"Keith, Tina, Colby - wins" It's fun to go early in the thread for the last episode. All the "logic" indicates that Keith makes the final two because he is the least-popular survivor left. But the "spoilers" do not. AK reminds us of Maralyn's comment that she knew which of the final two she would vote against. She says in her chat that Keith and Tina were her two best friends in the outback; she's still close to Tina and went to Keith's Detroit party. Also we remember the pictures of Keith and Lis' headdress in the opening sequence. And I love the picture volmel found of Colby and Tina. Sorry, but it's time for the chef to get sliced, diced, and sauteed. I have a harder time sorting out the jury vote. But I like Alicia, Jerri, Amber and Nick as a voting majority for Colby. Tina's only sure vote is Keith. On Friday morning, Colby will be one very rich young man.   Top

"Colby, Keith, Tina wins" I'm voting early today since I highly doubt that the Early Show will give us any clues to go on. I am basing this pick, as I have since mid season, on all the spoilers that Tina wins and working my way backwards. There is no way that Tina can afford to take Colby with into the final two. She has shown that loyalties to these people aren't worth risking the million, so I know that her loyalty to Colby won't mean crap when it comes down to it. And why am I so convinced Tina wins? There seem to be many spoilers out there for each of the final three, saying that each of them wins. Way back before Survivor 2 aired, I recall hearing that a woman wins it. I didn't think it could be Tina til the merger. There seem to be the most Colby or Tina wins spoilers and MB's comment that we'll like the winner this time, leads me to believe it can't be Keith...not to mention that the jury would have to have been on crack at the Ranch to vote for Keith. I think Colby doesn't win this IC because, heck, MB wants a dramatic loss for Colby, the God of IC's. I can hear JP now saying to the Colbster, "You were on a winning streak with Immunity. You lost the most important one. How does that loss of security feel?" I think Tina may pull this IC out and get to take her pick of her final two companion. Colby will know it's over for him at the point, he understands the game. If it pans out, I can't wait to see if T.Betty or I gets the jury votes right on the PTTE thread! I'll probably cash in on some bragging rights if at least my boot order picks are right. If they are wrong, I'll hang my head in shame and let you all poke sticks at me while calling me names.   Top

"Keith, Colby, Tina" I had been convinced for some time that it would be Keith/Tina in the final two. But MB has shown us so much of how Keith is disliked by jury members, there would be no suspense at all if Keith is in final two. The suspense build up lately (such as it is) is in how Colby will vote - his "dilema" about who is most deserving, his comment about loyalty to Tina, his dislike of Keith. So when Colby whens IC (again), the mystery is there as to who he will boot. And finally, he chooses based on loyalty and who deserves it more (Tina) rather than taking the sure win (Keith). "Keith, Tina, Colby" As I look back on my sophomore year at the Mark Burnett School of Editing, I am struck by the number of times Our Esteemed Founder tells us the truth first and then tries to misdirect us closer to the end of the episode. The Founder has also hit us over the head with Colby's "heartrenching" dilemma of keeping someone he likes vs. keeping someone he thinks he can beat, which says to me that Colby will get to make the decision. First, Colby told us his game with Keith was done, and then he did his soliloquy of nice person vs. beatable person #1. In the next episode, he tells us that his loyalty is only to Tina, then we hear S-O-N-P v. B-P #2. I think that when push comes to shove, he is nervous that he might be wrong and lose to Keith in a final vote, which would bother him way too much. He makes the illogical decision to guarantee that Keith can't win by not taking him to the final 2. Luckily for The Colbster, it works out anyway in the final vote. Hope there are some changes in the editing for S3 -- the ol' MB School is getting dull.   Top

I think that both Tina and Keith have a good shot at winning the final IC out of sheer determination if nothing else and both of them would be foolish to let Colby into the final 2. Why Keith to win? I have noticed a change in his demeanor or at least in the editing. He alone looks vulnerable and underdog-ish. He has been a stumbling fool the past few weeks, and a more human side has emerged. Yeah he's still arrogant but he needs the money more than Tina and...I always root for the underdog. Colby is just too "golden boy."   Top

There are a couple of wild cards here: First is who wins immunity. Will Colby keep up his streak and break Kelly's record? Second is the jury vote. To the first point I think that all good streaks have to come to an end and who knows if Colby would have been voted off if he hadn't won the last four IC's. There could be a smoldering fire there. To the second point, Alicia will be influenced by the other Kuchas more than Jerri (at least I think so) so I think she will lay into Tina. I don't think that Alicia's vote will be the decding factor though. With very little spoiler info going into the final, I am still clinging to the "Colby on the ranch comment" and, of course, Tina's husband would be satisified with money, but how much will it be, $1M or $100k. BTW, good luck Weltek on your jury prediction. The only reason I thought Amber voted with Jerri is that she was making some comments in her interviews about how she made waves at the final TC. It's all been said above and on other threads, and said well. I wrote down the names of everyone who voted this combo and if I have to go down in flames, it's in pretty great company. The main arguments that give me pause come from tonedef and desert rhino. Betraying Mom, that's a strong hint, plus I really feel Tina hasn't gotten enough face time; MB has just given us next to nothing about what's in her heart, except for her one speech about wanting the good guys to win--and she voted Lis and Rodger off anyway. I believe that MB played a game with himself where he edited this only knowing the Final Two, and he ought to have let us get to know both the candidates really well. The way we feel we know them is through the interviews straight to the camera, not through interactions with others or speeches at TC. I think that's an illusion, but it's a good tool and MB has used it a lot with Keith and Colby. I have now argued against myself for Tina/Keith/Colby, but I also believe MB edited for suspense, and I side with dangerkitty that Tina and Colby are the only close match-up from what we've seen. The reason I think Colby is a shoe-in for the IC is because of the storyarc we have seen over the last few episodes....we have been set up for the Colbster to make his big decision between who deserves to win vs who makes it easier for him to win the money. We haven't seen Keith or Tina talking about these things for a reason.....they won't be the ones making that choice. So, what does Colby do??? The smart thing to do is to boot Tina and win the million against Keith, but spoilers point to a different conclusion. First of all, MadDog's comments were a dead giveaway...her two favs were Tina and Keith so how could she know who she would vote for if BOTH made the final 2....that is another reason why Colby has to win IC tonight, so he can get into the fial 2 and make that choice easy for MadDog. I don't put much stock into Tina's husbands commments...I don't think we can get much from them. But, MB saying we will be happy with the result means that Keith can't win...and the only way that works (if you beleive the Lock Box) is if he is NOT in the final 2. SO, despite the logic of the other choice, I think Colby is gonna stick with the only alliance he has had this entire time, the TEXTEN alliance....maybe he is afraid that he will be screwed with the jury if he backstabs Tina (Ayak's theory I think) So, Colby tries the "Best in the game" argument against the Jury; THE JURY VOTE First, the easy ones: Keith: "I hate you Colby so I'm voting for my Outback sister" Rodger: "I love Jesus and so does Tina, so that's good enough" Lislis: "What he said" So, that's 3 votes for Tina. Jerri: "Payback time Tina!" Alicia: "I strong, Colby strong, so me vote Colby" Nick: "Pick a number one to ten? Tina = 3 Colby =7 , 7 is the winner. So, its 3-3 tie heading into lamber.
