January 28 2006Following the success of Rock Star: INXS, CBS and Mark Burnett Productions will produce a second series of Rock Star this year.
INXS took the Rock Star challenge in 2005 and discovered a new lead singer in Canadian J.D. Fortune. The band then recorded their first album since the death of Michael Hutchence in 1997 with Fortune and is now touring the world.
Burnett Productions is remaining tight lipped about who the 2006 band will be. Early rumours suggested Van Halen but their management denied it was them. (Mind you, a denial from the Van Halen camp cannot be considered gospel).
Alice In Chains are also on the list as a possibility with Stone Temple Pilots also getting the occasional whisper as potential Rock Star 2 stars.
