with me, correct me--but don't tell me to shut up. That's not the American way."
I think the point is not just the frightening aspect of being restrained but the humiliation and dehumanizing aspect. This dingdong of a LC thinks that the only way to break someone is to humiliate and demean them. IMHO she is taking out all her life's anger on these poor women. I do not think that she has dealt with her past traumas and so she tries to hurt the women like she was hurt. I think it's nauseating to see this type of behavior from someone who calls themself a professional. If she had done this to a client outside of SO, my feeling is that she would be sued.
