"Betrayal is a flaming arrow in the heart..."
LAST EDITED ON 11-10-01 AT 07:14 PM (EST)

or maybe that's love, but I'm mixing my metaphors...

Like several others, I previously thought Teresa was likely to be the next bootee, if she was going to go pre-merge and finish Diane's list. But thanks to IceCat's great job with the archery pics, I've changed my opinion to the popular one that Lindsey will go (thank goodness!)

And I think Kim P. will jump ship to cement this, maybe taking Brandon with her. My reasoning is thus: Carl hates Brandon, and Silas, though he grudgingly admits he was playing the game pretty well at that point. He doesn't hate Lindsey surprisingly. But most interestingly is that he doesn't mention Kim at all that I remember. Also Linda seems to like her from her chat.

And my final piece of evidence is the preview which ends with Kim taking aim, and the Survivor logo in flames. I think this may be a good spoiler that Kim is indeed the one that betrays her old alliance!

If Kim betrays her old alliance it would be the smartest thing she's ever done. She might move up in my book then. Right now she's way down at the bottom of the barrel due to her association with those other losers. We haven't seen a lot from her so I've come to the conclusion that she has no backbone.

Kim looked depressed as Silas was near hysterics after getting his 3 votes at TC. I think she was forced to join her current alliance due to the stupidity of the older samburu members by openly forming their alliance by age and not other factors. Linda was not a physical asset to the alliance, they could have used Kim. But Kim was not tendered an offer to join. When sides were drawn she had no where else to go. She is the strongest female left in the game. I think she's ready to switch, especially once she sees that Silas is gone and realizes that an alliance of 3 ( an alliance that has alienated other contestants ) will not survive once the merge occurs. The game is over for the Gen-x alliance; it is time for Kim to abandon the sinking ship and save herself. Once immunity challenges begin she can use her athleticism and a little luck to survive and then anything can happen.

Kim could emerge as the best female competitor, but Lindsey's expected physical decline hasn't yet weakened her to the point where I'd say that Kim's the strongest right now.
