"Top 20 (Take 2) Rankings" |
I always look forward to reading everyone's comments and rankings. We had a big variation last week. This week: Caitlynn/Mitchell: This is the one that made me say 'wow' the most. Thouroughly enjoyable and one of the few couples where the male dancer was the equal to the female dancer. Marko/Melanie: Really enjoyed this. I thought Melanie especially rocked it. Sasha/Alexander: She totally outdanced him but it still scores pretty high. Jordan/Tadd: pleasant but not extraordinary. I admire that Tadd's a B-boy doing this though. Iveta/Nick - Bollywood. Good but not overly memorable. Put me down in the category of people who think that Iveta is more attractive without all that makeup. Ashley/Chris - Innovative use of the bars Ryan/Ricky - I thought that the choreo was interesting esp. in the way they intertwined in new ways (like Ryan climbing onto Ricky when he was in a sumo-style pose)
Clarice/Jess - methinks they are in trouble again. This didn't grab me. Missy/Wadi - they were painfully out of their element but they deserve another chance. Robert/Miranda - another that didn't grab me. They are probably in trouble again.

1. Caitlynn Mitchell- I really liked this and they connected the best for me last nite2. Robert Miranda-I love these two, I think I'm the only one! I think Miranda is amazing but I fear for her safety tonite. Robert and Jordan could go so she could be with Tadd!! 3. Ashley Chris-loved the choreo and Chris was amazing. I love Ashley her naivete is refreshing 4. Iveta Nick-love them. Not the best Bollywood but good I really hope they tap next week 5. Tadd Jordan-good work esp by Tadd Jordan is annoying 6. Melanie Marko-Melanie is too cute and too pimped for me Marko is getting there too on level of pimpitude. I liked the choreo alot 7. Ryan Ricky-I like the choreo and song but wished smilebot wasn't dancing it 8. Sasha Alexander-don't like this couple. Alex bothers me and I didn't get connection as much with them as with Cait/Mitch 9. Jess Clarice-oh no they are in trouble they were awkward when together. I hope they somehow both stay but Jess esp. 10. Wadi Missy-don't like her too much in your face. There wasn't much together work on ChaCha and Wadi was not that good. I think Wadi's popularity keeps them out of b3

1) Ashley & Chris - Most interesting concept combined with well danced = number 1 last night.2) Melanie & Marko - Pretty good. 3) Sasha & Alexander - Also pretty good. (Tossed a coin to decide 2nd vs 3rd.) 4) Jordan & Tadd - I hate her, but they did well last night. 5) Caitlynn & Mitchell - They were blessed with a Stacey Tookey routine, and they didn't screw it up. 6) Iveta & Nick - Not the best of the night, and I'm blaming Nick. Iveta brings up Nicks average and places them middle of the pack. Sadly, I don't think voters will agree. They're both in danger. 7) Ryan & Ricky - Not bad. Not great. She's not very likable, IMO, but they did OK again last night. 8) Clarice & Jess - Not bad. Not memorable. Probably doesn't bode well, since I'm pretty sure neither has a fan base. 9) Miranda & Robert - Another "meh" performance. Based on Robert's resume, he should be doing better. I like her, but I suspect they're both in trouble again. 10) Missy & Wadi - Sorry, just not good. Double dinged due to music by Ke$ha. Blech. (Yes, they should be ranked higher. I don't care.) Thanks to tribephyl for the sigpic! I really need to make my list during the show. I have a hard time remembering the details the day after, even when I use the ECST as a cheat sheet.

Here are my rankings:1. Sasha & Alexander, hip-hop -- it was such a lovely routine! I loved it! 2. Ashley & Chris, Broadway -- I thought it was very enjoyable, but there was one routine I loved more. 3. Jordan & Tadd, Viennese waltz -- I wish Tadd was with Sasha rather than with Jordan. He's the best of the hip-hop guys. 4. Iveta & Nick, Bollywood -- a real nice routine but I liked the other three routines more. 5. Caitlynn & Mitchell, contemporary -- the leap over the chair was the best part of the routine. 6. Melanie & Marko, jazz -- the choreography let them down. 7. Miranda & Robert, hip-hop -- better than the jive although the stumble hurt their routine. 8. Clarice & Jess, contemporary -- would've been better if the choreographer had taken Jess's height into account. 9. Missy & Wadi, cha-cha -- Missy was fine but Wadi let her down in this routine. 10. Ryan & Ricky, jazz -- no sexual tension whatsoever!
