Ok so far the "Freak" family seems to be spot on. Granted their life isn't the most "normal", but they take care of their family. And they have good boundaries and seem to be very good parents, because they teach children the things that matter. Now i don't agree with the friends always in the house and their kids not having many friends, but in the end they will probably turn out better for it. The "Miss Teen" family seem out of touch with real values. This focus on looks and friends before school work and real values is going to bite them in the butt. The whole thing with dad flat ironing her hair come on now that is a bit much. I think a balance between the two families is probably ideal.

I think both Mom's offered some good ideas that gave some great balance to each family... however the Czeriniawski mom was unbelievealy rude and insulting. While the Kinison mom was always willing to meet on equal grounds ... her 15 min talking timer was a great example..even though she was interupted repeatedly during her stay at her host families home...she immediatly gave 15mins back to her host hubby to respond. I thought the Czeriniawski mom was completely stuck up...she had to sink to insults about a 'filthy' home... like she cleaned??? HA! She seemed to think that because something wasn't shiny new and sparkly it was 'filthy'?? What a snot. Kudos to the Kinison family for taking the higher road and being the better people ... chosing to take lessons that might better their family as opposed to petty insults in an attempt to make themselves look good on the show... (hint to the Czerniawski Mom.... you did not come across looking better... just shallow and petty)

As far as the "freak show" family goes the only thing that I thought that needed some changing was more social interaction for their children and lessen the time the friends come over. Otherwise, the family is basically right on target with their family morals, and they were open to the two ideas that the new mom offered and kept them. So, clearly it wasn't like they were trying to prevent their children from having friends. It was clear to me that this family loves each other and wants the best for their children, who get quality time. The daughter having a straight jacket didn't bother me at all. I am a mother of a two and five year old and it isn't rare for them to steal the tie on their father's robe and come to me asking to be tied up so they can "escape", it's a normal kid thing. The fact that the little girl didn't share her enjoyment of being an escape artist and owning a straight jacket was for about the same reason that a kid who prefers to read oppossed to watching cartoons.Now when the new mom went to this family's home, I thought she was being such a stuck up and materialistic b!tch. I agree with another poster, the new mom's reason for saying the home was filthy was more based on the fact that they didn't own new designer furniture or live in a big house, because I didn't see any filth. I also thought it was extremely insulting when the new mom asked if the guy was a father or the devil!!!! His priority was to feed his children over cleaning a small mess how does that constitute her even questioning his parenting?!!! Then for her to go on acting concerned about the children getting their teeth brushed just goes to show how little she knows considering brushing before eating only defeats the purpose and besides if she was so concerned about the children she would have gotten off her lazy butt and cooked them something to eat rather than to make them wait for their father to get home at night. I really laughed when the woman stated that she learned how strong she was from this experience. Honey that wasn't strength it was called being a spoiled brat which is what you were when you came into the experience and what you were when you left it. As far as the lifestyle of the other family, well I got a kick out of how the mother thought the other mother was a slave when her husband had to work four jobs so that she could sleep in till noon, go tanning for most of the day, and shop. This woman can't say that she works because when the new mom went into the tanning salon the only thing they said the regular mom does is wipe down tanning beds!!! Yes, the mom coaches her daughter's cheerleading squad but she clearly doesn't take much time out of the day to come up with cheers from the sound of it. So, the woman doesn't really do anything all day other than what is fun to her and she can't even cook her family a decent meal, heck that's the least she can do and the fact that she doesn't even do that speaks volumes. Then the whole emphasis on looks and social life was awful. Basically, they were more concerned about their children's popularity than their future abilities. Popularity pretty much ends once school does so they aren't helping their kids at all. I thought that the new mom was great with the family. She truly cared about them and was more patient than anyone else would have been and she remained respectful. I do think that she made an impact on the children and a little bit of one on the husband considering the fact that he is ending work once he is home and helping the children with their school work. As far as the mom goes, well she looks like she's the same and I thought it was obnoxious that she told her children they couldn't keep the gifts that the new mom gave them. You know stilts and balancing boards are not strictly tools of the "freaky" most gym closets have them and they can be found in the toy aisle.

