"What would it take to make Extreme Makeover Big Again?" |
Hello, This is my first time posting a message on this forum. I am doing a communications plan for a PR course at the University of Calgary, and I need some feedback for my research. I thank you in advance for your input. Given the controversial nature of Extreme Makeover (the plastic surgery one), what would it take for the show to be as big as it was back in 2003? Or is this show simply a lost cause? Please give your thoughts about anything regarding this show. Thank you! Rashmi

Does this show still air? Season one was great. They took their time with each person, & they really wanted to show the step by step process. Now they rush it. They are in such a hurry to reveal what the person looks like. It's way too rushed now. When it first came on it seems like they had "real" people who really needed help. I loved that. But now it's best friends who want to look hot again. I do believe this show is OVER. They will have to go back to the way it was & maybe people will start watching again.

>>When it first came on it seems like they had "real" people who really needed help<<AMEN!!! It degenerated fairly quickly into the "I wanna be a hot granny" kinda stuff. It was kinda touching when it was people with really unfortunate facial problems or folks that already lost 300 lbs & needed a body-tuck. Once they were doing average-looking people who just wanted really expensive cosmetic dentistry and a little lipo -- or need to be fixed because they had worshiped the sun for the first 40-50 years of their life so now they look like a saddle...too bad. Don't care about them.
