ShowMeTheWinner 962 desperate attention whore postings DAW Level: "Fitness Correspondent" 04-24-02, 12:10 PM (EST) "RC Poll" LAST EDITED ON 04-24-02 AT 12:13 PM (EST) I did one last week and out of 42 votes, we had a whopping total of TWO correct votes. Talk about hard to pick huh? I hope the RC Poll will continue for this week and also weeks to come. Hopefully some of the arguments stated here will help some spoilers' decisions to pick the RC winner for Spoiler Island. Edited: Aargh... keep forgetting to include the Guidelines reminder coz some people didn't follow the guidelines last week. Guidelines: Put the RC winner in the subject column. "Tammy" The Tammy dancing pic although I do agree that she looks more like a native instead of Tammy. PS: Agree with you DarkLotus that most of the RCs have very little to do with the game itself. However I think that a lot of spoilers are still interested in it as shown by the number of discussions about Robert's hand versus Neleh's hair in the diving clip of last week. I think this thread will tie up nicely about what most spoilers actually think who the RC winner will be. And since the RC pick is also a part of the Spoiler Island game, I think the RC picks and reasonings here will help some people who are still undecided with their picks.   Top

Plus in the picure of Zoe, Pappy and Kathy laughing, I think they are laughing at Neleh giving everyone a recap of the evening.   Top

It seems to me as if Kathy and Robert are the most together team. I think Kathy's proven that she's not the "weak old one". Since this is a team race and they're running for the water, I'm assuming they need to be together through the whole thing. In the picture of Sean/Robert swimming, it looks like they're close, but I believe if the shot was wider you'd see Kathy just under Robert, while Paschal would still be waaaay behind Sean. I no longer believe the dancer is Tammy, as we've already seen (in the recap) that there's a male dressed in the same black feathered costume while everyone else wears grass skirts - it appears to be a male-female tribal dance. That said, it's still strikes me as odd that the only team not shown in a "Wow that's cool!" shot are Tammy/Vee - however those shots also strike me as the typical - "Wow, what a great reward!" - not "Wow we're so happy Tammy won!" ---------------------------------------- Now let us never speak of S3 again. Neleh - yes, Zoe - no Kathy - yes, Robert - no Paschal - yes, Sean - no Tammy - no, Vee - no? The one that several are going with truly seems to be the least likely to cry IMO, so I drop them. Sean seems to be a liability on water based challenges so I tend to discount that team too. I'm not sure you could drive a stake through Zoe's leg and see a tear so unless there is a great big gust of wind or a phone call from her son I'm betting against her crying as well. Which leaves us with Robert-Kathy, and the big ole softy Robert shedding a little tear of joy for the brisket he will be eating. -ICB   Top

"Kathy ,Robert" Based on what I have read in the other posts, and the vidcap; I'm guessing that Kathy and Robert are the RC winners. Usually when the previews strongly states something such as "The Underdogs," or in this case that something 'unpredictable' happens; it usually 'though misleading, but contains some small truth, hence the RC. While some are argueing that Kathy would try to loose the RC; to avoid becoming a target; I would tend to agree with that if, it was a solo challenge. Since Kathy is paired with Robert--an extremely likely jury member, she is not going to throw this challenge, and risk losing his vote. The vidcap shows them looking as 'though they have the best chance to win. The other posts show the winning team crying; who is more likely to cry than Kathy? Robert can't be too happy now since the shake-up; so winning the RC, brings tears to his eyes. Even though Kathy winning yet another water-based challege is not unpredictable; Robert, considering his sorry rowing exploits, does. My alternate pick is Tammy/Vee, for all the reasons already stated in the other posts. Elenor Roosevelt: No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.   Top

"Tammy/Vee" Here's my logic: - Not Kathy/Robert -- Robert has made a big deal of not crying when he got some skin hacked off his toe earlier. The General would not cry in front of millions of people. Also, Robert is out of shape and was embarassingly looked like he was losing a swimming leg to Sean. - Sean/Paschal -- It could be them, but I can't see them winning a physical challenge where swimming is involved. Talk about a double whamy for these two. That left me with Neleh/Zoe and Tammy/Vee I'm going with Tammy/Vee as slightly more athletic than Zoe/Neleh so I'll go with that pairing, although it's close. I actually got Kathy right the last time, so hopefully my picking of reward winners is better than my recent skill of picking bootings.   Top

"Neleh/Zoe" Neleh and Zoe are shown walking together at the back of the group in the infamous "Tammy IC necklace at the beach" photo. I think it's because they 'bonded' at the reward. I think Zoe has shown a soft spot by her inability to lie well and her efforts to keep peace in camp (when Robert was hurt, first to go help Kathy when she found food, sadness when Neleh and Paschal went to Maaramu, etc.) I think she will cry. Zoe has the strength to do it and Neleh has finally shown us that she can be a competitor.   Top

In the classic MB editing, this clearly means that she wins. Additionally, there is a pic of the reward where someone with a body-build similar to Tammy appears to be dancing. Putting these together, I predict that Tammy will win (with her partner, Vecepia). You never know what might be up my sleeeve...   Top

"Robert and Kathy" using deductive reasoning, this one was quite easy to figure out. First, there are very few absolute truths in the world, very few obvious facts....but, you don't need to be Jimmy The Greek to know that black people Suck with a capital S at anything that has to do with being in the water. Its a friggen scientific fact of life. So, that eliminates two teams right off the bat. That brings us to R/K vs T/V. For this round we are going to play the crying game. We have a pretty good idea that heleN probably has no problem shedding a few tears now and then, and we know that Kathy probably cries during Sunday football games when the mandatory United Way commercial comes on, so that brings us to Robert and Zzzzzz. Robert is an unlikely crier in any situation, but the simple fact is that Zzzzz isn't even a human being and therefore incapable of showing any emotion whatsoever. So, push comes to shove, my money's on the macho wannabe vs the tin man.   Top