I loved that she was receptive to other mom's ideas. Jeremy seems like a nice guy...but he really does need to gain some maturity. It was impressive that Anna got through to the workaholic dad...their family will certainly gain a lot from that. The Barbie mom probably has the most changing to do. Although not a bad person, her life is very plastic and materialistic. She certainly needs to find a charity to volunteer for....she needs to realize self worth doesn't come from looks and things.

I was so sick of hearing Jamie talk about how strong she was. Why because she got up before 11am? She was the only one who didn't get anything from the show. I read her after the show interview and I cannot believe she was ever a single mom. She made it seem like the Kinison family was forcing their lifestyle on their kids, but that was exactly what her and her husband were doing to their kids. The little girl has to wear what her mom does? Did you see her face light up when Anna told her she could pick her own clothes. Jamie was the only one was not receptive to anything. She is very lucky to have a husband that puts up with her that's for sure. Even Jeremy hid his tatoos and went out worked all day, came home, cooked dinner, and she was still giving him crap. Jeremey did start helping out more at home and cut his friend time down. What did Jamie do?? Started undoing everything Anna did. Props to Jeremy and Anna. They both learned from the experience.

I have not yet seen the show but judging by her use of the english language and the inability to script, I have no doubts that she is a failure not only in life but also to her children.Perhaps I am slightly biased because I know Jeremy, Anna, Kataya & Ryan personally, & the childern are the most well behaved, intelligent, and respectful children I have ever seen. If I had children I would trust Jeremy and Anna with them without a doubt. As for her calling Levi a spic, well, I guess that just shows her integrity for what it really is. If you go on national TV saying things of such nature, how could you possibly expect any support from anyone, let alone your own family. Hopefully MRS. PLASTIC does not bestill these kinds of ideals in her children, for it will cause them to not have a very nice life, or a cultured connection to thier community. All of this being said, I am glad the kinison prevailed over the tanned plastic woman & hopefully when she sees herself behaving in such an inapprpriate manner she will understand her bullshit needs to stop, but people like that inevitably fail in the long haul & I can't say I didn't wish to see the decline of such a pig headed sociopath. AFTER the airing: I was impressed with Jeremy (is that the right name) -- the pierced guy -- his sincerity, his vocabulary, his iq. I think that kind of pushes folks into the alternative things, when ordinary life is just too dull. But, like in NYC back in the day, there was this chain of electronic stores called "Crazy Eddie's" and he would get on tv and do all these outlandish commercials... well, he made it work for him and there HAS to be a car dealership out there that sees dollars/profit over piercings. Keep trying, Jeremy. Don't give up. Make your unusualness work for you. And, if you get the reputation for selling good, reliable vehicles and cutting a decent deal, people will come in saying, "I want the guy with the metal in his head. He sold my buddies THEIR cars." And then I hope Jeremy eventually gets his own dealership one day with good, honest, sincere standup salesmen and mechanics.Sorry so long. That is all.

Ive come to know jeremy, and anna within the past week or so, jeremy is a stand up guy. We've been BSing about general things in life. He's a VERY intelligent man, Id be honored for the guy to kick me in the nuts.

When I saw the commercials for this episode, I was waiting for a real freak show, but it didn't happen. Well it kinda happened near the end when Jeremy freaked out and threw the chair, etc., but that stopped just as soon as it started. Did she say he was neglecting his kids? I know he said she said that, but I didn't hear her say it.
I thought that Anna was right on to try to change the household rules so that the kids did homework before other activities. How unbelievable that the N.J. mom really believes that being popular and fashionable is more important then an education? I couldn't believe that, very sad!!
What I loved about this episode is that, on national t.v., there was a real, true lesson about "not judging a book by its cover" for everyone to see.

