I'm not sure I understand where all the Kayla hate comes from. Other than the judges pimping her beyond belief, she herself doesn't seem to have done anything wrong. I haven't seen tonight but she's always been supportive of the other dancers on other nights and seemed to have a good rapport with her partners.
She can't help what the judges do up there on their little dais. I think she's just as much a victim of their praise as Evan has been of their criticism.

The first time I noticed Brandon might be a contender with Ade was last night. When Brandon did his solo with the devil music, I was afraid for Ade.
I love Evan and I do understand about having different styles for the finale as they don't want a split vote because they so dont't want to do Idol. *ya, right*
Brandon and Ade are too similar. It was a good play by Brandon to appear naked (I know that he was "covered" but come on people, for all intents and purposes, he was naked) but he took the cheap road and it paid off.

I don't think Brandon took the cheap road. He's done this solo before and he knows it's a huge hit. People have been dying to see it (his scantily clad body probably moreso than the actual dancing part of it) again so he gave it to them. That's not cheap. That's competing.
That said, I don't think him and Ade are that similar and in the real world I don't think Brandon would give Ade much competition. Brandon does everything competently and put together one really great solo. He was always going to make the finale because he was always going to do this solo at final six.
I love Brandon and I'm so glad he's in the finale. I hope he wins. I love Evan and I'm glad he's in the finale but he doesn't deserve it over Ade. Imagine what a Brandon/Ade dance would look like. It could have been as gorgeous as the Neil/Danny dance. Evan can't accomplish that.
I'd have loved to see a girl win this season but I don't think either of the ones left are better than Brandon AND I don't "favor" either of them over Brandon.
This is all in my own opinion, naturally.

She just wasn't as impressed with him as everybody else. Lil C was the same way. They weren't seeing what was making Mary cry (more like blubber like an idiot). If people were going to fall all over themselves about him, she wanted to see more. Good for Brandon for sure, but I don't fault Mia for wanting him to be better. I want him to be better too. If a male contemporary dancer is destined to win this season (which, hello? a guy will always win because little girls vote for them until their fingers bleed.
