People, while very real, was leading us AWAY from the truth of ChewingGum back to TC. I've been thinking of similarities between S-3 and S-5 also:1) Fresh water is difficult to get. 2) In S-3 the players suffered in the dull dry desert heat of Africa. In S-5, the players are suffering in the monsoon rains of Thailand. I can't stand watching these poor people in this rain. I hate rain. I had to train in the crap when I was in the Army and I *hate* being out in it... so I feel awful when I watch these poor saps enduring it! So it looks like we're going to have to endure the suffering of these people for 13 episodes. Sheesh! 3) Similarities of players: Jessie vomiting; Tanya vomiting. Stephanie(5) sick, unable to do the challenges; Diane(3) sick, falling out in a challenge. Silas; Robb (or is this not a good comparison). Re. the "Great Divide" -- I think it had multiple meanings -- the divide in ages between the tribes, the divide between CG losing everything and SJ winning everything; the divide within SJ, rain-sleepers vs. shelter sleepers.I really think we are being set up for a CG final five here. They are down, there's friction, but given John's chat comments (Jan picked the best team, and a couple other comments of the same type) and Ghandia's posts, I think that CG will stop losing after this week and we'll see an implosion of sorts at SJ. As an aside, I'm glad I stuck with my gut and swam against the tide tonight. It's really easy to be cowed by ACME and all the other great spoilers out there, as they are so often right on. But the season's early yet, and there's much more spoiling to be done.

Wish there was a better place to bring this up, but I'm finding the vidcap threads too cumbersome to even bother with, this season. . .As I was watching tonight, I commented on how Ghandia seemed overly-friendly with Ted--as they were lying in the cave (listening to the snoring?), she had her hand draped across his inner thigh in an awfully familiar way. So when the previews of next week came on and she was bellowing about being taken advantage of, I had to ask WTF! I'd already decided this girl was calling the kettle (Helen) black, and is most likely a loose cannon at best, and a nutjob at worst. Feeling pretty damned confident she'll be next on the chopping block. GT

Yeah, GT, that hand on inner thigh sent up a red flag to me, too.
I don't care how chummy these guys get in what, 5 or 6 whole days? You don't put your hand there casually; that sends a signal. If I did that to a guy and I got a hand back I would figure I had invited it, ya know?Then again, after seeing Sean and Paschal do the mating roll on the beach, and Clay and Ted on the cave floor, I don't know what's going on with these people. Boundaries? What are those? I agree that Ghandia's the next Chewy to bite it. She confided her Helen vote to Clay, but Clay voted Tanya with the group (in spite of his problems with Helen's personality), making G the alliance outsider. Add that to her outburst, and buh-bye if they lose again next week. One thing about my wrong vote this week I feel good about--if Purple had lost IC, I have no doubt Steph was on the block, whereas She Devil seemed to be doing fine with the majority. She's definitely the tribal narrator at present--which is why I held back from voting for her. Not that I think she makes the jury...