Jaimie (guess that's her name) didn't come out and say that they were neglectful but she was definately implying it. She kept being rude, first insulting the cleanliness of their home then going on to say how their children are messy and that she as well as her husband is far more hands on with their children. The woman was basically being very demeaning and acting like she has high ethics and morals while the other family was a bunch of immoral idiots. I would have been just as angry as he was if someone was talking to me like that especially the minute they involved my children. Anna and Jeremy do look young and I'm assuming that they are, if so I can understand his temper in that situation. I am a 23 year old mother with a 5 and 2 year old and it is hard for people to take me seriously as a parent. Never mind the fact that my fiance and I both love our children very much, they are rarely ever with anyone but us, our children are healthy, smart and very very loved, they aren't deprived in any way and we live a family life like any other good family yet we are constantly in a position of having to prove ourselves. So, when someone has to go through that all the time and then have some materialistic snob who doesn't even take care of her children sit and insult you it tends to get under one's skin, it would mine.

Yes I agree it would absolutly get under my skin, too, if someone implied that I neglected my children- he just went a bit overboard, ya know? Throwing a chair isn't going to help. I wonder if he regrets that. And the food being thrown- that was nutty, too. You can't blame the lack of self control on being young, I believe he is 26 or 27, old enough to know better. Anyway- the show was entertaining for once!

I would have thrown the chair at Jaime..The "freaky" family loved their kids and were concerned about their
education not just their social status..Anna gave that little brat of a daughter some boundaries that were so needed,but did it in a loving way..I agree that the children need not be always around adults AND Jeremy acknoweledged that and made changes.He was open to Ryan's soccer and also his daughter's cheerleading.They are not trying to turn their children into little clones of them..As for Anna being a slave I don't think so! she does things for her family out of LOVE..Lil Ms cheezball New Jersy should take a lesson from that..Is it necessary to have a housekeeper when u don't cook?? Not a doctor, since it's techinically only a complex piercing rather than a surgery. It was $750. I did both only a couple years ago, and I don't regret it. I have no interest having that sort of a job. It's just not my bag. I'll go where I'm comfortable. I have a hatred for being told what to do. Ask me politely, and I'm fine, I'll go leaps and bounds. But the rude DEMANDING of everything is a sure fire way to make me hate a person. That may be an immaturity issue, but I also don't see a reason to "grow up". -I pay my bills, my kids get straight A's, and my family is happy. My wife and kids deserve everything in the world; -hence the day job. I may act like a rebellious retard, but not until everything else is taken care of. Jamie ONLY deserved respect for showing my kids new things. I commended her for it several times (and still do), and am happy to help my kids pursue anything their heart desires. The only times I disrespected her, she 100% deserved it.

No, seriously I really do enjoy sideshow more than selling cars.Define "grown up". As I understood it, getting a real job, paying your bills and having smart happy kids made you a great grown up. I think the more accurate thing for me to have said was; -that I don't understand why being a smartass, loud and obnoxious makes me less of a grown up. I am still old(ish), and I am still responsible.
I'm purely reactionary. When people treat me well, I treat them well in return. and vice versa. Granted it's always an exaturated response, but that's the way it goes. I'm extremely quiet and reserved until provoked (be it pleasant or otherwise).
Blindly respecting everyone I come accross <i>would</i> make me look like a better person. It would also make me every disrespectfull rude person's doormat.
Truth is, I just don't value interaction with rude, mean, condescending, overly judgemental people. Maybe my whole facial tattoo, over-the-top thing is a defense mechanism against things/people/attitudes I never liked in the first place.

