How is it that his going did not leave me lost?
Could it be that I'm set free and have already paid the cost?
What does it say about me as a human and a mother
That after nearly 30 years, he was just a bother?
Or does it say more about him as a disrespectful son,
not raised that way, using me up til I'm gone?The fact that I've resigned myself to having lost him long ago
In no small way makes it easier for me today to finally let him go.
For all his lies, decietfulness, for all his pent up rage
I was the one left feeling like an abused animal in a cage. Yes my heart aches for him, as it has for oh so long
But it is in our weakness that we find that we are strong.
It is then we find we must do that which must be done
If only to save ourselves or at least our mortal soul
To finally just cut the chord, which is our ultimate goal. You know it's time to do it and be done with all the sh!t
When friends worry about you and show their concern by
daily checking in to ask "have you killed each other yet"? It does not mean I don't love him or won't miss his handsome face
But I've already lost everything dear to me because of him
And go to saying "I'm" from once I had said "we're"
I had to put him in his place, which is anywhere but here. 
Sorry to impose my daily woes upon you all, it's just so therapuetic
