The other reason I think it must be Kevin is that he was the only model that asked for more clothes the he was allowed. Who else but an experienced model would think to do that?

This show has the potential to be very bad in the best possible way. Steroetypes abound....these vapid, man-Naired, twink boys are bound to give some good drama. There has never been a more self-absorbed group assembled for our viewing pleasure.Any show that pulls in Derek Zoolander is OK in my book. I'll admit, watching did make me a bit...uncomfortable? Got to love Bravo, tho! The evening started off with Sigfreid & Roy chatting with Maria Shriver, follwed up with some Queer Eye, then a bit of Manhunt as the capper. Tuesday is probably the gayest night of TV ever! Kudos, Bravo, you're fabu! Half-naked men falling from the sky, tandem jumping in their Calvin boxer-briefs? Why do I fear it's all down hill from here?

Brett was very weird looking, like some modern Frankenstein and if he wasn't mormon with kids I'd never think he was hetero. John Starling was the boy version of Blindie Amanda on ANTM and I was surprised he got such a fast boot. The other two were whatever, Casey looks just like every decent-bonde-structure white guy. I agree Kevin P. is a terrible mole. He has no insights whatsoever and is useless. His judgments are no different than what any judge can see for him/her self, and what sort of mole acts bad? Of course he's going to protect his buddy Tate, who is really not handsome, nor is the horsey faced 60's looking guy. The islander guy Carmen was drooling over is very handsome, but the best model is the slutty-looking, long-haired skinny guy, his name may be Seth, he was one of the last few. He totally looks like the models in magazines. Carmen isn't exactly Tyra, is she?

My problem with Seth is that he has an underbite that makes his chin a lethal weapon. Carmen is a K-Mart Tyra. No class.

I've always like a hint of hair, the way it looks while it's growing out. I find that sexy for some reason. I hate hair that is too long and sticks out at the neck, especially back hair! Ewwwww! I highly endorse shaving or at least trimming at the very least.

Darn. I didn't get a TiVo Season Pass because I have been "maybe" on this show. I forgot about it last night, came to see what happened, and see my two favorites eliminated! Bummer, because I really don't like Tate or the Kevins, so I am no longer going to watch this. I think I don't like any of the remaining candidates. There are 6 left, I think, the above three plus the Vin-guy, the bald guy and someone else I can't remember. Oh--the short idiot, he's my favorite because he is dumber than any of the women on ANTM. Hope he wins, but won't be there to see it

84. "Jon Jonsson in NYC (new article)" |
Carmel man is the 'most gorgeous male model'By BRENDA MOORE Herald Staff Writer Dec. 2nd 2002 The day after he was named the nation's best-looking male model in a reality television series, Jon Jonsson was at home in Carmel on Wednesday doing something decidedly unglamorous -- his laundry.
But on Friday, Jonsson is heading to New York to launch a modeling career that was the top prize in the Bravo cable network's television show "Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model." Jonsson, a 2000 graduate of Carmel High School, was among 20 young men who made it to the series after a nationwide search. Over the course of eight episodes, a panel of judges knocked off the other contestants and Jonsson emerged the winner. The finale was broadcast Tuesday night, but was actually taped in August. Since then, Jonsson has been living at his family's home in Carmel, keeping the finish a secret, and waiting for his new career to begin. "I just wanted (the series) to end," he said. "It's been weird going out with my friends and getting asked by people, 'Did you win?'" Now, America knows. In the final episode, Jonsson was criticized for his height (at 5 feet 11 inches, short for a model) and a perceived lack of drive. But he was praised for a near-perfect gallery of photographs and host/judge Carmen Elektra declared him the "most gorgeous male model." His prize? A contract with top agency IMG Models and a guarantee of at least $100,000 worth of modeling work. That starts this weekend with a photo shoot for a four-page spread in a magazine. Jonsson expects to model for a few years, then return to his studies at the University of California at Santa Cruz, where he's majoring in astrophysics. Jonsson, 22, was born in Iceland. He and his family lived in New York and Colorado for a time before moving to Carmel when he was in the seventh grade. His father, Haflidi, is an atmospheric research scientist with the Naval Postgraduate School, and his mother, Nanna, a Thai teacher at the Defense Language Institute. Jonsson spent his teen years studying, surfing and playing music (he plays piano, clarinet, bass clarinet, baritone saxophone and guitar), then went to Monterey Peninsula College before transferring to UCSC two years ago. Jonsson had done some modeling but wasn't really getting anywhere until his San Francisco agency sent him for an interview for the show. A couple of months later, representatives from Bravo called and said he'd won a spot on the series. "I was really skeptical about the whole show," he said. But he decided to take a chance. He headed to Los Angeles and started competing in the sometimes bizarre series that started with a modeling "boot camp" and ended with a nude modeling session. His favorite part was a week in Puerto Rico; his least favorite, the bare-all session. "There were all these people around and camera crews," he said. "The footage was pixilated (for broadcast) but you know, there's still this original footage around somewhere." In the end, he was happy about how it all turned out. "It looks really promising," he said. From: http://www.montereyherald.com/mld/montereyherald/news/10320000.htm

