Thanks for linking that article. I personally don't have anything against Danny, but if he's so talented and special and just plain above this stupid reality show and all of the other inferior dancers (as this article seems to state) then why the hell did he even audition?

I read this article earlier today, and was trying to decide if Danny was trying to make sure he got the new "fame" gig.
Rather foolish to bash Nigel while he is still in this thing.
Besides, IMO if the casting directors were going to look to this show to cast the new "Leroy" than Cedric fits that character far more than Danny does.

I have tickets for both. The three of us are going to decide if we want to do both, or just pick one.
According to the ticket, I have to call and confirm the morning of the show, and they suggest wearing comfortable shoes, as most of tickets are for groundlings, rather than seated ticket holders. Perhaps if, like you say, we go early, we can sit down for the show. lol

Anya, we have a real problem in that it is difficult to pin you down in a solo. Neither has been strong, and we know it is hard for a ballroom person, but this is a solo competition. We know you have the personality and the spark and you have grown so we will ask you to stay.
Shauna, there is no question is you are a great dancer, but the growth hasn't been there across the season, and the personality hasn't always been as strong, but you will have a glittering career as a dancer

ALthough, I'm not a Shauna fan, and don't think she would have gone much further anyway, I think the judges picked her over Anya because Anya is a ballroom dancer and the only other ones left in comp are Pasha and somewhat Lacey. There's too many contemp gals in the show...Shauna imo was the least talented and/or one in bottom 3 the most. I think they gave Jaimie her one free pass but she is in trouble next week and esp. when she doesn't have Hok votes (although someone said she has the Travis vote...but Danny should also)

What irked me the most about the judges decision was how it was worded. They tell Anya that she really needs to step up her solo performances because this is a solo competition also. Then they tell Shauna she has done great with her solos. Then they say Anya you stay and Shauna you leave.(not verbatim). To me that makes no sense!
I understand your point of view and it makes perfect sense.(I will say anything to please you my mistress). I don't follow the judges explanation. To me, that is what makes no sense!

At the beginning of the competition, there were 11 1/2 contemporary, 4 1/2 Hip Hop (Kam lists 1/2 Cont. & 1/2 Hip Hop), and 4 Ballroom, so it was much more heavily weighted towards Contemporary. In the early goings we have lost 6 Contemporary (Ashlee, Ricky, Jimmy, Jessi, Jesus, Shauna), while only losing 1 Hip Hop (Cedric) and 1 Ballroom (Faina). Because the starting field was so skewed towards Contemporary, they are forced to cut more Contemporary dancers to keep the specialties more even. What's left: 5 1/2 Contemp (Danny, Sabra, Jaimie, Neil, Lauren, 1/2 Kam), 3 1/2 Hip Hop (Hok, Dom, Sara, 1/2 Kam), and 3 Ballroom (Lacey, Pasha, Anya) -- much more even among the disciplines.
They should make it more even among the disciplines to start with so that the judging can be more fair and they don't have to keep saving somebody who sucks in their solos just because they don't have very many people in that discipline.