Tattooing and piercing have been around as long as human kind has so in actuality it isn't that "different" or "abnormal". It's not something new. How are we as a society supposed to teach our children to be comfortable with themselves if we are telling them not to look certain ways because they will not be accepted? I find it ridiculous that people have such issues with tattoos and piercings and judge those who have them as being "evil", "immature", and "irresponisble" yet where is all the taboo with these people who wear practically nothing and reak of sex appeal? Where is the taboo when stores are putting out sexy clothes for young girls to buy? When are the people in this world going to stop concerning themselves with petty things while they let other more important issues pass on by?
As far as throwing the chair, maybe we wouldn't have all done it or agree with it. But honestly,if I put up with someone that downed on my family and myself for a week and had me wait on them my anger would have peaked as well. Yes, the woman did a couple of good things for the family, but the minute she got into that room and was alongside her husband she really started to be more demeaning. As far as giving the woman respect, well the guy did that and wasn't gaining respect back, so why continue to do so it only leaves him being walked on and her thinking she's even more of a princess.

I also wanted to add one more thing. No matter what we are all going to be judged, even for things we wouldn't expect to be judged on. For example, my fiance is a carpenter, which can be a dirty job, not the kind of job that one would wear nice or expensive clothes to and most people don't expect a person to. Yes, he had work clothes that looked like work clothes (paint stains, etc.) but they were clean and most people would not have seen an issue with what he wore but his boss did. One day his boss pulled him aside and actually said that if my fiance wore "better" clothes to work then he would possibly get a raise. His boss, who was materialistic, actually wanted my fiance to wear name brand clothing to work, which in my opinion is ridiculous. If he didn't do this then his possiblity of a raise was lessened even though he knew what he was doing and was a hardworker. Well, we couldn't afford the brand of clothing that his boss wanted him to wear but we did go out and buy him new work clothes (that only ended up looking the same as his old ones) and guess what not only did he not get a raise but he was also laid off to find out that he was the only one while the others worked and guess what kind of clothes the others wore? Not only was he discriminated agianst but so wasn't another man who was a hardworker who just couldn't make ends meet enough to feed his family for an entire month so had to make use of food stamps. Everything was going well for this guy at work until he made mention of the food stamps all of a sudden the boss laid him off when he needed the guy. So the point of this is we may as well not conform because no matter what we are all going to be judged. So, what if Jeremy has horns and tattoos, it's only an obvious thing that people will use agianst him but if he didn't have that people would find something else.

To choose not to be goaded into anger would have been the best course. (And yeah, that's REALLY hard to do.) That doesn't mean grovelling and saying "you're right". He could have totally ignored her rude remarks and taken the conversation to a different place. He could have said "I disagree with you, but I want to thank you for the good things you did for my children." I guarantee you that every single person watching the show would have thought he was an amazing guy, and seen Jamie for the shallow, rude person she is. The way it played out though, with Jeremy throwing the chair and storming out, probably only made her more certain of her own superiority, and she probably DOES think she's even more of a princess. You don't give respect because the person deserves it. You give respect (or more accurately, behave with dignity) because that's what's inside of you. You squeeze a lemon, you get lemon juice. You squeeze a person with self-respect and dignity, you get dignified, respectful treatment. (And it has the added benefit of making the jerky person look even jerkier.)

I never pressed any charges against Charles because I was with him. We had a bad relationship both of us are to blame. However, after seeing the show he is someone he is not unless he did a complete 360 which I doubt. He was mental and phsically abusive and why should I let everyone think he is a wonderful guy. I have no reason to lie what would I gain from that?

Well Blnd, thanks to you not following through on your abusive spouse the world will never be able to know the truth that you claim.
Who knows if he changed, or if he was merely acting.
Do you think this concept called REALITY TV is any thing CLOSE to the actual reality?I can tell you it is NOT. i can understand and sympathize with your point of view, that you know this guy to be a jerk, but sweety, I'm sure he doesn't think much of you - does that mean the whole world should feel te same way? You are right you have nothing to gain from slandering him on here, so I have no idea why you are doing it at all, other than drumming up drama. I'm sorry you had such a bad relationship, but you really came off wrong on here.