87. "Jon's Interview - TV Guide" |
Manhunt's Jon Strikes Victory Pose by Dave Anderson One of Bravo's latest additions to their ever-increasing reality lineup, Manhunt: The Search for America's Most Gorgeous Male Model, aired its juicy finale last week. Iceland-born Jon Jonnson — the 22-year-old single Adonis pictured here — was crowned the winner, beating out popular runner-up Rob Williams (who just happened to be the only openly gay contestant in the Top Ten). In the end, Jon snags $100,000 and a prestigious modeling contract with IMG, plus a free interview with TV Guide Online! TV Guide Online: Congrats! Did you think you'd win? Jon Jonnson: Well, actually, I really didn't. I thought I had the worst chances out of almost anyone there. Out of all the guys, I had just about the least amount of knowledge about the fashion industry. But then, I quickly realized that the competition wasn't about that at all; it was about confidence in front of the camera. TVGO: Were you nervous about the nudity required? It definitely added drama. Jon: I wasn't freaked out about the nudity or the nude shoot. It was mostly because the whole camera crew, the sound guys, all those people were gonna be there. I thinking I'd probably do a nude shoot, as long as it was under my terms. TVGO: Your you-know-what was tastefully concealed. Would you ever go the full monty? Jon: Yeah, I probably would if I felt like it. If the photographer was Bruce Weber, someone great like that... But Karl — I hadn't heard of him before, so I was really skeptical about how the photos would turn out. TVGO: How soon do you start working with IMG? Jon: I'm flying to New York tomorrow and moving there! I currently live in Carmel, California. TVGO: You're originally from Reykjavik, Iceland, but you have a rather Hawaiian look. Jon: Everyone says that. Actually, I'm half Thai on my mother's side. So I get the half Thai from her and the combination gives me somewhat of a Hawaiian look. TVGO: Well it's a good combo. Many Manhunt fans would love to Thai one on with Jon! Anyway, have you always wanted to model? Jon: The desire to model has never really been there. My past was flying planes. I went into physics at school and was just studying at UC Santa Cruz to become a pilot. is a great way to go into this whole modeling thing because it's really hard to pursue it. Ninety-nine times out of 100, models end up becoming waiters. I just want to have my secluded little life and be happy. TVGO: You were criticized about needing to "do something about your teeth" on the show. Jon: Yeah. That was mainly Kevin Peak that said that — he was the embedded model. He was mainly gunning for me to get eliminated early on. I never really liked the guy — I wanted to beat him. And he ended up being the embedded model! TVGO: Were you guys really shocked when Kevin was revealed as a mole? Jon: Yes, they covered it up really well. I mean, we thought was gonna be just like America's Next Top Model, where it's just the modeling and no crazy twists. We never realized they would throw us that big of a curveball on the show. Of course, there were subtle little . At the airports, he claimed he was from Florida. He didn't want to show his California passport or ID, so they'd hide him from us and everything. It was little things like that which clicked when he revealed himself to us — otherwise, we had no clue. TVGO: Speaking of surprises, four gay guys came out on the show. Were you ever hit on? Jon: (Laughs) No, I wasn't hit on at all. I mean, I probably wouldn't even know it if it was happening. Rob and I definitely made really good friends on the show. And I had no clue that Ron, John S. and Blake were gay until we met up to promote the show after it taped. We all became really good friends. http://www.tvguide.com/news/insider/041206c.asp
