I was a little surprised at how well Shauna did -- she did dance for her life. I take back my comment that she is off balance on her spinning -- she did 7 or 8 just fine. Jessi had 2 strong weekly performances, and 1 bad solo. Shauna had 2 ok weekly performances, and 1 great solo. Faina had 1 good and 1 bad weekly performances, and 2 ok solos. We did not like your solo, you lost your quality of dance and if you stay you will need to step that up. Shauna step forward, we have this rather dramatic term dance for your life and tonight that is exactly what you did. So you can go and sit down and rest for next week. Faina step forward. We know how difficult it is for ballroom people to do solo routines. Were you let down by your partner, we believe you didn't let your partner down but we judge you against the other two girls and you are going home. They were not unanimous for the guys. Pasha if you are to remain in the competition your solo will need to be stepped up. It was not good enough compared to past solos, but it will keep you in the competition. Last week we had a big discussion of what do we support really good dancing as we see it now, or the promise and uniqueness. We went with uniqueness last week and let a really good dancer go. We had the same discussion this week. Mary changed from last week and said we can't keep supporting uniqueness, Mary thought we should go with talent. Mia who lost her favorite to uniqueness went with Cedric. Nigel was in the middle and he says for the last time he will support him. If he is in the bottom three he will not be supported. As for Faina...she did seem a little cold, but at least she did a great solo unlike Jessi who basicly ran around the stage showing her panties. I think they really should have giving Faina a chance to work with a different partner...couldn't you just picture her and Pasha together...they would be fantastic.
